Evening sportsfans!! i'm sure you've all got far better things to be doing than reading my thoughts on the last three hours form study on a saturday evening so i'll keep it short & sweet!!lol

2pts e/w BREAKING THE BANK 3.00 salisbury (nap) 8/1 ldbrks.

this race has the lay of the day in standpoint running & whilst our selection did only win a claimer last time he did beat some higher rated rivals well & the favourite will find this trip way to short in my opinion & i'm happy to take him on here.

1pt e/w TAURUS TWINS 3.30 salisbury (nb) 17/2 bet victor

the first time visor can work the oracle here & the booking of tom queally is significant as hes ridden him five times.. resulting in two wins & a runners up spot from five rides & it seems hes the man the stable turn to when the moneys down.

1pt e/w KANGAROO COURT 4.05 salisbury 16/1 ladbrokes

Emma Lavelles veteran comes here on a winning  mark & he could well get an easy lead here. i had it between this one & sula two and at a big price could well be worth a saver.

0.5pt e/w trixie

i've only covered the salisbury card upto now but with only the two uk meetings tomorrow i should have time to blog my windsor selections in the morning.

many thanks for following..

Evening sportsfans!! a blank on the blogged selections today but as i've always said at this time of year the best thing i can tell you to do is keep an eye on my timeline as i try & tweet my selections as the day goes..and the old boy TAX FREE went in at a tasty 14/1 early price for followers!! hopefully tomorrow we can blog a couple of winners...

2pt e/w MEMORY CLOTH 3.50 newcastle (nap) 10/1 betfred

its not rocket science as he won last years race, a stronger renewal, off a 9lb higher mark last year & every drop of rain that falls makes him move closer to being a maximum bet for me.

1pt e/w CRACKENTORP 3.15 newcastle (nb) 33/1 bet365

last years runner up has followed the exact same route as last year but the stables carefully laid plans took a nosedive in the ladies race at york when the ground turned up on the quick side. with underfoot conditions now in his favour he looks massive value.

many thanks for following & i will try & add further selections & lays in the morning, time permitting.

Evening sportsfans!! i didn't have time to blog today unfortunatly but those that follow on twitter will know we had a blinder!! the nap went in @ 12/1 advised followed by winners @ 9/2 & 8/1!! a glorious day that was then capped off with another two winners this evening in our advised lucky 15 to give followers bulging pockets & very full wheelbarrows!! ;-)

2pts e/w CRIMSON KNOT 3.45 musselburgh (nap) 7/1 p.p.

1pt e/w HAIL PROMENADER 2.50 yarmouth (nb) 7/1 bet365

Evening sportsfans!! well the least said about today the better to be honest.. but the one thing i love about this game is tomorrows always another day!! :-)

2pts e/w HOT ROD MAMMA 3.30 carlisle (nap) 8/1 bet365

although its a while since she won her last two runs have seen her right back to her best & she has now dropped a full 9lb below her last winning mark. this is also arguably her best trip & shes a confident nap tomorrow.

1pt e/w SCRAPPER SMITH 5.05 carlisle (nb) 9/1 betfred

this is a serious drop in grade for this fella after contesting races like the november handicap on his last few starts. this is however his last winning handicap mark & his fourth behind mijhaar in a listed race at hamilton last time out is by far the best form on offer here.

0.5pt e/w double

Evening sportsfans!! not alot to get excited about today to be honest & hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow..

2pts e/w GALA CASINO STAR 4.00 beverley (nap) 11/1 bet365

this lad has been running back into form recently & all his wins have come over the summer months so clearly likes the sun on his back. he rattled up a hat-trick last summer & now hes landed back on his last winning mark of those victories he can get back to winning ways.

1pt e/w LAST DESTINATION 3.00 beverley (nb) 8/1 paddy power

the draw will put paid to half the fields chances here & with a decent slot nigel tinklers gelding can get his head in front where it counts. hopefully the horse in the one box can get out sharply & this lad can get a decent tow into the race & pounce late on.

0.5pt e/w double

23/6/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well a fabulous day was marred with the tragic death of our nap thomas chippendale.after crossing the line in front & landing the odds he sadly suffered a heart attack & another warrior is lost i'm afraid.. i certainly raised a glass to him last night i know that much & all i can hope is that he din't suffer to much.. onto tomorrow...

