30/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! more frustration today however tomorrow see's a new month & hopefully a fresh dawn!! i will be changing things slightly this month as i sort of got way layed with the results part of the blog this month & hopefully we can turn a profit!! :-)

MICHAEL FLIPS 3.40 NEWBURY (NAP)

Andy turnells charge gets a welcome drop in grade & can make it count here.he's weighted to turn around recent form with gus macrae getting a 9lb pull for just over 9l & that was also his seasonal debut so is entitled to come on for the run & we can excuse his run last time out behind al ferof as he was rightly outclassed but in this C2 he'll be far more at home & won't mind the underfoot conditions either.some of his form towards the end of last season was out the top drawer & he's a confident nap tomorrow.
4pts e/w @ 10/1 (bet victor)

CARRUTHERS 3.10 NEWBURY (NB)

we'll give our old friend carruthers a final throw of the dice tomorrow now he's had a couple of starts to sharpen himself up.he comes here just a pound higher than last years victory & he'll also relish the underfoot conditions.the one horse that i can't have on my mind at all is the favourite BOBS WORTH,i think the RSA chase he won was below par for the race & the form he has with grand crus has far from been upheld & the ground has to be a concern on his seasonal debut & how fit is he?? far to many questions to answer in my book even allowing for the bright start to the season the second season chasers are having & i'll be taking this thing on win & place til the cows  come home!! :-)
2pts e/w 28/1 (stan james)

hopefully we can get out the stalls a bit sharpish this month & start to build a solid foundation for some healthy profits!! :-) this also see's the end of the first month of the #teamchoochoo trading club & all told it's been a roaring success increasing our starting balance by over 40%!! hopefully there's another profitable month in store & our dream of a share in a nice horse may not be so distant after all!!
anyone requiring information on this innovative idea please e-mail me on im1973@hotmail.co.uk for more information.the only other thing that will be carrying my money tomorrow will be chasin rainbows in the 7.50 at wolves as i think this has a stand out chance.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

29/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well absolutely woeful tipping today guys if im honest,if they run well you sort of don't mind but when they run like they have done today you do start to worry a tad so i've spent the whole day in the form book & found what i think are two value & winning selections that can turn this around...

MATUHI 3.15 NEWBURY (NAP)

David pipe's gelding takes a welcome drop in grade & trip tomorrow & i think he can get his head back in front.since his last win he's primarily been campaigned at G3 level & hasn't been totally disgraced but this is much more his bag to be honest but his best run this year was in the victor chandler at cheltenham when just over 4l behind the classy calgary bay & now back in his company can make his presence felt here.
4pts e/w @ 14/1 (paddy power)

RIO GAEL 1.55 DONCASTER (NB)

this is another taking a drop in grade who i think will go very well at a nice price.he's not been disgraced at a higher level & ran well for a very long time last time out behind the paul nicholls trained shooters wood.the stable had a welcome winner today & this lad can continue there good form.
3pts e/w @ 12/1 (betfred)

well i think we're on somewhat of a reputation recovery mission after the last couple of days & i'm very confident on these two i must admit.sometimes you just have to hold your hands up & say "i got it wrong" it happens i'm afraid.all you'll get from this blog is honesty so if you expect the usual "jockey cost me" & "clearly wasn't fit" excuses you won't get them from me but i'm confident we'll be back tomorrow with some smiley faces!! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!

28/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! as regular readers know i'm not one for excuses,if i get it wrong i hold my hands up & move on... however i must say we paid the price dearly today with having a 3lb claimer on top,he came that wide he had to get a bus back to the course & was only beaten a length at the death but it was all in the form book beforehand so on we go & here are tomorrows thoughts...

