Evening sportsfans!! well this is simple, winners are needed!! another disappointing day i have to be honest as i really fancied the NAP today but as regular readers know all to well... when the vipers cornered... HE STRIKES!!! :-)

1pt e/w MIAS BOY 2.55 WOLVES (nap) 11/1 william hill

when times are tough it's always good to turn to an old friend & thats what we'll do here.george baker rode us a couple of tasty winners last month & hopefully he'll get us on the scoresheet tomorrow.this lads been a model of concistency this term culminating last time out behind the improving solar deity & luckily the handicapper has left him alone as he's still 4lb below his last a/w winning mark & his record round here reads..1-2-2-4-1-3-4.

0.5pt e/w MONSIEUR CHEVALIER 2.20 WOLVES 16/1 bet365

now we are taking a bit of a punt here but i've been watching this one for a while now & he's got some serious back class to be honest.he won no less than six out of his ten starts as a juvenile when under the care of richard hannon culminating in a group 3 success in the molecomb stakes at glorious goodwood.thats serious form whichever way you look at it & his last two runs have been particularly eye catching for contrasting reasons,on his penultimate start he was trying to give solar deity 9lbs & was beaten 3l under what can only be described as a "tender" ride to say the least under a very weak apprentice then last time he was trying to give the same horse 6lbs & after completly making a mess of the start throwing away a good 10 lengths was finally beaten 4 lengths. tomorrow they go off levels & more importantly he drops a furlong which i think could be crucial as he was a proper little speedball as a juvenile.he's also still an entire which is strange in an older horse & i can't help but think that he's been showing a bit at home in order for them to keep perservering & this certainly isn't the strongest listed race that will ever be run to be fair.

well we certainly haven't had the greatest start to the month of march & hopefully the tide will turn tomorrow in time for the cheltenham festival.only four more sleeps until the tapes go up & i must admit i'm really looking forward to it this year.the one thing that i hope is that we get decent ground as so many good horses have spent this season stood in there boxes due to the going & at championship level a good clean fight on a level playing field is all that i ask for.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

regards
ian