2pts e/w TATTING 4.45 wolves (nap) 10/1 bet365

this lad falls onto his last winning mark here over C&D and can get back to winning ways tomorrow. he has a win & a place on his c.v. from his last two visits over C&D and now the handicappers played ball everything seems set fair for a big run here.

1pt e/w CHAMBLES 5.15 wolves (nb) 12/1 bet365

not only is this horse very well treated on tomorrows terms as he gets a handy 7lb taken off his back by the very capable gemma tutty but if you look at his last victory on 18/6/2012 over this C&D he was having his first run for a new trainer that day after an 89 day absence..tomorrow he has his first start for a new trainer but this time after a 97 day absence.. and off a 7lb lower mark less young gemmas claim..now you see what i mean about well treated! wether my theory stands up or not i dont know but connections are very shrewd & any money for this one should be noted.

1pt e/w SPINNING RIDGE 5.45 wolves 14/1 bet365

whilst he has been campaigned in claimers & sellers recently he is on his last winning a/w mark & his record over C&D in C6 handicap races reads 2-3-2-2-5-3-2 so clearly enjoys it round the west midlands venue.

0.5pt e/w trixie

with doubts over the weather forecasts i have decided to stick to the polytrack tomorrow for those purists that dont agree with a/w racing during the summer. i think it serves a purpose & does a sterling service to racing during the winter & summer months alike to be honest & it certainly eradicates any fears about the going i know that much!! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

21/6/2013

Evening sportsfans!! another decent day with both our lays landing the money.. the back selections leaved something to desire though to be fair & hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow..

2pts e/w THOMAS CHIPPENDALE 3.05 ascot (nap) 14/1 skybet

the front two in the market both take a step up in class here & the forecast favourite mount athos will be one i'll be looking to lay tomorrow as i think he wants further than this trip nowadays. the two in the field with Group 2 winning form in the book are the top horse & this lad but i think the gosden runner wants a softer surface & will do well to take this on his seasonal bow. lady cecils colt won last years King Edward VII stakes beating noble mission however frankels full brother has only beaten five opponents home when there has been firm in the going title & his resolution has to be questioned to be honest but the final factor for me is the booking of johnny murtagh for the first time since last years royal meeting & the irishman is riding at the top of his game at the minute and he can bring him home in front.

1pt e/w CARAVAN ROLLS ON 5.00 ascot (nb) 8/1 skybet

i think i might of lost my senses here backing a peter chapple-hatpegs runner with frank spencer on board but he had absolutly no luck in running on his penultimate start when half a length behind the smart sir graham wade & his two length defeat behind tiger cliff when trying to give him 5lb on his seasonal bow reads very well in what now is starting to look like quite a hot race & we'll take a chance that his inept connections don't hamper his chances to much.

0.5pt e/w MORACHE MUSIC 4.25 ascot 33/1 bet365

last years fourth re-opposes off a 2lb lower mark & with a cracking draw he can get right in the mix here. i really think you can put a line through the low drawn numbers if todays anything to go by as all the pace was on the stands side & expect much of the same tomorrow.

e/w trixie (2pts total)

there will be a blog update at 10am tomorrow morning with a full list of tomorrows lays on.

many thanks for following..

20/6/2013

Evening sportsfans!! nap placed @ 9/1 & nb a n/r sums today up giving us a very marginal profit on the day. lets hope tomorrow can see us back in the winners enclosure...

3.05 Royal Ascot 1m 4f Group 2 King Edward VII stakes

we're going head to head with favourite backers here & taking on the favourite battle of marengo. i'm not so sure he really wants to go this far & whilst he stayed on quite well in the derby he did get first run on alot of rivals there. this faster ground also has to be a concern as hes never raced on a surface this quick in his life & mars and chopin have come out & not exactly set the world alight to advertise the form & both of those horses where on his coat tails at epsom, what the derby form amounts to is still debatable & the fact the winner has been given the lowest BHA rating by a derby winner might give you a rough idea. now onto what beats it.. the one that i think has a real live chance to turn him over is ed dunlops contributor. hes been brought along nicely by his trainer & whilst he was beaten in a two horse race last time out the one that beat him is no mug & favourite for the queens vase later on the card. prior to that he was behind magician at chester & whilst he didnt do much at this meeting you can pretty much put a line through that form as he was stuck out wide with no cover & tugged his chance away but judged on his irish 2000 guineas romp the form looks top notch. battle of marengo had a very hard race in the derby & the race will surely have left its scars & this race will come plenty quick enough for him. the big clincher for me though is the trip as hes by derby winner high chaparral whos offspring excel over a mile & a half and with normal improvement he should serve it right up to the irish raider tomorrow. if your happy to back a horse  @ odds on that has never won over the trip or on the surface then i'll be happy to take your bets all day long!! :-)

