28/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well that brings to an end the best month i've had since i started blogging.todays nap was ultimatly disappointing but we finish the month on +89pts to advised bets :-) hopefully we can carry the form on into march...

2pts e/w RAKAAN 4.50 LINGFIELD (nap) 9/1 williamhill

Jamie Osbornes tough as teak gelding can land the spoils here tomorrow.he comes here on a winning mark & has been very consistent all winter although i think his last run when behind the Marco Botti trained lunar deity might well turn out to be his best given time as that performer is improving leaps & bounds at the minute.the stable in general are ticking over nicely & have had a few decent winners over the past fortnight & this also represents quite a drop in grade to be honest & he's taken to get the #teamchoochoo express back on track.

just the one selection tomorrow but i must admit i do really like this one.there are a couple of other things that i fancy over the sticks but after the last two NH selections have hit the deck i would air on a side of caution but they are..

SHUIL ROYALE 3.30 & BUFFALO BOB 4.35

our current stats for the year are...

JAN +12pts

FEB +89pts (+101)

(running total in brackets)

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope we've made some of you a nice profit this month.may i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting guys!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! here we again guys!! :-) todays NAP goes in advised at a tasty 8/1 last night to put us on a massive +93pts for the month & hopefully we can break the three figure profit barrier on the final day of the month tomorrow..

2pts e/w STEEL CITY BOY 4.50 SOUTHWELL (nap) 9/1 bet365

full write up & further selections will appear here tomorrow morning before 10am.

many thanks for following..

26/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well thats the last twice i've deviated off the a/w & both times they've ended up on the deck! :-( but like i said on sunday,if you don't jump, you don't win, simple as that.i've spent the afternoon concentrating on tomorrow evenings kempton card & hopefully have found a couple of decent priced winners..

2pt e/w SHALAMBAR 8.30 KEMPTON (nap) 8/1 bet365

Tony Carroll's veteran has two victories from four attempts over C&D and can make it number three tomorrow.he likes to race prominently here at kempton so the first time visor should help keep his mind on the job although he could of had a better draw i must admit.jim crowleys a master round here & should be able to manouvere him into a decent position turning for home ready to make his move entering the straight.

1pt e/w L'HIRONDELLE 7.00 KEMPTON (nb) 50/1 paddypower

mike attwaters gelding is a quirky thing but when he gets it right he's a decent tool on his day.he does seem to be an all or nothing type but this is the first time in his career that he's been dropped into the basement grade & after being tried over an inadequate trip on his last three runs to get his mark down he now finds himself 4lb below his last winning mark & more importantly is re-united with joe fanning who can get him back to winning ways.

apologies for not puttting a full write up on todays blog but to be honest the racing today has been absolutly dire & i really couldn't get excited about it at all if i'm honest.after a couple of quite days we still sit on a very healthy +75pts to our advised bets this month & hopefully we can end the month with a bang tomorrow.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! a n/r the best we could muster today i'm afraid, here are tomorrows selections...

full write up will appear here later...

24/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well it doesn't get much unluckier than today really, our nap at a massive 25/1 still in contention when crashing out at the final flight... but as they say,if you don't jump, you don't win, simple as that.we return to our favoured a/w racing tomorrow & hopefully today was just a blip as far as bad luck goes...

2pts e/w MR CHOCOLATE DROP 5.30 WOLVES (nap) 16/1 365

i'm going to put faith in the old stagers today & this veteran can get the ball rolling for #teamchoochoo. Russ Kenemore gets on particularly well with the gelding & after a couple of creditable runs to work the handicap mark down he comes here on his last winning mark over C&D.this certainly isn't the strongest race in depth by any stretch of the imagination & is a confident nap to get back to winning ways.

1pt e/w DIVINSKY 5.20 KEMPTON (nb) 16/1 bet365

enter veteran number two!! :-) and they don't get much older than this fella who amazingly makes his 226th racecourse start tomorrow.long in the tooth he maybe but he has guts & a zest for the game that some well bred younger horses could take note of. whilst he's not been in the best of form lately i think he could grab an easy lead here & if they give him enough rope... believe me he'll hang these out to dry!!!

it's very difficult to express my views by simply writing on here so from now on i'll try & list all the horses i'll be backing/laying on a particular day as best i can, theres three other horses that interest me tomorrow that i may be having an interest in & they are..

