4/9/2012

well we can quite easily put a line thro yesterday, awful days racing that should of been scrubbed from the outset.we'll move swiftly on to today then & this is a first for the blog,im very excited about today & have about six horses on my short list so im gonna to do it on a points basis...ten points being the nap & so on...

todays BACK selections...

lees anthem                 5.35 musselburg (5pts e/w)

now we had to do some digging to find this but think we could of unearthed a gem!!
hes back on his last winning mark off 52 (granted that was in 2010) over C&D
and ran with great credit off a pound higher mark in may this year & clearly loves it here.
back on his favoured ground & trip hes a serious contender here @ a potentially massive price.
he also has the hood on for the first time today which is a massive bonus & tells me
the yard means business.

rumh                           4.40 goowood (3pts e/w)

she was third LTO over an inadequate 9F in a listed event which was a cracking effort for this
daughter of monsun who will relish every yard of this 16F trip today, scooted home over this
trip @ kempton by 7L & expect much of the same today now shes back on the same mark
here, having performed in all the right races last year she was behind the likes of blue bunting, banimpire
& masked marvel in the st. leger no less.(altho beaten a fair way) and has some serious back class.
if you back on the place markets only this has to be a ten star nap for that.

light from mars            2.30 leicester (2pts e/w)

this one needs no introduction for most of you and comes here on a career low mark.
it was only last april he was lifting the spring cup @ newbury,he did finish 2nd three runs
back on unsuitably soft ground so does retain some ability & this is a typical horse
that will go in when you havent got a shilling on it!!lol however im tempted to him
today as hes been looking a bit like a petulant schoolboy so the introduction of
first time cheekpieces could just be whats required to sharpen him up.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & sharing my thoughts on the days racing.
ive been accused of being "secretive" with my tweeting, not really sure what they mean by this
but as its a constructive criticism i'll try & rectify it.twitter is an integral tool for any professional gambler
and very much so for me,going reports especially have been very wayward with the summer of
rain we've had & the "twitterati" is a much better source of solid going descriptions, the scottish tracks are covered by @bigtamthebam_12,the north west by @glennphil2010 & @yorkycourse & the southern areas by @badgerracing77.just a simple tweet to these guys will give you a far better going description than
any newspaper and they are all approachable guys with a keen interest in racing.anyway onto the "secretive"
tweets, the problem on twitter is that with only 140 characters to play with you have to shorten & abbreviate alot of words & thats simply all i do,looking in from the outside i realise this looks like some kind of morse code sometimes but it really isnt...should i tweet something that you cant workout all i can say is simply ask...i dont bite & will always respond!! well thats me done for today & hopefully at teatime i'll be sitting on my balcony with a large cigar.....well thats the plan anyway!! :-) as always good luck with whatever you decide today for your money & best wishes.

regards
ian