LAY: battle of marengo

BACK: contributer e/w @ 14/1 skybet

3.45 Royal Ascot 1m Group 1 Coronation stakes

again i'll be taking on the favourite here as i can't have it from its draw if this weeks anything to go by. that premis also applies to the second favourite sky lantern as shes drawn in no mans land as well. the one i like is the irish filly at the bottom viztoria. on breeding i'm amazed shes had the pace to even compete never mind win races over shorter trips & the further she goes the better she should get being by oratorio out of a darshaan mare. hopefully the forecast rain arrives but i still think shes in with a shout on top of the ground to be honest & looks great value to me.

LAY: just the judge

Evening sportsfans!! well the #teamchoochoo express moved into overdrive today on the second day of the royal meeting nailing two winners & then after getting knocked over by the weight of money for camelot we walked away with win & place money in the bank to cap a fantastic day for followers!! tomorrow theres not any short priced things that we can take on so i have two back selections..

2pts e/w ELIK 3.05 ascot (nap) 9/1 paddy power

it's not easily i go against our oaks selection the lark who ran a blinder for us that day at massive odds but she had a hard race that day & this will come plenty quick enough for her i think. onto our selection & this is the trip that she was bred for being by the aga khans stallion dalakhani out of a daughter of tiger hill. stamina stamina stamina is what shes about so anything shes done upto now is a bonus to be fair. she was only beaten half a length by woodland aria three runs back & she avertised the form today running a blinder in the sandringham. whilst it wasn't the strongest race she won last time she did show a very willing attitude & done it well which is all you can ask of a horse at this stage of her career in my opinion.

1pt e/w BIOGRAPHER 3.45 ascot (nb) 18/1 coral

if carlsberg made stayers then this lad would probably be it! i have followed this horse since his debut & i think its time to come of age tomorrow. he'll love every yard of this trip & will be powering down that ascot straight when the opposition have cried enough & i dont even think the handicap of being durcanised by the jockey can stop him here! he warmed up for this running a very promising fourth in handicap company giving lumps of weight to tiger cliff (second here yesterday under a very dubious ride from tom queally)
and de rigeur who has also come out & won since. that will have put him spot on for this & i think hes a horse that will rule these cup races for a few years.

0.5pt e/w double

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & hopefully its made some of you a few quid as well! best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! well not to bad today & we where only a nose away from a full house of lays but after filling the satchel with animal kingdom & shea shea backers money to payout @ 2.4 really wasn't the end of the world & it turned out a very profitable day all told. this is the beauty when your laying short priced favourites.. the facts tell you they wont all win & as long as i got one of the shorties beat i was going to be in profit & i'll take that over trying to get them all to win to make a profit any day of the week to be honest! lets see if we can press home the advantage after day one of the royal meeting..

2.30 ascot 7f G3 Jersey stakes

both the front two in the market have doubts in this for me.. gale force ten has arguably the best form coming into this on the back of his second to magician in the irish 2000 guineas but i think this 7f trip will be plenty sharp enough for him at this level & garswood has to bounce back after bombing out in the english version although the return to 7f should benefit him greatly though the free handicap he won on his penultimate start looks a weak renewal. if the heavens open i could be tempted to have a few shillings e/w on the godolphin horse tawhid, on a line through the hannon horse alhebayeb hes closely matched with garswood but hes had two runs on a decent surface & bombed out both times although his third last time out in the german 2000 guineas may well turn out to be semi decent form but we're going to go for a bit of value in the charlie hills trained ajraam i think. he beat the progressive henrytheaviator last time out conceding lumps of weight & that ones gone on to give the form a solid look. now i know the step up from handicap company to pattern race company is a big one.. huge in fact but they all have to start somewhere & after two runs & two wins on quick ground he'll relish tomorrows going but i will say keep an eye on the weather as he wont want much rain i dont think.