QEETHAARA 5.35 KEMPTON (NAP)

mark brisbournes mare looks on an extremely attractive mark tomorrow & can make her way back into the winners enclosure. with her young jockeys claim shes a full 8lb below her last winning mark & with four course wins (three over C&D) to her name she looks primed & ready for action from a stable that like a punt so it might pay to snap up the early value.
4pts e/w @ 12/1 (bet365)

SHARE OPTION 1.55 UTTOXETER (NB)

this is another that has tumbled down the weights recently & now looks on a very attractive mark.the key thing with this one tomorrow though is that he handles heavy ground which is imperative tomorrow in my opinion & also has decent course form to his name at the midlands venue.
2pts e/w @ 25/1 (bet365)

i think the jumps meetings are going to be quite perilous over the next couple of weeks and what the ground is going to be like is anyone's guess to be honest.i would say we'll concentrate on the a/w but southwell is now closed until the new year owing to flooding so it's a bit of a nightmare fixture wise at the minute although i must credit the bha for quickly re-arranging the abandoned fixtures to nearby courses.there's not alot else to report from here to be honest & the quite time has given me a chance to catch up with things some what & i'm now ready for the coming jumps season with far more interest than i have this last couple of weeks to be honest.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

27/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well what a load of bollox today turned out to be!! the nap running like a three legged mule then the nb finished second...all be it crawling over the line 64l behind the winner!! :-(
our end of term report reads..."must do better!" so onto tomorrow & we have some quite competitive a/w action in my opinion & hopefully we've found a bit of value for tomorrow!! :-)

HATTA STREAM 1.30 LINGFIELD (NAP)

this lad looks particularly well handicapped tomorrow & we'll take him as our nap.he comes here a pound above his last winning mark & ran a most encouraging race last time out at big odds.his young jockey takes a valuable three pound off his back & i think that can tip the scales in his favour over a C&D he clearly loves.
4pts e/w @ 9/1 (bet victor)

BAJAN TRYST 7.00 KEMPTON (NB)

Kevin ryans gelding comes here on his last winning mark & i think he could be the hidden gem tomorrow.he has been quite busy this summer without really setting the world on fire but they where in some pretty hot handicaps including the portland & stewards cup to name a few.graham lee knows him well & i think they could run an absolute blinder tomorrow.
3pts e/w @ 16/1 (bet365)

HEIGHT OF SUMMER 4.30 KEMPTON

now we do have to take a bit of a leap of faith with this one but at likely odds is well worth a punt i think & we do have to put our trust in steady ted durcan which is never the greatest of ideas but even he has to have the odd winner!! she comes here on a winning mark at least  & does like it here so at the prices she'll do to complete the #teamchoochoo patent tomorrow.
2pts e/w @ 16/1 (bet365)

after the recent famine we've got some quite competitive a/w action tomorrow to be honest & at first glance it looks like theres quite alot of well handicapped horses running tomorrow, how many of them are trying though is a totally different ball game!!lol with the recent bad weather the #teamchoochoo trading club has been a little bit quiet but we'll be back in full swing tomorrow guys!! :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

26/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! very disappointing run from todays nap, never in contention, must do better!! :-) i think i might have found a couple of nice things tomorrow...

LADY WILLA 1.00 LINGFIELD (NAP)

mark gillards canny little mare can get the day off to a flyer for #teamchoochoo i think tomorrow.she comes here on her last winning mark & has won on heavy going in her younger days so the underfoot conditions won't pose any concerns.she's had a couple of runs to put her right this year & i'm expecting a massive run tomorrow from this one to be honest.
5pts e/w @ 8/1 (ladbrokes)

PESNETT BAY 3.00 LINGFIELD (NB)

we'll take jo hughes' charge to try & give us a nice double on the day.he ran a blinder on his return off this mark finishing just over 6l behind time for spring which will have blown the cobwebs away & he can make a welcome return to the winners enclosure here.
5pts win @ 5/1 (bet365)

2.5pts e/w double

we're down to the bare bones again tomorrow with just one meeting but at least it's half decent if not overloaded with quantity to be honest.a quite start to the week for the #teamchoochoo trading club but today yielded yet another profitable day. :-) anyone requiring details of this innovative venture please contact me for details on im1973@hotmail.co.uk many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Sunday 25 November 2012

25/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! not alot to report to be fair with the weather playing havoc today & tomorrows a/w card at southwell already falling foul of the eliments.we've got a selection but wether the meeting goes ahead is another matter!! :-(

RIFLEMAN 3.20 LUDLOW (NAP)

Richard lee's veteran has dropped to a favourable mark here & more importantly handles testing going which is going to be vital tomorrow.he was runner-up on three occasions this year off a higher mark before struggling at a higher level but he did show signs of resurgance last time out & we'll take him to carry on the stables good recent run of form.
3pts e/w @ 9/1 (paddy power)

like i said it's a very quite time at the minute & theres not alot else i can get excited about tomorrow to be honest.the #teamchoochoo trading club had a great day saturday & we have now grown our bank by nearly 50% in the first month!! :-) anyone requiring information on this innovative idea please contact me on im1973@hotmail.co.uk for details.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

23/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!!! we're back after 24 hours off & i think i might just have found us a little bit of value for tomorrow...