DREAM WIN 2.50 KEMPTON
DRESSED IN LACE 3.20 KEMPTON
CRIMSON QUEEN 2.30 WOLVES

all three look on decent marks & the top one in particular needs keeping an eye on as under the koos ownership banner basically it will win they want it to so the betting could be the best guide.

whilst today was a bitter pill to swallow we still sit on a very healthy +81pts to our advised bets this month so lets see if we can surge into a three figure profit tomorrow.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & if you like what i've written why not give me a R/T!?!? alternativly if you disagree let me know as i'm always open to some friendly banter!! :-) good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting guys!! :-)

23/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well the week ended with a whimper rather than a bang if i'm honest & my theory behind the nap failed to materialise which was a disappointment as the 3hrs of form study i spent on the race i'll not get back.surprisingly theres quite a few things that i fancy over the jumps tomorrow so with the lack of an a/w fixture we'll see if we can find a few tasty price jumpers..

2pts e/w SUN QUEST 4.50 FONTWELL (nap) 20/1 paddypower

1pt e/w MY VIKING BAY 2.50 TOWCESTER (nb) 12/1 bet365

1pt e/w PLUM PUDDING 3.15 FONTWELL 8/1 paddypower

1pt e/w EARCOMESTHEDREAM 4.00 TOWCESTER 8/1 bet365

i thought i would post my selections early so as not to miss the price, full write up will appear here shortly...

many thanks for following...

22/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well back down to earth with a bang today i'm afraid.. although the ride given to our nap has to be questioned considering he likes to race prominently from stall 3 he was never even put in the race at anytime & the moment the stalls opened it was game over to be honest & considering it was very heavily backed all day & then 10 minutes prior to the off it had almost doubled in price..i'll leave the conspiracy theorists with that one & i'm certainly not going to bemoan a bit of bad luck considering the week we've had.hopefully tomorrow can see a return to winning ways..

2pts e/w LE TOREADOR 4.50 LINGFIELD (nap) 12/1 pp

kevin ryans grand old campaigner has been campaigned in claimers on his last couple of runs but don't let that put you off for one minute.alot of claimers nowadays regularly have horses rated in the 80's running in them so it would be folly to turn your nose up at the form just because there C6 races as i can assure you there not competed in by C6 animals most of the time.this lads form is a prime example, the two horses that he finished behind where hamoody & drawnfromthepast, both 83 rated beasts.the problem is that once they get to a handicap mark in the mid 80's upwards there's just nowhere that they can go as very few are upto listed or group class & there to high for handicaps that they can be competitive in so unless they can pick up a little "conditions" race somewhere there shafted, its either drop into sellers/claimers or carry lumps of weight in handicaps waiting for there mark to fall which is pretty much whats happened to this fella.by running him in claimers they've kept him interested & theres nothing worse for a horses confidence than getting beaten miles time after time as they just lose interest & then its very hard to get them back again.after some shrewd placing he now finds himself 2lb below his previous winning mark & more importantly 3lb below his last C&D winning mark.now remember what i said about keeping horses interested well the ryan stable are past masters at it & little things can make all the difference as horses simply get used to things & when something changes it makes them think a bit.now you're going to have to stay with me now as this is where it gets complicated but i'll try & explain it the best i can.. on the 24/5/08 he was tried in a tongue strap for the first time & ran the best race of his career up to that point & then rattled of a quick hat-trick all with the tongue tie on.this was followed by three defeats but he wasn't disgraced by any means,at which point they dispensed with the strap,he then ran three very creditable races before finishing 12th of 13 at york, beaten 9l,probably the worse race of his career upto that point.so what do they do... reach for the strap & bang! in he goes!! he then gets used to the strap after a few runs again so they try the cheekpieces, one run in & bang! in he goes again!! he then had quiet a few runs with the cheekpiece & tongue strap combo then on 26/2/2011 they drop the strap again... and bang!! in he goes... are you seeing a pattern?? 3/6/2011 they try him in blinkers & to be fair it would of been a herculian effort to win a C3 off that mark but on his next run they ditch the blinds, reinstate the strap & pieces & stone the crows in he goes again!! :-)) he then gets used to the old combo like a pair of old slippers so on the 29/11/2011 they re-apply the blinkers & he runs a blinder just getting touched off by deerslayer who recently scored at belmont park after being sold to run in the states.then on the 27/12/2011 they dropped the tongue strap again...you guessed it,in he went!!! :-) after a couple of mediocre runs the strap was reapplied on the 29/6/2012 and.. well this is getting boring now but bang! in he goes again!! now since that run he's ran with the cheekpieces & tongue tie... until 22/2/2013 when they dropped the tongue tie.... and i'll let you know the outcome tomorrow!!! :))))))