BACK: 1pt e/w AJRAAM 25/1 bet365

3.05 ascot 1m G2 Duke of Cambridge stakes

this is a straight shoot out between the top three in the market to be honest & if you ran the race three times you would probably get three different results but i think the irish raider duntle brings genuine group one form to the table and after only seven starts could well still be open to more improvement. we'll take last years sandringham winner to maintain her 100% record at the track.

BACK: 2pts win DUNTLE 11/4 william hill

3.45 ascot 1m 2f G1 Prince of Wales stakes

LAY CAMELOT

well thats pretty much that race sorted.. you either believe the hype or you don't.. personally i dont & never have, he won three very sub standard classics & the fact that that hound born to sea got so close to him last year tells you all you need to know really. i have him down as a 112 rated performer on my ratings & i think i might be being genorous after the way al kazeem put him to the sword at the curragh last time out & aiden o'briens comment that he "got a bit tired" tells me you wern't doing your job properly then pal as he should of been spot on after a prep run. when he gets beat tomorrow no doubt he'll have some excuse waiting.. maybe he might have toothache tomorrow as the excuses are starting to wear very thin. personally i think once they realise he hasnt got the speed for 10f & switch him back to 12f, which his breeding suggests will suit him far more, maybe they might be able to pick up a small claimer or seller with him!lol only joking you camelot fans calm dowm!!! if the fugue turns up on her A-game she could well get involved but she has an absence to overcome & had a hard race at the breeders cup on her last start. the top horse i really like & at massive odds could well out run his odds if the ground stays quick but again we're yet to see him this term so boring as it maybe the fav looks the only real option to be honest.

LAY: spamelot

BACK: 2pts win AL KAZEEM 5/2 paddy power

4.25 ascot 1m Heritage Handicap Royal Hunt Cup

i'm going nap in this race on last years winner prince of johanne. hes now dropped to the same mark as last years win & the ground will be right up his street as well. he ran a cracking trial for this running second in a listed handicap behind navajo chief last time & a small weight pull should see him get past that rival tomorrow. the one i really do fear is last years fourth field of dream as you have to take note when adam kirby does 8-12 but prince of johanne is a pound better off for beating him a couple of lengths & should confirm the form.

BACK: 2pts e/w PRINCE OF JOHANNE (nap) 14/1 coral

i think i'll also throw the four in a lucky 15 & see if we can get a decent return going.

many thanks for following, your support is appreciated.. :-)

Evening sportsfans!! the greatest show on turf rolls into town tomorrow.. and the rules are simple.. GO HARD OR GO HOME! there is only one royal ascot..plain & simple.. i have chosen to preview the group races on the card so here goes..

2.30 ascot 1m Group 1 Queen Anne stakes

right then short priced backers..its time to lock horns & battle to the death!! animal kingdom certainly splits opinion & firstly i'll start with the facts..two runs over a mile..two defeats.. four runs on fast ground.. three defeats.. all his form is over 10f & the dubai world cup was hardly a classic..planteur in third struggled to beat van der neer at lingfield & red cadeaux.. well lets put it this way.. would you back red cadeaux at odds on to get within 2l of the winner of tomorrows race?? only if your a complete fool maybe. the breeders cup is the key race for me as excelebration was a very unlucky fourth around a length behind animal kingdom & with a clear run would have beaten him i think & that was on his home ground. the gosden filly was less than 2l behind excelebration last year & also gets the handy sex allowance tomorrow but more importantly she goes well fresh. i have watched animal kingdoms runs over a mile on youtube & frankly he looked paceless, things happened to quickly for him & they'll be no prisoners out there tomorrow & i can see the jockey shovelling on the coal at half way to be honest. i'm happy to take him on at odds on as for a horse thats running over an inadequate trip on unsuitable going the price is ridiculous.

LAY: animal kingdom

BACK: elusive kate (e/w) 7/1 bet365

3.05 ascot 5f Group 1 Kings Stand stakes

this is a difficult race that could change violently should there be any rain if i'm honest. rain or shine i'm happy to take on another short price fav in shea shea to be honest. i'm not the biggest fan of meydan form as i really dont think it travels well & this fella always seems to need a run to sharpen him up so after an 80 day break i'm not sure he'll be bang on his A-game. the fact that adam kirbys doing 8-12 on reckless abandon should be heeded & whilst i layed him on his re-appearance he ran far better than i expected in the temple stakes & last years middle park winner can take this valuable prize.