VICTORY GUNNER 3.40 HAYDOCK (NAP)

now at first look the first thing you think is that at the age of 14 he'll be over the hill but i'm prepared to give him one last throw of the dice tomorrow.the one thing that is gauranteed is that he won't mind the going as i think it's going to turn into an absolute bog & you'll probably see them strung out all over lancashire at the death to be honest.he also stays the trip well & he is on a winning mark all be it nearly a year ago so the three together make him massive value imo
2pts e/w @ 33/1 (widely available)

again we find ourselves with small fields & not alot of value to be honest even for a saturday.i must admit i haven't covered the a/w cards yet & if i stumble across anything i'll do a blog update.the one thing that i will be taking on tomorrow is long run in the betfair chase,i cant believe how short he is to be honest & i cant help but feel that this one might have his glory days behind him to be honest.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

21/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! all smiles here at mallard towers after todays NB goes in advised at 8/1 on here last night!! :-) we then had two finish fourth at big prices so quite a fruitful day all told...

ENDEAVOUR 3.40 MARKET RASEN (NAP)

well it's only taken til thursday to find a decent NH selection guys but hopefully it will be worth it.the jumps scene has been woeful at best so far this week but i'm quite happy to get stuck into diane sayers gelding tomorrow as he comes here on a winning mark & more importantly goes back in a C5 for only the second time since that win.the other run was last time out & we can forgive him that as i dont think he stays 20f to be honest.
4pts e/w @ 9/1 (bet365)

FANTASY GLADIATOR 5.40 KEMPTON (NB)

this lad looks on a decent mark to me & i cant believe how big he is in the betting to be honest.he was only beaten around 2l off a 4lb higher mark three runs back over C&D and with graham lee taking the ride tomorrow i think he's massive value to be honest.he's now dropped to a mark 4lb below his last turf winning one & off bottom weight tomorrow could well give the market leaders plenty to think about on a course where he has three wins to his name.
3pts e/w @ 25/1 (bet victor)

now then followers we're going to go a bit leftfield here as i've had a request from a very respected member of the twitteratti @bigtamthebam_12.a friend of his has a little boy with F.O.P. which was recently brought to light by a channel 4 documentary titled "the human mannequin".they are trying to raise £125k for much needed research & anybody who can help please go to fopaction.co.uk for donation details how ever large or small it all makes a difference. :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

20/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!!! well you just don't get any closer than today guys, the nap getting chinned literally on the line at a massive s.p. of 20/1 & the other two selections ran absolute blinders at big prices but both just missed the frame but i certainly wouldn't lose faith with either selection to be honest when they next appear.at first glance again tomorrow the NH scene looks worse than dreadful so we'll stick to the a/w in our quest for riches..

CATIVO CAVALLINO 1.30 LINGFIELD (NAP)

we go back to a previous nap to do us a favour tomorrow with this ultra consistent gelding.his record in C6 events round lingfield reads..1-1-1-4-2-3-4-3 and he was running on well last time when he was placed for us at a tasty 16/1.now i know we won't get anything like that price tomorrow but he should still be a backable price & he also drops another pound in the handicap tomorrow which is always helpful!! :-)
4pts win @ 9/2 (bet365)

STORM RUNNER 2.00 LINGFIELD (NB)

george margarson's runner comes here a pound below his last winning mark & can get back to winning ways.he hasn't been totally disgraced since & has run a couple of decent races in defeat off higher marks & the booking of graham lee also catches my eye.
3pts e/w @ 8/1 (bet365)

SEEK THE FAIR LAND 2.30 LINGFIELD

now there is a bit of a leap of faith involved with this one but at likely odds is well worth a second look to be honest.he's on a winning mark but is drawn out in the car park so i'll be keeping stakes to a minimum but hopefully he can repay our faith.
2pts e/w @ 25/1 (ladbrokes)

