16/5/2013

Evening sportsfans!! not a bad effort today with the NB running a gallant race in second at a tasty 25/1 to cover our stakes but again we where just slightly off the mark to be honest, hopefully tomorrow will see us back amongst the winners..

2pts e/w BARREN BROOK 4.25 york (nap) 18/1 bet victor

he now has the look of a very well handicapped horse to me & his length second behind voodoo prince last august is arguably the best piece of form on offer here. hes twice been placed here off marks alot higher & the o'meara runner apart this isn't the strongest race in depth at all to be honest.

2pts e/w EASY TERMS 2.15 york (nb) 8/1 skybet

this horse was on a serious upward curve last summer & he can regain the winning thread here. the handicappers been kind to him & dropped him a couple of pounds since his last run & hes now just 2lb above where his winning spree came to an end over C&D and my theory is that this lad thrives on his racing & he may have just taken a couple of runs to get him back in the mood.

1pt e/w ESTEAMING 5.00 york 12/1 paddy power

David barrons sir percy gelding will relish this step up in trip & looks on a handy mark. he was touched off by rhombus towards the back end of last season but gets a 4lb pull here for half a length & the extra distance will bring out further improvement.

0.5pt e/w trixie

what a feast of racing we have tomorrow, alongside the dante meeting at york theres solid cards at both newbury & newmarket to back it up. the yorkshire cup looks at the mercy of cavalryman to me & he can be a welcome winner to the demoralised godolphin camp on a card packed full of quality. the two fillies pattern races aren't really my bag so i wont be putting up a selection but a watching brief is advised with a view to the rest of the season on both races to be honest. many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

regards
ian