LAY: shea shea

BACK: reckless abandon 5/1 widely available

3.45 ascot 1m Group 1 St James Palace stakes

our old friend dawn approach goes here in a fascinating clash with magician & this race is a straight shout out between the two guineas winners in opinion. i'm starting to think though that the english version wasn't the greatest renewal & on a line through van der neer the ballydoyle inmate has his measure here & thats what we'll go with. the difference here though is i KNEW he wouldn't win the derby where as here i THINK he won't win..big difference..think on if your laying please..

LAY: dawn approach

BACK: magician 5/2 widely available

4.25 ascot 6f Group 2 Coventry stakes

not normally a race i would get heavily involved in but i do like the hannon runner thunder strike here. he showed a fabulous attitude at epsom & is only one of two runners in the field with a pattern race success to his name along with the ballydoyle raider stubbs. at the forecast prices i think hes a cracking each-way bet.

BACK: thunder strike (e/w) 9/1 widely available

i think i'll throw them in a lucky 15 as well to see if we can land a tasty return!

many thanks for following and good luck!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! very unlucky today if i'm honest.. as many of you know i'm not one to bemoan bad luck but the nap today with any kind of clear passage wins, simple as that. place money was a very bitter pill to swallow if i'm honest & hopefully tomorrow can see us back in the winners enclosure..

2pts e/w RASAMAN 4.40 doncaster (nap) 9/1 coral

hes now a couple of pound below his last winning mark over C&D last summer & was running back into form nicely last time out. jim goldie is enjoying a purple patch at present & he can get us off the mark tomorrow.

1pt e/w WASEEM FARIS 2.50 salisbury (nb) 10/1 bet365

this lads been very consistent recently & he can gain just reward here. hes also slipped below his last winning mark & looks tremendous value to me as he gets a 6lb turn around in the weights on recent running with forecast favourite asian trader.

1pt e/w JOHN BISCUIT 2.20 salisbury 8/1 bet365

this is a steep drop in grade after contesting C2 affairs recently & whilst it goes against my better judgement backing a hawk wing offspring he was succesful last time he was in a C4 & i also think hes better over this longer trip.

0.5pt e/w trixie

not only was the nap a bitter pill to swallow but an even bigger one was watching yesterdays nap the nifty fox re-appear today & win @ 14/1!! :((( and yes you guessed it..not a penny on it! an absolute epic fail on my part as it came out this time last year & won races in successsion but the day we stop learning is the day to give up..

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! straight into tomorrow then & here are the selections..

2pts e/w BARNET FAIR 3.35 musselburgh (nap) 9/1 skybet

he gets a 7lb pull with kingsgate choice to turn around recent form & aided by his favoured fast ground he can land the spoils here. in fact when theres been "firm" in the going title hes unbeaten & hes now just a pound above his last winning mark as well.

1pt e/w EASY TERMS 2.05 york (nb) 12/1 skybet

she beat crackentorp last year giving him a pound & i had it between the two but i feel the ground will be a touch lively for the easterby horse who has clearly been laid out for the race he won last year.on slightly better terms & on favoured going she can get back to winning ways here.

many thanks for following..

Evening sportsfans!! well what a day today was.. firstly we got off the mark with a tasty 6/1 shot in the afternoon in key ambition & then it was party time as the we entered the evening racing as followers of my timeline will know we landed the short priced double of equity risk (9/4) & henrytheaviator (5/4) & then blasted in 11/2 shot rusty rocket in the last to land a massive 50/1 treble! days like this need to be enjoyed as the tough times are hard enough to endure & it seems like alot followed so a cap doff to you all & long may it continue. :-) again the time factor is against me & ive only covered the musselburgh card upto now but i have two strong selections but like i said in previous posts at this time of year my working day is between 18-20hrs a day so the best thing to do is keep an eye on my timeline as i try to tweet my selections & lays as the day goes on at the minute.

2pts e/w THE NIFTY FOX 3.25 musselburgh (nap) 16/1 bet365

1pt e/w JOSHUA THE GREAT 4.30 musselburgh (nb) 12/1 bet365

0.5pt e/w double

i will try & add further selections when i have covered the sandown & york cards tomorrow morning at around 11am but please keep an eye on my timeline is the best i can tell you..

many thanks for following & special thanks for all your good wishes today, they really are appreciated & make the hard work worthwhile..

Evening sportsfans!! unfortunatly i find time against me again & the night racing is turning my working day into 18hrs at the minute so will be brief..