KAMES PARK 3.30 LINGFIELD

Richard guests veteran is now 2lb below his last winning mark & can regain the winning thread here.he's been primarily campaigned at a slightly higher level than this & the drop in grade can make all the difference tomorrow fingers crossed!! :-)
2pts e/w @ 12/1 (bet365)

1pt e/w lucky 15 (all 4 selections)

like i said in the intro the NH card's tomorrow look woeful at best so touchwood the a/w can throw us up a decent return.the #teamchoochoo trading club continues to build up a head of steam as we had two 2nd's today both @ 20/1 to give us yet another profitable day.anyone wishing to get involved please e-mail me on im1973@hotmail.co.uk for details.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 19 November 2012

19/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! bitter disappointment todays nap to be honest & i'm not sure that i didn't misjudge the going in all fairness.no excuses from these quarters though & i've decided to have a good go at the a/w tomorrow so here are my thoughts...

DUNASKIN 12.20 SOUTHWELL (NAP)

i think i'm going to give richard guests veteran one last chance tomorrow now he goes over 12f.he's now dropped to a rock bottom mark & wasn't totally disgraced last time out over 14f,a trip which i dont think he stays.southwell really is a specialists track & theres not many in this that can boast track form although my good friend @glennphil2010 has put up honest strike, who has at least won on the track & if ever he's going to win another race then surely this must be it but i'm sticking with dunaskin to do us a favour & get the day off to a flyer for #teamchoochoo.
3pts e/w @ 16/1

STEEL CITY BOY 12.50 SOUTHWELL (NB)

now we've got to take a bit of a leap of faith with this one but at the price i think is well worth it as i dont think it's coincidence that he's re-united with apprentice george challoner for the first time since there win over this track in december last year.now that day he went off a mark of 54 with young george claiming 5lb,tomorrow he goes off 56 with george claiming 7lb...do the math!! :-)
2pts e/w @ 16/1

MULLINS WAY 3.20 SOUTHWELL

Jo hughes' charge has dropped to a seriously dangerous mark here & on some of his form could pick these up & carry them to be honest.it is imperative that you watch the market with this one as miss hughes is the partner of southwell "legend" paul blockley, who was warned off not that many years ago & the stable do like a punt.on breeding he should relish the surface & this is the lowest grade he's faced to date so if the stable are ever going to have it off with this one then tomorrows the day in my opinion.
2pts e/w @ 33/1

tomorrows jumps cards at first sight resemble a dingley point to point to be honest, pretty low grade dreadful stuff,in fact thats a diservice to dingley as i've spent many a bank holiday monday at the leicestershire track & thoroughly enjoyed it.the #teamchoochoo trading club is really gathering pace at a rate of knots at the minute with boa landing the odds today @ a massive 25/1 for the club!! anyone wanting details please e-mail me on im1973@hotmail.co.uk & i'll be happy to help.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Sunday 18 November 2012

18/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to get excited about today guys,in fact if anything a bit of a let down to be honest.i'm not sure wether the nap had a much harder race than first thought last week so i'm going to reserve judgement for another day on that one so onto tomorrow and here are my thoughts...

SHADOWS LENGTHEN 2.40 LEICESTER (NAP)

having already had a pipe opener this season i think i'm going to be playing quite heavy on this one tomorrow.he comes here back on his last winning mark & could still be open to a bit of improvement to be honest as he's only a 6-y-o & jake greenall gets on particularly well with him & his 5lb claim can be invaluable.if it comes up soft i may have a few reservations as i'm not sure he's as effective with some give underfoot but i'll monitor the weather throughout the day & touchwood it will be an half decent surface for us.
5pts e/w @ 9/1 (paddy power)

a very quite start to the weeks racing i think although i do like the look of BOA & WARFARE on the a/w at wolverhampton.the #teamchoochoo trading club got back in the winning groove today & i have to say the first week has been a success seeing us add over 20% to our starting bank.anyone requiring information please e-mail me on im1973@hotmail.co.uk & i'll forward the details.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

Saturday 17 November 2012

17/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well the one thing i didn't anticipate today was heavy going which pretty much put paid to the nap before the off in all fairness but to be honest on decent ground i don't think he'd of been good enough as the winner was pretty impressive in my eyes & i think that will be the last time you see him in a handicap for a while.here are tomorrows thoughts...

