Evening sportsfans!! well today threw up far more questions than answers to be honest with the nap not really showing but at the same time it was a strange race.trying to second guess certain stables can be a perilous thing to do & the williams stable is one of them im afraid.enough of the doom & gloom so here are tomorrows thoughts...
DUNGANNON 2.30 DONCASTER (NAP)
Ian baldings admirable gelding can gain his first win of the season tomorrow as he comes here on his last winning mark & has also won here at donny.he does have a favouring for ascot i must admit but he should be good enough here under his favourite underfoot conditions.i think its a spin of a coin wether he prefers five or six furlongs but is very consistent at either trip & we'll take him to get our afternoon off to a flyer.
1pt E/W @ 11/1 (paddy power)
NOBLE MISSION 2.45 NEWBURY (NB)
I know that this isn't the most original of selections but i couldn't let him pass now he's back in a G3.with a bit of luck now that his famous elder brother has retired henry cecil's colt might just get the recognition he deserves after an admirable campaign at group level & take this prize tomorrow.now i must admit he's not without his quirks which seems to be somewhat of a family trait but there is one deciding factor that i have to point out.up until his last run he was most progressive this season picking up a decent G3 & being placed in some really strong G2's but the thing is all his runs prior to his last one where with the hood on & for some reason only known to sir henry they left it off last time & he pulled like a bison so the fact he got as close as he did was testament to him.needless to say the hood is back on tomorrow & i expect him to continue his progression nicely.
3pts WIN @ 4/1 (william hill)
TEPMOKEA 2.00 DONCASTER
I couldnt let this fella pass today without giving him a mention.with his jockeys claim he races off a mark of 86 which should make him competitive but more importantly i think he'll get a very easy lead
today & could quite easily slip this field at a massive price.
0.5pts E/W @ 40/1 (widely available)
well after today our points balance sits at +17pts after deducting tomorrows stakes but hopefully i'll be back here tomorrow night with a smile on my face as i really fancy these two to be honest.
the only other race that really interests me tomorrow is the racing post trophy as aiden o'brien had something like six runners declared then supplemented one...and the only one that runs is the supplemented one!! hmmmm... take from that what you will folks but if it wins no doubt it will go into the winter as a very warm order at the head of the classic betting.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)
regards