2pts e/w MISPLACED FORTUNE 4.10 notts (nap) 14/1 coral

has to turn around recent running with dick bos but is 13lb better off with his jockeys claim. could well be a very shrwed move from his trainer who knows the form book inside out.

1pt e/w ERRIGAL LAD 2.30 notts (nb) 7/1 bet365

another one that can take advantage of the maximum jockey claim & loves it here as well.

1pt e/w KEY AMBITION 3.00 notts 6/1 bet365

the drop into C6 company can work the trick here & he can grab the rail & make all.

11/6/2013

Evening sportsfans!! a very sad day for the sport of horse racing today with the passing of sir henry cecil. i think the term legend gets banded around far to often these days but sir henry was that & more in all fairness. seen as some what of a playboy in his younger days he took the sport by storm in his early days & as a youngster my earliest memories where of oh so sharps triple crown & know one could train a filly like sir henry..they came out of warren place like they where on a conveyor belt with the likes of diminuedo.. bosra sham.. indian skimmer.. the list is endless.he then had a very lean time in the nineties & i always remember him having a runner in a nottingham maiden & i was there and two young lads where reading the form & turned to each other & said " whos HRA CECIL?" i was shocked but sir henry was at his lowest ebb at the time & it was the niarchos family owned filly light shift that put him back in the big time winning the oaks & its almost fitting that it would be one of his leading ladies that put warren place back on the map & saw the flag flying high once again.losing sheikh mohammed as an owner when the godolphin bandwagon took off was a very painful blow & lesser men would have wilted but with his staunch alye prince khalid abdulla still sending him horses cecil kept the show on the road & better horses started to filter into the yard. then begins the story of frankel, which will now go down in history.. and so will sir henry.. who, i believe, the word legend doesn't do the great man justice,a cap doff to you sir henry... thanks for the memories...

here are tomorrows elections..

Evening sportsfans!! not a bad run from todays selection getting us some decent placed money @ 10/1 but the big one evades us still i'm afraid. with the firm ground meaning very few runners i've decided to stick to the polytrack tomorrow & i think theres some value to be had to be honest.. :-)

2pts e/w RESTLESS BAY 8.00 lingfield (nap) 20/1 ladbrokes

i got this race down to this one & billy red but the make up of the race will eventually decide the fate as billys drawn on the outside &  if he cant get on the lead then that will be his race over however our selection drawn two will be able to drop in behind the pace & pick them off turning into the straight hopefully.with there being plenty of pace pushers in the race i think they could well cut each others throats & he has slipped 3lb below his last winning mark.

1pt e/w TITAN TRIUMPH 8.30 lingfield (nb) 8/1 bet365

this ones in danger of becoming some what of a cliff horse of mine but hes ridiculously well handicapped its starting to be silly.a stone below his last winning mark he could well pick these up & carry them but it is last chance saloon as far as me & him are concerned tomorrow to be honest although i do think hes better over this 7f trip rather than the mile & he did show a bit more enthusiasm last time out to be fair to him.

i dont know wether i'm imagining it but there seems to be just as much jump racing as there is flat at the minute?? whats that all about? middle of summer with royal ascot just round the corner & we warm up with some novice hurdling from worcester!lol i'm sure the race planners that are currently stealing a living will have some strange reasoning for there actions but there you go.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! well i have to say with small fields tomorrow value is going to be very thin on the ground & the argument for courses watering has to be given consideration when the ground is like a road but thats an argument that will go on & on but hopefully i've found us a bit of value..

2pts e/w DAGHASH 7.30 windsor (nap) 10/1 bet365

the forecast firm ground will hold no fears for this lad & with neil callan currently riding on the crest of a wave he looks cracking value here.i'm not truly convinced he stayed the longer trip last time out & the drop back in distance along with the drop in grade should work the oracle to get his head back in front here.

just the one selection tomorrow & with it the start of a new year blogging!! :-) did i think i'd still be here 12 months on.. no not really but the interaction is infectious & whilst people are interested in reading then i'll keep writing! best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! and happy anniversary to me! it was 12 months ago today that i decided to put my thoughts out there for the world to see.. and i still enjoy it just as much today as i did on that very first post.. here are our stats for the last year..

if you had a £1 level stake on every horse blogged you would be showing a profit of..

+£41.26

if you followed our advised bets you would be showing a profit of..