1pt e/w HECTORS CHOICE 3.50 KEMPTON (nb) 40/1 stanjames

for some reason this lad has been completly overlooked in the betting & represents massive value in my opinion.he finished second here last year off a higher mark & gets a weight pull with nacarat & more importantly he's got 3 years on that rival who at the age of 12 must surely have run his best races.following that second last year he went to the festival but blundered his chance away then got back on track winning a G2 handicap off a pound lower than he goes off today.he then had some niggling problems throughout the latter part of last year & a recent spin over hurdles will have put him spot on for this & at massive odds is a strong e/w fancy.

a bit of a longwinded effort but i think its important to let people know the reasoning behind my selections & hopefully you all kept up & seen what i was getting at,basically when something changes it sparks this fella into life & hopefully the pattern will continue tomorrow.owing to the late finish at wolverhampton i have only managed to cover the lingfield card upto now but i will add my other selections in the morning before 10am.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!

21/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! after waiting all day & watching some pretty dismal racing our NAP was withdrawn.very disappointing but it can't be helped, but i did say we can only work with whats in front of us i'm afraid.maybe the powers that be decided to give the bookies a bit of respite today, who knows!!lol lets get onto tomorrow where there's some competitive,if low grade racing to get stuck into...

2pts e/w ATLANTIC BEACH 8.30 WOLVES (nap) 12/1 pp

milton bradleys veteran loves it here & ran an absolute blinder on his last visit when returning from a 250 day absence when beaten less than 2l behind the very progressive angelo poliziano off a 7lb higher mark than he goes off tomorrow & that was no surprise as that was also his last winning mark.he only blew up in the final furlong that day & i've been waiting for connections to return here as you may as well ignore his form round lingfield & southwell as he hates it there, this is his home ground & in his 4 runs over C&D in C6 company he's finished in 2-4-1-4.at double figure odds hes a confident nap to keep the #teamchoochoo express rolling!! :-)

1pt e/w TITAN TRIUMPH 2.30 LINGFIELD (nb) 7/1 wh

this lad is disgustingly well handicapped & with jim crowley booked (on top for its last 4 wins) the stable look like they mean business. last time out he was bang there only to get squeezed for room in the final furlong & wasn't unduly punished & a further 2lb drop in the weights can see him back in the winners enclosure.

i thought i would put the nap up as i didn't want to miss the price but there maybe upto 4 more selections tomorrow but i still have further research to do.i hope you've found my blog both interesting & informative & if you like what you've read why not give me a R/T!! :-) i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

20/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well the #teamchoochoo express is officially in overdrive guys!!! yet another double figure nap goes in this time @ 12's to give followers a massive +107pts to our advised bets this month.it wasn't going to be long before some lame tipping site that charges/cons people out of there hard earned cash came sniffing but followers will be pleased to hear that they where swiftly shown the door.anyone that pays for tips/information let me tell you this... there is absolutly nothing in the form book that you cannot read/find out for yourself without lining the pockets of these parasites, the only difference is how people interpret what they read, thats the key.if you have any back/lay fancies on a particular day i would be more than happy to discuss there chances with you completly free of charge & will happily give my views/time.i make more than enough money backing my selections so i have no need to charge & anyone that does charge for there service ask your self this... WHY? if there that good they wouldn't want to share the info as they could make more than enough money by backing them couldn't they?? maybe i see things differently to other people but these are my views,if you disagree & you charge for a service thats your choice, plain & simple,we live in a society of free speech & i'm simply expressing my right to this.onto tomorrow & hopefully we can continue the good work...

3pts win MAMBO SPIRIT 6.30 KEMPTON (nap) 4/1 paddypower

tony newcombes veteran has been tumbling down the weights & now looks primed & ready to take advantage.in all fairness connections couldn't have found a weaker race & personally i think this is his favourite track & trip so the fact he's been campaigned the last twice over 7f tells me this shrewd stable have been working his handicap mark down & in all all fairness the ploy looks to have paid off.against some very modest opposition he should land the spoils with the minimum of fuss.

