Evening sportsfans!! a bit of a head scratcher today if i'm honest & we're just not getting the rub of the green at the minute. i'm not one for excuses so its a case of wipe our mouths..and move on... simple as that..

the step up to 12f is perfect for this son of montjeu now he takes on his elders for the first time & that massive weight for age allowance can do us a favour once again. the horse he beat last time out has since come out & won off a mark of 83 (easily) and the horse over 7l back in 4th pasaka boy has also come out & won off a mark of 84 giving the form a rock solid look about it. we know he goes on the track when he handled it fine when winning his maiden here in a race that has thrown up five winners from six runners. the further he goes the better he'll be & he'll gallop these into submission here.

right then it doesn't take much to disect this race as brown panther wants an extra mile & grandeur has had three runs with cut in the ground resulting in three defeats but back on his favoured surface this lad looks rock solid here on his first start for the botti camp. i'm not convinced that he didn't stay the 12f trip last time out & i have a theory it may well have been the ground that undone him although it was no disgrace as it was a G1 contest. on his penultimate start in the sandown classic trial he had the likes of eye of the storm (pattern race winner since) galileo rock (since placed in three classics) and libertarian (G2 winner since & placed in the derby) behind him & he brings top level 3yo group form into this listed contest & he'll have far to much ammunition for these on this ground.