+286 pts

during my time blogging i have interacted with some great people and made some great friends & whilst theres always the odd idiot that wants to pick fault i must say the general response to my blogs have been very positive & whilst thats the re-action i see no reason to stop! i have a nap for tomorrow & hopefully we can mark the anniversary with a decent priced winner!!

1pt e/w GRACEFUL DESCENT 2.45 notts (nap) 28/1 bet365

i have to admit theres not alot i fancy tomorrow so have decided to take a punt that a return to decent ground can spark a revival for this one & she wasn't beaten that far behind mohawk ridge off a higher mark recently.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i doff my cap to every one of you.. :-)

Evening sportsfans!! not a bad little day today to be fair, the nap getting placed at 12/1 & then the nb following suit at 8/1 to give give us a tidy profit on the day, hopefully tomorrow follows suit.. :-)

2pts e/w SECRET WITNESS 2.55 newmarket (nap) 20/1 bet365

the switch back to 6f is just what the doctor ordered for this lad & he can get his season kick started here. he caught the eye staying on over five last time out without troubling the judge & as long as the rain stays away i think he should run a blinder & the booking of richard hughes is a big plus.

1pt e/w INVISIBLE HUNTER 2.20 newmarket (nb) 14/1 bet365

i've been waiting for this one to get some decent ground & it looks like i might get my wish tomorrow. his run behind opinion last summer is arguably the best form on offer here & in typical godolphin fashion they've given him time to mature & most importantly they reach for the hood which after seeing him pull on his last three runs was the final piece in the jigsaw for me & i'm expecting a massive run here.

an absolutly cracking days racing tomorrow to be honest & i've got a long evening of form study in front of me so i wont bore you with waffle but i wish you the best of luck with whatever your backing & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans! if i'm brutally honest today was crap, simple as that really. i'm not one for dressing things up how there not & i was hoping for alot more to be honest.. hopefully tomorrow will bring some better luck..

2pts e/w SPIN AGAIN 5.05 lingfield (nap) 12/1 bet365

1pt e/w WOODEN KING 5.45 bath (nb) 8/1 bet365

0.5pt e/w double

the naps weighted to turn round recent form with west leake & can take this on his return to handicap company. he drops onto his last winning mark & whilst hes arguably better over 7f i think the mile should be fine on his favoured polytrack surface. the nb loves to hear his hooves rattle & also likes the course with three victories & five places on his c.v. & hopefully he can add to the tally tomorrow. just the two selections tomorrow & i must admit the last couple of days have been hard work trying to find some selections as most days i have a short list of 8/9 but the last few days they certainly haven't been jumping off the page at me but i'm hoping tomorrow can bare some fruit & i've yet to cover the evening cards.
many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! the nap was unfortunatly withdrawn but the nb ran a blinder getting placed @ a tasty 18/1 to give us a profitable day none the less.. and thats what counts at the end of the day! :-)

2pts e/w INTERAKT 2.30 brighton (nap) 16/1 paddy power

half a dozen runs back this lass was running round here & being competitive off a 9lb higher mark than this & considering she has valid excuses for her recent runs she looks outstanding value to me here. three of her last four runs have been in C4 races, put a line through them, shes not good enough, simple as that. two starts back she fluffed the start & it was all over before it started. her record over 5f in C5 races here reads.. 1-1-2-2-4.. this is her track & trip and i'm expecting a massive run to be honest & young harry bentley gets on particularly well with her also. dropped onto her last winning mark..over her favourite C&D and in the right grade... MASSIVE value in my opinion.

1pt e/w FIRST POST 7.25 sandown (nb) 16/1 bet victor

another course specialist whos record round here over a mile is.. 1-3-1-4-5-2-2..and has also now dropped to his last winning mark.

1pt e/w SOLEMN 6.50 sandown 16/1 william hill

this time last year milton bradleys sprinter won this race lumping 9-12 to victory & he had the look of a horse with a bit more to give to be honest & i'm hoping he saves his best for sandown & shows it here.

0.5pt e/w trixie

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

4/6/2013

Evening sportsfans!! for the second day in a row the nap lets us down & the nb gets placed, don't want this to start becoming a habit if i'm brutally honest and the sooner we snap this little run the better. hopefully tomorrow can see us return to winning ways..

2pts e/w PEARL ICE 8.15 ripon (nap) 6/1 bet365

david barrons gelding has had some tough tasks since taking this race last year but hes now dropped to the same mark & after only eleven lifetime starts he could well have a little more improvement left in him as well.