2pts e/w MASTER MYLO 9.00 KEMPTON (nb) 9/1 paddypower

this is another whos been working his way down the handicap who i now think has arrived at the right track & trip.he was coming back from an 86 day break on his last run & that will have put him spot on for this & our good friend georgie baker is a big plus in the saddle once again.hes now a full 8lb below his last winning mark & hopefully he can land us a tasty double.

not the greatest quality of racing tomorrow if i'm honest but we can only work with what we're given im afraid & whilst im confident i wouldn't be playing to massive stakes if im honest.apologies for the late posting this evening but if you don't put the hours of research in you won't reep any rewards in my experience.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow... and i do hope a few of you take notice of my opening paragraph this evening...

19/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well the best we could muster today was a n/r i'm afraid so lets move swiftly on to tomorrow...

2pt e/w CATALINAS DIAMOND 2.30 L'FIELD (nap) 12/1 bet365

this tough mare has been knocking on the door recently & can finally let herself in.she's ran three blinders on her last three starts all over C&D and has bumped into a well handicapped sort on each occasion most recently when coming across the unexposed haggis beast polar venture.she did everything bar win on her third race back when getting chinned on the post by commanche (off this mark) and whilst the top horse here might be open to a little further improvement theres certainly nothing "lurking" that looks particularly well handicapped to me & at a decent price is a confident nap.

we now sit on a very healthy +77pts to our advised bets this month & hopefully many of you have followed.i haven't covered the evening card at kempton as yet but i will tweet any selections that i come across tomorrow morning at the latest.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you deceide for your money tomorrow & happy punting guys!!!! :-)

18/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! another winning nap this time at a massive s.p. of 20/1 means we're now on a monster +81pts to our advised bets this month & the #teamchoochoo express is now gathering speed at a rate of knots that the hogwartz express would have trouble keeping up with!!! lets steam into tomorrows selections...

2pts e/w KEY AMBITION 3.25 SOUTHWELL (nap) 10/1 ladbks

1pt e/w MATRAASH 5.10 SOUTHWELL (nb) 16/1 bet365

tomorrow sees the return of a/w racing at southwell & its proved a happy hunting ground for us so far this season so hopefully tomorrow can follow suit.gary moss' key ambition has gradually crept down the handicap & looks set to take the spoils here.he's not the biggest of animals & i think he struggles to carry big weights so i think he'll be far happier taking on better class animals recieving weight rather than giving weight to inferior animals.the track shouldn't pose any problems as he ran well when runner up on the track early last year & the booking of robert winston is a big plus. matraash was a fair tool in his days with mark johnston winning off a mark in the 80's not so long back but then struggled when sold to new connections over in ireland but thats hardly surprising as he was running off marks of 90+ over trips that where too far basically. now on a mark of 65 & with a run under his belt he looks primed & ready to go here for a stable that likes a punt.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & if you could give me a R/T that would be most appreciated & i hope you've found what you've read both interesting & informative.good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!

Evening sportsfans!! most unlucky with todays nap getting collared after the last & finishing a gallant second but that won't pay the bills unfortunatly, hopefully tomorrow can see a return to winning ways.

2pt e/w YANKEE STORM 3.15 WOLVES (nap) 16/1 ladbrokes

1pt e/w SCAMPERDALE 5.25 WOLVES (nb) 12/1 paddypower

1pt e/w MY BOY PADDY 3.40 CARLISLE 13/2 ladbrokes

full write up will be posted later this evening..

16/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well back down to earth with a thump is how you'd describe today i think, very disappointing & all told both horses didn't stay the trip, plain & simple as that & cue card which i thought would fold like a pack of cards runs on like the proverbial express train & even allowing for captain chris' blunder at the second last i think he would of  still won.the change of tactics back to making the running clearly suited him & he will be a force to reckon with come festival time i feel sure.onto tomorrows thoughts...

2pts win BUFFALO BOB 3.20 Ffos las (nap) 5/1bv

1.5pt e/w STAGECOACH PEARL 3.30 Market Rasen (nb) 12/1wh

both horses take a welcome drop in grade & look on workable marks now after running against better class animals recently.
i'm not going to go into detail as its saturday night & i'm sure you've get better things to do than read my drivel & after well over 100 hours form study this week i'm having an early quiet night.after the barnstorming week we've had we now sit on +50pts to advised bets this month & hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow.if you could re-tweet my blog it would be most appreciated as i am currently on a quest to find new followers & try & get to 4 figures!! i hope you all have a great weekend & best wishes with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting! :-)

