Evening sportsfans!! its taken me a while but this is my first post of the new year so i hope you all had a happy xmas & merry new year! if i'm honest i've been a bit lazy blog wise but i plan to go back to doing the blog daily now. tomorrow also sees the start of a new venture that i am involved with & you can read a bit more about it below tomorrows selections.

another jockey whos well worth his claim is this lad george buckell & the 7lb is massive here. he was only stopped in his tracks last time by the progressive run it twice & he looks the best treated in what isn't a strong race to be honest.

hasn't done alot for the past 6 months but he was to high in the handicap, simple as that. alot of these horses have a level that they perform at & thats as good as they are & this lad falls into that category. now hes slipped a pound below his last winning mark (has decent placed C&D form to his name off higher marks) he should be more than able to get competitive here.

tomorrow sees the start of a new venture between myself & @anon_gambler. as many of you know i have my own private handicap & this will be combined with speed figures provided by jay to produce a/w ratings on a daily basis. it is aimed at people that take there punting seriously & are looking for another angle to give them an edge. speed figures are essential to any punter in my opinion & i can assure you that this guys are top drawer. there are many angles to look at when analyzing a race & whilst winners are what we all crave when the figures tell you a fav is vulnerable in this day & age the punter can explore every angle & profit accordingly. three things that are gauranteed in this life are that men lie.. women lie.. but figures dont!!! ;-)
jay specializes in maidens & my forte is handicaps so the coming together seemed a natural progression & with the combination of the handicapping & speed figures it is certainly something to look forward to!!