PROSPECT WELLS 2.50 CHELTENHAM (NAP)

with ruby walsh over in ireland to ride hurricane fly i think it can do this one a favour as he now has the stables very capable 7lb claimer harry derham on board & i think the claim can tip the scales in his favour.he did win on soft ground at chantilly when trained by andre fabre in his younger days & usually when they describe it as soft over there its normally hock deep so the ground shouldn't pose any problems.on saying that though he's by the all conquering sire saddlers wells so he could quite well improve if anything on bottomless ground.on form lines with forecast favourite darlan i think he has the beating of the nicky henderson inmate & with the added bonus of a solid re-appearance last saturday he should be primed & spot on for this tomorrow.
4pts e/w @ 8/1 (william hill)

it will be all eyes on cheltenham tomorrow with the return of nicky hendersons stable star sprinter sacre but his participation must be in doubt with forecast weather conditions.i must admit i'm a flat man myself rather than NH but not since watching desert orchid back in the late eighties & early nineties has something made my hair stand on end like this one does when he takes to the track & will surely be contesting for major honours this term.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

Friday 16 November 2012

16/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well we might of hit the crossbar the day before but we nailed the bullseye today!! :-) swing bill going off a mammoth 16/1 s.p. to reward followers after a few tough weeks i have to admit.enough wallowing & onto tomorrows thoughts...

POQUELIN 2.35 CHELTENHAM (NAP)

Paul nicholls' grand stayer can draw first blood for team ditcheat in the first big handicap of the season.he ran well for along time on his seasonal re-appearance over an inadequate 3m at ascot a fortnight ago & that will have put him spot on for this.harry derhams claim is also a massive bonus as he's a more than capable big race pilot in my opinion.he won a G2 off a 7lb higher mark over C&D back in april last year & whilst that was a while ago there's every reason to believe he can get involved in this as he has five course wins to his name so clearly loves it here & when you take into consideration his young jockeys claim he hasn't raced off a mark as low as this since december 2009!!
4pts e/w @ 28/1 (paddy power)

well after today's monster haul of over 70pts i would imagine we're in front for the month however i've lost the notes that i was recording the results on so i will have to find time to go through the posts & jot them down again.i have to say i've only done the cheltenham card upto now so keep an eye out for a blog update either later on this evening or early tomorrow.the #teamchoochoo trading club suffered it's first slight setback today however we're still showing over 20% gains on the week.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Thursday 15 November 2012

15/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well again we've hit crossbar today guys, the NB running a mighty race getting placed @ 10/1 but the NAP turned out quite disappointing after being backed heavily all day. lets hope tomorrow brings a change of luck... :-)

SWING BILL 4.05 CHELTENHAM (NAP)

David pipes charge comes here on a winning mark & must be a banker for a place at the very least to be honest.he goes well when fresh as shown when taking this event last term but i have to admit i don't know an awful lot about the jockey but he has gone well for conditional/amateur riders in the past so hopefully the old stager can give his young pilot a good ride round prestbury park and bring home the bacon for #teamchoochoo.
4pts e/w @ 12/1 (ladbrokes)

there's a few other things that catch my eye tomorrow including riptide in the 3.35 who could go well at a monster price but fitness has to be an issue with anything first time up to be honest so i'll be taking a watching brief with the notebook at the ready!! :-) he has been busy on the flat recently but a small e/w investment would be as far as i would want to go to be fair.the #teamchoochoo trading club netted yet another profitable day today & things are looking rosey on that front but from little acorns my friends...i'll leave it at that!!lol many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Wednesday 14 November 2012

14/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to get excited about here folks, the nap finishing where all decent e/w shots finish, bloody fourth & the NB clearly not suited to the polytrack & i doff my cap to my good friend @glennphil2010 for pointing out the poor sire stats on that one. so on to tomorrows thoughts...