15/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well it doesn't get much better than today does it really... first the NB goes in at an s.p. of 14/1 then the NAP obliged at a tasty 7/1 advised last night to round up an explosive blogging day.lets hope the run continues... :-)

5pts win SOMERSBY 3.50 ASCOT (nap) 5/1 betfred

mick channons gelding has a touch of class about him & can stamp his authority on this race tomorrow.he absolutley loves it here at ascot with his 4 course visits returning figures of... 3-2-2-1 and he's done all his winning on flat tracks so the fact he ran so well on his re-appearance at cheltenham (5 runs,0 wins) behind sprinter sacre is a credit to him & shows he retains all his ability from his days with henrietta knight.all his rivals have questions to answer with finnians rainbow returning after a wind operation & the collosus effort that captain chris put in in the king george could well have left its mark & he isn't the greatest of jumpers anyway.cue card was travelling well until they turned into the straight in the king george but fell in a hole & i cant help but feel if sprinter sacre wasn't around he'd be kept at the minimum trip of 2m & with ghizao certain to take them along at a good clip he could well be found wanting again in the closing stages.

1pt e/w IDARAH 2.40 ASCOT  (nb) 22/1 coral

venetia williams' stable continue in electric form & there last 25 runners have yielded 4 winners & 11 places.this lad has got to prove himself over this further trip but one of his best races was off this mark over 2m5f when running on into 3rd behind shoegazer in a listed handicap in september of last year & backed that up with a victory off a 2lb lower mark on soft going at kelso.if he's ever going to stay the trip then tomorrow should be the day as there is very little pace in the race so they may dordle along for the first half mile or so & the flat track should suit him perfectly.

well its hard to follow todays performance but we'll certainly have a go!! if you followed our advised stakes this month you would now be showing a massive +57pts profit & judging by my twitter feed this afternoon quite a few of you followed today!! :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

14/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well we certainly didn't cover ourselves in glory today after the euphoria of the last few days & whilst yesterday we where given a masterclass in front running by hayley turner today i dont think the jocks did us any favours & certainly the nap needs an eye keeping on it as i thought being drawn out wide the milkshake would drop in & pick her way through the field but in reality she was stuck 4 wide throughout with nothing left in the tank for the stretch run.we all make mistakes & i'm not going to bemoan a bit of bad luck after the run we've had.i'm going back to doing the blog in depth from this evening,i have still been doing the same in depth study but i recieved a bit of personal abuse on saturday so my heart wasn't really there for a couple of days but what really annoys me is that the people that where throwing there schneid remarks about probably backed the recent winners we've been having.99% of people on twitter seem decent honest folk but they'll always be that 1% & for the life of me i dont understand people that gain some kind of happiness in other peoples misfortune but there you go.onto tomorrow...

1.5pt e/w HEREFORD BOY 3.05 LINGFIELD (nap) 7/1 bet365

dean ivorys veteran has been an admirable servant to the stable & looks on a very tasty mark tomorrow.he's been a bit of a standing dish over the years here at lingfield & the stable turn to the a/w master adam kirby who's record round lingfield on this fella reads... 1-2-2-3 so you have to sit up & take notice when he's on top.there percievering with the cheekpieces tomorrow & from stall one he can pop out & make all under another kirby masterclass.

1pt e/w RICHARDS SUNDANCE 1.50 SANDOWN (nb) 8/1 pp

the vic dartnell team have taken a couple of runs to put themselves right after the shutdown but there firing on all cylinders now with a winner & 4 runners up spots from there last 10 runners & this lad can continue the recent upturn.he's down to a workable mark now & he could slip this field given an easy lead & will also benefit from being reunited with regular pilot andrew glassonbury.the underfoot conditions shouldn't pose any problems & he can complete a nice veterans double for us.

i've not covered the evening cards at wolverhampton or dundalk yet but i see anything i fancy i will tweet them in the morning.i hope you've enjoyed reading my blog again & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

here are tomorrows selections..

tomorrows selections are..

2pts e/w PATRIOTIC 4.30 WOLVES (NB) 8/1 ladbrokes

Evening sportsfans!! well theres two ways of looking at todays selections...the first is we got one placed e/w & one got chinned in the final 100yds... the second...and unfortunatly also true is that the two lays we put up both won & we never got a winner! there the bare facts but tomorrows another day...