1pt e/w HECTORS CHANCE 8.00 kempton (nb) 18/1 bet victor

heather mains charge was quite progressive last summer & took a C&D handicap off this mark absolutly pulling a cart when last partnered by neil callan.his overall record over C&D reads 3-1-1 and looks cracking value to me here.

i must admit with there being an eight race southwell fibresand card & also turf action up at ayr i was hoping there would be some value about in the afternoon but it looks like its going to be a long wait until the evening for me tomorrow. theres a couple of things that i like tomorrow afternoon including ISHIAMIRACLE in the 5.30 & VITTACHI in the 4.10 but both are far shorter than i would like so wether i get involved is debatable to be honest. many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

3/6/2013

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to get excited about today although the NB was placed @ a tasty 20/1 to just about cover our stakes on the day.. hopefully tomorrow can see us back amongst the winners..

2pt win KARATE 5.45 lingfield (nap) 4/1 paddy power

last years winner comes here on a pound lower mark along with his young apprentice claiming an additional five he should have to many guns for his rivals here. he endured a nightmare run last time out when staying on into second showing he is still competitive off this mark & granted normal luck in running should take this with the minimal amount of fuss.

1pt e/w LORD AERYN 3.30 ripon (nb) 8/1 bet365

richard faheys gelding has been a model of consistency recently & gain apt reward here. his second behind david o'mearas rapidly improving two for two is stand out here form wise for me & he won't mind the drying ground either.

just the two selections tomorrow although i haven't yet covered the evening meeting at yarmouth but if anything catches my eye i will update the blog in the morning.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

2/6/2013

Evening sportsfans!! thanks to the wisdom of the BHA to yet again not bother to put on a flat fixture i've had a day off but hopefully we can keep the current good run going! firstly i have to have my say on the derby & to be fair it was all over as a contest after ten seconds for the favourite but anyone who thinks that "team tactics" don't exist in horse racing need to have a long look in the mirror. firstly the maestro of coolmore pulled of what was nothing short of a masterstroke by not sending a pacemaker off at a million miles an hour knowing that dawn approach would automatically want to go at a mile pace, meaning he pulled for his head uncontrollably & its pointless blaming the jockey as there was nothing at all he could do about it whatsoever.this brings me on to what i think was the best ride in the race & you might be surprised by my "man of the match".the game changer here was young joseph o'brien & i'll tell you why, now you have to bare in mind that young joseph would have had no idea whatsoever about dawn approach's antics in the early part of the race so when the favourite loomed large on his outside at the bottom tattenham corner with what to joseph would have looked like an unbeaten champion pulling double & taking up the running, the fact he had used up every ounce of energy pulling kevin mannings arms out wouldn't have entered his head & for a change he wasn't on the best horse in the race, he wasn't on the fastest horse in the race..all he had in his armoury was the brain in his head..and boy did he use it! he had battle of marengo right in the van throughout & didn't give an each around the undualtions of this unique course with the knowledge that all the ballydoyle raiders where pretty much gauranteed stayers i genuinly believe young joseph has "took one for the team" so to speak as the moment dawn approach hit the front joseph was at him like a tiger as if to say.. "if your a true champion..go & prove it!" he got back at the favourite within a few strides knowing the battalion of ballydoyle raiders would be leading the stampede from the rear and boy where they! ryan moore led the charge taking the running up & outstaying our selection who ran on gallantly for a place to land a very nice e/w derby/oaks double.i've been quick to criticise young o'brien in the past & yes he does over do the waiting tactics in my opinion but when the chips where down the lad pulled an ace out of the pack in my eyes, simple as that. now i'm basing this decision on the fact that he would have had absolutly no idea what the favourite was getting upto..all he needed to do was get the fav beat & he knew exactly how to do it... a cap doff goes out to you joseph..and thank you! :-)

onto matters in hand & here are tomorrows selections..

2pts e/w FALASTEEN 3.00 chepstow (nap) 20/1 bet365

1pt e/w KATMAI RIVER 5.45 leicester (nb) 20/1 bet365

0.5pt e/w double

the naps been on my radar for a while now & i'm hoping darren egans claim can just tip him over the edge & into the winners enclosure tomorrow.the nb is another who has fallen gradually in the handicap & now looks on a workable mark to me.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)