KOO AND THE GANG 3.50 SOUTHWELL (NAP)

Brian ellisons gelding comes here a pound below his last a/w winning mark & can get back to winning ways.personally i think this is his optimum trip so did well to stay on the premises as long as he did over a trip that would of stretched his stamina to the max last time out & prior to that again put in a sterling effort in heavy going so he comes here in good heart.C&D form is imperative at the nottinghamshire track so with three course wins & two placings to his name he'll do for #teamchoochoo tomorrow.
5pts win @ 7/2 (bet365)

ORION EXPRESS 1.10 TAUNTON (NB)

Last years winner comes here on a 7lb lower mark & can get back to winning ways.since that run this is the first time he's been dropped back into a C5 & i think that can make all the difference to be honest.he's actually got three course wins to his name with two of them being over the C&D so should be more than capable of making a bold showing tomorrow.
3pts e/w @ 8/1 (bet365)

I have to say the jump meetings look particularly poor tomorrow & the sooner the better class animals start to show there faces the better in my opinion.the #teamchoochoo trading club continues to gather pace with yet another winning day although it could of been so much better guys!! :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

Tuesday 13 November 2012

13/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! we're flying high here at mallard towers tonight as todays NB buck milligan goes in at a tasty 5/1 advised last night!! :-) hopefully we can go on a bit of a run from here so here are tomorrows thoughts...

DUNASKIN 3.50 SOUTHWELL (NAP)

richard guests course specialist looks right up our street tomorrow gang.he's got four course wins & six places to his name at the nottinghamshire venue & can make his mark in this very poor race to be honest.granted the sir mark prescott beast looks a danger but he needed every yard of the 2m trip last time out & the drop in distance here isn't going to suit in my opinion,in fact if you watch the race again he didn't get going until close home & if anything needs further!!!!lol our lad also drops to his last winning mark & this really is a specialists course & i think this track savvy pensioner might just do us a big favour tomorrow.
4pts e/w @ 25/1 (bet365)

MOVE IN TIME 5.25 KEMPTON (NB)

i'm going to take a chance on brian smart's colt tomorrow as he could well be thrown in here.let me tell you how much of a drop in grade this is & maybe you'll agree, now he's had 22 lifetime starts & EVERY horse thats won the race that he's ran in is RATED IN TRIPLE FIGURES! so as you can see now running against horses top rated of 93 (and thats dubious to be honest) and below he must have a cracking chance.his best run so far this season in my opinion was when just over 5l behind kingsgate choice in the catterick dash off a 6lb higher mark, that was in a C2 & a repeat would surely be good enough here.now i know theres a question mark over the surface & the sire stats aren't great for the course (in fact there woeful!) but i think the godolphin beast will blast out from his low draw & hopefully this lad can drop on his shoulder from the seven box & kop a tow round until out running them off the cut back...sounds good in principal if nothing else!! :-)
3pts e/w @ 16/1 (william hill)

well that just about concludes things as theres not an awful lot i can get excited about over the jumps tomorrow to be honest.the #teamchoochoo trading club are flying along with yet another profitable day & it has been a great start to the venture.we have three trades lined up for tomorrow again so keep a close eye on your inboxes tomorrow morning!! :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & if you like what you've read why not give me a R/T or let me know what your thoughts are on the days racing ahead.good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! another disappointing nap today i must admit but the search goes on for those elusive winners so here are tomorrows thoughts...

GAVROCHE GAUGAIN 1.50 SEDGEFIELD (NAP)

three non completions in his last four runs doesn't inspire confidence at first sight but his course record over fences reads...
3-3-F-1-2-3-1 so has got to be of interest here tomorrow.add into the mix that he comes here on his last winning mark over C&D and we're really onto something i think & is a confident nap tomorrow.
5pts e/w @ 7/1 (paddy power)

BUCK MILLIGAN 3.20 SEDGEFIELD (NB)

Evan williams' gelding takes a welcome drop in grade tomorrow & can make hay whilst the sun shines off what now looks like a lenient mark.the pick of his form last year was when second behind billie magern at cheltenham of a 6lb higher mark that he races off tomorrow.he also filled the places behind the likes of premier dane & benny be good this last year & either of those runs would be good enough to take this in my opinion.
4pts win @ 5/1 (ladbrokes)

again its certainly not the greatest racing we'll ever see tomorrow & maybe an a/w card wouldn't have gone a miss mr fixture planner!! #teamchoochoo trading club members will be pleased to hear we had another profitable day & a daily round up of all the clubs trades has been e-mailed out already.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

11/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! very quite day today folks, very poor fare after yesterdays riches but we'll soldier on regardless...