2pts e/w GOLDEN CHIEFTAN 3.30 EXETER (nap)12/1 ladbrokes

wether you follow is your choice but i think the drop in trip & fitting of blinkers could spark him back into form on a very handy looking mark now.

we'll start with the fav silviniaco conti & i'll be taking him on tomorrow.the form of his haydock victory has been upheld by the runner up long run following up in the king george but he was race fit that day against rivals making there seasonal reappearance & the tables are slightly turned tomorrow with him coming here on the back of a 77 day break.his seasonal debut win was the first time he'd won after a 60 day break at the 4th attempt but the entire field where making there reappearances that day so the fact that the runners up spot was filled by a 142 rated 33/1 shot immediatly casts doubt over the strength of the form.the horse i'm siding with is the philip hobbs trained MENORAH.he was a high class hurdler finishing 5th in the 2011 champion but i think the step up to 3m will be the making of him.he hasn't been the best of jumpers so far but this steadier pace can help him settle into a rythmn & the newbury fences aren't the most testing in the NH arena & he has already claimed the scalp of silvianaco conti, all be it over the smaller obstacles & he can lay it up to the favourite tomorrow.

ADVISED BETS:

BACK: 3pts e/w MENORAH @ 8/1 ladbrokes

LAY: silviniaco conti

3.00 NEWBURY betfair super saturday chase 2m1f G2

again we'll kick off with the favourite & i think it will be just that for backers..wishful thinking!! firstly i think the trip is far to sharp for him these days & whilst he did win a mickey mouse race over 2m on his penultimate start if you have a look at the horses ratings that he was running against that day i think that says it all.all his best forms been over further & he's far from a natural jumper of the larger obstacles & his BHA rating of 162 surely flatters him.at the age of 10 old father time could just be catching up with him & he has to give weight to some very useful rivals, one of whom is my strong fancy & thats FRENCH OPERA.the nicky henderson runner is quite the opposite to the hobbs runner in which the drop back in trip is exactly whats required in my opinion.he made his seasonal bow over christmas which should have blown the cobwebs away & the drop in trip & better ground should see him to maximum effect here tomorrow.when you look down his form it reads like the "who's who" of national hunt racing including sizing europe, master minded, sprinter sacre & sanctuaire to name a few.he's had 3 runs over C&D and they've resulted in a win & 2 runners up spots so he clearly loves the berkshire track & is a strong fancy tomorrow.

ADVISED BETS:

BACK: 4pts win FRENCH OPERA @ 4/1 ladbrokes

LAY: wishful thinking

hopefully super saturday can live up to its billing & give us some quality racing & more importantly give us some much needed clues regarding the upcoming cheltenham festival.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!

Evening sportsfans!! well i thought we'd cracked it today nailing the best price possible but the same story followed, backed from double figures into near favouritism & a very poor show.if you have a look at my timeline you'll see i had 3 fancies today & sods law,the other 2 win & the selection i blogged is unplaced (please see twitpics on my twitter feed).in order to stop the rot drastic measures have been taken so i've decided to blog all 4 of my fancies tomorrow.at the minute im currently ensconced in the tatts online sale so i'll put the selections up now & write up my reasoning later on this evening.

2pts e/w TRANSACT 4.10 NEWCASTLE (nap) 10/1 bet365

1pt e/w VALLANI 1.20 NEWCASTLE (nb) 14/1 bet365

1pt e/w TAKEROC 2.15 KEMPTON 10/1 ladbrokes

0.5pt e/w VICTORY GUNNER 3.10 BANGOR 25/1 bet365

i have put the selections up now so as not to miss the tasty prices & i'll do the write up later on this evening.

Evening sportsfans!! dear lord if we get any worse retirement beckons i think!! joking apart both selections where well backed but ran very poorly in truth.we soldier on in the quest for winners & hopefully tomorrow can spring us into action..

1.5pt e/w BABY SHINE 3.45 HUNTINGDON (nap) 12/1 willhill

now i napped this one when she made her seasonal reappearance when running very flat in a listed contest at wetherby but the lucy wadham stable was under somewhat of a cloud at the time & are in far better shape now.that run was over 2m & last time she was stepped up to 3m & i'm happy to write that run off as she was going well until clearly running out of stamina in the later part of the race.she goes well fresh so the 73 day absence isn't a concern & more importantly drops back in trip to 2m4f & combine that with a welcome drop in grade & i'm confident she can get us back to winning ways.

just the one selection tomorrow but i must admit a very confident one & hopefully she can get us back to winning ways.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! well a complete whitewash today, not even a place! :-( i'm not one for making excuses but until the surface settles down i'll be giving southwell a wide berth for a week or so. hopefully after 2/3 meetings it will have bedded down & i'm happy to take a watching brief until then as it looked to be very deep there to me today & there where some tired horses crossing the line.i'm switching codes to the NH scene tomorrow & hopefully it can bring us a change in fortune...

2pts e/w COOTEHILL 3.50 LUDLOW (nap) 7/1 ladbrokes

nigel twiston-davies' gelding loves it round here & arrives on his last winning mark over C&D.he's as tough as teak & has either won or been placed in 50% of his 40 lifetime starts & whilst he's not set the world alight so far this season a return to his beloved ludlow should see him return to the winners enclosure.

2pts e/w CORRIN WOOD 4.05 CARLISLE (nb) 7/1 bet365

whilst he was turned over last time out @ 1/4 i think in time the form might turn out to be half decent.his form behind the david pipe trained gevrey chambertin can't be underestimated as that horse now finds himself rated 145 after following up that narrow success with a bloodless victory next time out when stepped up in grade.this is only the sixth start of his career & there could well be some more improvement in him stepping up in trip.

well after the disaster of today i think we need to steady the ship a bit so i've gone for what i feel have solid e/w chances.we currently sit on -10pts for the month to our advised stakes so hopefully tomorrow can blast us into profit & start us off on a decent run.i hope you've found my blog both interesting & informative & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

4/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! yet again another blank but the NB netted us some nice place money @ 16's to give us some respite but winners are what we crave & need so here's tomorrows thoughts..

2pts win ACE OF SPIES 2.10 SOUTHWELL 4/1 bet365 (nap)

for alot of these horses running today its like being a premiership side but having to play all your games away from home recently with the closure of the midlands track but make no mistake this lad loves it here & after some uninspiring runs round lingfield (where he hates) lately he comes here on his last winning mark and with a cracking draw in the one box he can make all & make a welcome return to the winners enclosure.

1pt e/w GENERAL TUFTO 1.40 SOUTHWELL 7/1 bet365 (nb)

normally i wouldn't get involved in these amateur events but with top lady rider serina brotherton booked you have to sit up & take notice.when you talk about course specialists theres not many that can match this fella who has no lesss than 10 wins at the nottinghamshire venue & hopefully serina can guide him to victory number 11.

0.5pt e/w MAZIJ 4.40 SOUTHWELL 16/1 willhill

now i know we have to take a bit of a leap of faith with this fella but he's now 7lb below his last winning mark & is reunited with william carson who seems to get on particularly well with him & i can see him leading these a merry dance.

0.5pt e/w BANDSTAND 3.40 SOUTHWELL 10/1 bet365

he's another one that comes here on a winning mark & with the going on the slow side it should suit this fella down to the ground & he can pick them off down the straight.

maybe you could look at doing an e/w lucky 15,just a suggestion!! ;-) thankfully southwell have managed to get racing back under way tomorrow & it cant come soon enough to be honest as the nottinghamshire track is a very good hunting ground over the winter months whilst we await the start of the flat.don't get me wrong i love the big jumps festivals but my passion is on the flat, lush green surfaces & quality racing at the likes of royal ascot & goodwood really does put a spring in your step!! :))) hopefully we can nail a few tomorrow & get some funds for the onslaught that is known as the cheltenham festival!! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

3/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! for a split second today i thought we had found a gem only for it to weaken & finish just out the places although our NB did manage to sneak a place to land us a little place money.all irrelavent really as its winners that we want & hopefully i've found us some value tomorrow...

1pt e/w SMALLJOHN 4.25 WOLVES (nap) 12/1 pp

i wouldn't say i got to this selection by way of default but forecast favourite frontier fighter beat absolutly nothing last time out,the horse in second has come out & been beaten 6l off a mark of 64 & the third, whilst he has won a race since, got beaten off 49 next time out.both his races have been over 1m so far & the drop back in trip is a wonder as being by invincible spirit & how he shaped last time i would of been looking to step up not down.which brings us to the botti horse, haftohaf.now he has close form lines with our selection as he was beaten half a length giving toga tiger 6lbs last time out & our lad was beaten a length by him on his penultimate start giving him 5lbs.however they have put willie twistin-bastard on top & his 5lb claim can prove vital & tip the balance in our favour as our form with toga tiger was over C&D & haftohafs form was over a furlong further & at kempton,a race in which he was staying on in rather than showing blistering pace which again makes me wonder about the drop in trip.add into the mix that our lad is back on a winning mark & is a course specialist with 7 course victories & 4 places on his c.v. he has to be the value in the race for me.