BLAZING DIVA 12.50 CARLISLE (NAP)

now at first glance you may think me slightly insane for napping this one but she loves it here finishing runner-up over C&D off a pound higher in march & winning off this mark in 2011.i think all her opponents here have questions to answer & at least she's got C&D form in the book.she might just be able to poach an easy lead here & they might struggle to tag along when the going gets tough at the business end of the race.
3pts e/w @ 14/1 (paddy power)

just the one selection tomorrow for the blog on yet another poor days racing to be fair.however the #teamchoochoo trading club shareholders will be pleased to hear that we have four trades lined up for tomorrow so keep an eye on your inboxes tomorrow morning guys!! ;-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!!! :-)

Saturday 10 November 2012

10/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to shout about here guys, nine selections yielding just the one winner i'm afraid with the nap particularly disappointing, dropped out at the back & never even looking interested to be fair.we'll soldier on though so here are tomorrows thoughts...

I NEED A HERO 2.45 MARKET RASEN (NAP)

he's had a couple of welter burdens recently but a nice drop in the weights could well spark a return to form for sue humphreys gelding.he gets in here on his last winning mark & will welcome the drop in class as well.to be honest i think this is about his grade but he is effective in it & we'll take him to end the barren run.
3pts e/w @

well after today's feeble effort our monthly standing's are...

selections: 27
winners: 2
placed: 2
unplaced: 23
+/- to advised stakes: -34pts

really isn't great reading in all fairness & we need to turn a corner rapidly to be honest.on the plus side we've just completed the first days trading of the #teamchoochoo trading club &"shareholders" will be pleased to hear the news of our near 10% increase on our bank in day one!!! :-) (please check e-mail inbox) there has been some confusion over the e-mails sent out but that has now been rectified & everyone should now be fully up to date.i must admit at first glance tomorrow doesn't look great but i'll leave a final decision until the morning but all members will be notified by 10 a.m. of the days trades if there are any.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

Friday 9 November 2012

9/11/2012

Evening sporstfans!! well i'm glad to see the back of today to be honest,an absolute shocker of a days racing in my opinion.the nap ran a respectable race but when it drifted to 110.0 on betfair just before the off i wasn't holding my breathe!! onto some proper racing tomorrow & here are my thoughts...

DIAMOND HARRY 3.25 WINCANTON (NAP)

Nick williams' classy gelding can get his career back on track now he takes a drop in grade.three out of his last four runs have been at G1 level but i think it could be to soon to right him off completely as injuries have taken there toll over the last few years but if he comes here anywhere near his A game they won't see which way he goes to be honest as he proved at the start of his 2010/11 campaign when winning the hennessy of a two pound higher mark.
3pts e/w @ 7/1 (william hill)

SIRVINO 2.35 DONCASTER (NB)

the turf flat season signs off with the traditional november handicap so i thought we'd have a go at solving the conundrum!! david barrons' consistent gelding can prove the answer i think as he hasn't gone off a mark as low as this since scoring at windsor in june of 2011.since then he's had a spell over in dubai but he does have form that gives him the beating of both favourite first mohican & art scholar on there running three weeks ago enjoying a handy weight turn around with both rivals tomorrow.
2pts e/w @ 22/1 (ladbrokes)

*selections added this morning*

HORATIO CARTER 12.20 DONCASTER
David o'mearas gelding gets in here on his last winning mark and also gets optimim trip & conditions.
1pt e/w @ sp

VIOLIN DAYS 1.40 WINCANTON
first season trainer harry fry has got off to a flyer & this ex-paul nicholls trained mare looks well traeted by race conditions on her return to the track.
1pt e/w @ sp

COOTEHILL 2.25 SANDOWN
another well treated & comes here "fit" which is more than can be said of some of his rivals today & can go well.
1pt e/w @ sp

CHESHIRE PRINCE 3.00 SANDOWN
got ran out of it off this mark by a well backed jp mcmanus youngster lto & can go one better here, touch & go wether this was going to be todays nap or not. :-)
1pt e/w @ sp

TIME FOR SPRING 3.35 SANDOWN
champ tony mccoy takes the ride on charlie longsdens inmate & the pair have a fearsome strike rate.
1pt e/w @ sp

SOPRANO 1.30 KELSO
jim goldies stable stalwart can teach his young rivals a lesson here.
1pt e/w @ sp