0.5pt e/w FANTASY FIGHTER 3.20 WOLVES (nb) 16/1 pp

basically hes an old rogue who puts it in when it suits him but he does like coming off a strong gallop which is absolutly nailed on tomorrow & i think alot of these could cut each others throats at the head of affairs.hes got form lines to beat the majority of this field one way or another but the real eyecatcher has to be luke morris doing 8-7?? this will only be his 5th start for ron harris & hes got gradually closer each time so i've got in the back of my mind a bit of a plot appearing to materialise here.

well a pretty lifeless start to the month if we're brutally honest although this past week or so we have clouted the woodwork on numerous occasions which in a way at least i know i'm pretty near the mark,if not quite nailing it!! :-( we just need to start a nice little run going to take us nicely into the NH festivals of cheltenham & aintree as after all, cheltenham is next month!! #whoop.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :)))

2/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! another blank day today on the blog i'm afraid & we need to stem the tide a bit rapid so lets see if tomorrow can bring us some much needed luck...

1pt e/w PENBRYN 2.40 LINGFIELD (nap) 16/1 bet365

the nick littmoden stable have been playing around with this fella, plain & simple.trying him over different trips, different tactics, inexperienced jockeys, you name it & they've done everything within the "rules" to do it & fair play its worked!! he now comes here a pound lower than his last winning mark over C&D back in april & the handbrake will be let off now & if i'm right he'll also be well backed to.

1pt e/w PUSH ME 4.10 LINGFIELD (nb) 9/1 bet365

jamie poultons mare is another that has dropped to a tasty a/w mark
during a spell on turf and shaped with bags of promise last time out on her return to the polytrack surface when only beaten a couple of lengths after tiring in the final half furlong.shes now back on her last winning mark but that was with a 3lb claimer on board so the fact that the stable have booked the talented 7lb claimer robert tart tells me they mean business again & it wouldn't surprise me to see this one backed either.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! ::))))

1/2/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well the new month certainly didn't get off to a flyer with the nap bitterly disappointing & i must admit i expected much better but tomorrows a new day & a saturday to boot so lets get stuck into it...

1pt e/w MAD MAX 3.00 SANDOWN (nap) 7/1 skybet

this former nicky henderson inmate is reunited with barry geraghty tomorrow who has had three wins from his five mounts aboard the 11-y-o so clearly knows how to get the best out of him but whilst he is eleven he does have very few miles on the clock having had just 17 career starts.he's obviously had his troubles over the years but when you have a look at the horses he's finished behind they include the likes of master minded (twice),sizing europe (twice),for non stop & most recently probably one of the most improving young chasers in training in williams wishes which gives you some idea of the tasks that he faced during his career so off his lowest career handicap mark & against the lowest grade he's faced he must be a nap.my one worry is that he's done all his winning on the flat tracks of newbury, ascot, kempton & aintree so the sandown hill might pose a problem as he's had five tries at getting up cheltenhams hill only to fail at each attempt & as we all know the sandown hill takes no prisoners but the cheltenham races where top class affairs so i might be reading to much into but i'll let you know tomorrow evening!! ;-)

1pt win HOUBLON DES OBEAUX 2.25 SAN (NB) 9/2 ladbrokes

now you may think me slightly mad for opposing the nicky henderson superstar captain conan but he steps up half a mile in trip & on sticky ground i can see him treading water up the sandown hill  as they are sure to go a decent clip with the twiston-davies horse looking like a thorough stayer he's going to be pouring it on from the outset in order to find any chinks in the henderson horses stamina & i think this lad can stalk his prey & pounce late on.last time out he was beaten by court in motion (strong form with the leading staying novice this season dynaste) & prior to that he was 4th behind harry topper.both those runs were at 3m & i think he'll relish this drop back to 20f but the final piece in the jigsaw for me is that in 2nd that day, less than 3l in front, was a horse called benefficient, who slammed captain conan 15l this time last year.now that was over hurdles & yes i know he's improved for fences etc. etc. blah blah blah but odds on?? not a chance & whilst the backers keep coming i'll keep laying!!! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both interesting & informative & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)