LOCKSTOWN 2.05 KELSO
another that looks well treated on previous form & looks on a very workable mark here.
1pt e/w @ sp

after today our current monthly standing sits at..

selections: 18
winners: 1
placed: 2
unplaced: 15
+/- to advised stakes: -16pts

the figures really dont look great but hopefully there's rich pickings on the horizon tomorrow!!! :-) since i've been writing my blog i must admit i've interacted with quite a few followers & i would like to take this opportunity to thank each & every one of you for your continued support & the R/T's i recieve really are appreciate & make it worth while.the #teamchoochoo trading club moves into action for the first time tomorrow so please keep an eye on your inboxes tomorrow morning for our first trades of this exciting new venture!! :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Thursday 8 November 2012

8/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well the crossbar got pounded today guys!! we're still not quite there but we're certainly heading in the right direction!!! :-) first the nap getting placed at a monster 25/1 then the nb looking all set to notch the e/w double & trading at odds on i/r until just getting worried out of it in fourth.but alas we'll move on but i have to say what a shocking card it looks tomorrow at first sight, runners are very thin on the ground & when thats the case value is even thinner so i cant stress enough, keep stakes to a minimum until things start to pick up...

CARTER 7.20 WOLVERHAMPTON (NAP)

Ian williams' gelding has had a recent spin over hurdles to sharpen him up & he looks well treated here.he comes here on his last winning mark and is also a C&D scorer so the track & trip won't pose any problem.this shrewd yard have also re-fitted the visor tomorrow & touchwood it can have the desired effect.
2pts e/w @

COOL BARANCA 2.50 MUSSELBURGH (NB)

Diane sayer's mare is another that's had a recent spin under a different code, this time having a run on the flat winning an amateur riders event at hamilton prior to her recent defeat at aintree.i must admit i had one eye on her that day & she didn't run badly at all behind the now rated 136 cape express of nicky henderson's.she's now dropped 2lb below her last winning mark & the trainers daughter claims another valuable 5lb which could just tip the scales in her favour tomorrow.
2pts e/w @

after today's near miss our current monthly standing's sit at...

selections: 17
winners: 1
placed: 2
unplaced: 14
+/- to advised stakes: -12pts

well it looks slightly better but still nothing to get excited about to be honest,a juicy priced winner would be very welcome!! :-)
the #teamchoochoo trading club makes it's debut tomorrow, however, at first look i may delay the start until saturday as with small fields there's not going to be alot of value around & i'm certainly not going to try & make selections appear just for the sake of it,that really is the fast track to the poor house!! i have got the fontwell card still to cover though & i will delay a decision til 10 a.m. tomorrow morning when i will e-mail all "shareholders" to let them know either the days trades or the new start date.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!!

Wednesday 7 November 2012

7/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! a bit better today gang, netting a 9/1 place to just about cover our stakes & the nap ran well enough in fifth but we're still not quite on the ball at the minute & hopefully i can put that right tomorrow...

CATIVO CAVALLINO 1.40 LINGFIELD (NAP)

now this really is a course specialist having seven course wins to his name & better still he now appears in the right grade.his record round lingfield in C6 races reads... 1-1-1-4-2-3-4 so should be in his element tomorrow & hasn't run off a handicap mark this low since april 2007!! he could well be thrown in here & he gets on particularly well with the young apprentice on board.
2pts e/w @ 25/1 (bet365)

LUJEANIE 3.10 LINGFIELD (NB)

this is another some what of a course specialist having two victories to his name & a couple of runner up spots so not quite in the same league as the nap!!lol but he does come here on his last winning mark over C&D so at a forecast juicy price is well worth an investment tomorrow..
2pts e/w @ 20/1 (paddy power)

after today's near miss our current standing for the month reads..

selections: 15
winners: 1
placed: 1
unplaced: 13
+/- to advised stakes: -18pts

still doesn't make great reading to be fair but hopefully we can go on a bit of a run from here!! :-) many thanks to all that replied to the #tradingclub & i am trawling my way through the e-mails so if i haven't replied yet you will recieve it by tonight at the latest i promise.we are still on target to kick off on monday so it's exciting times here at mallard towers!! :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Tuesday 6 November 2012

6/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well another bitter sweet day again to be honest,we put up 9 selections in total & we returned 3 winners,3 placed & 3 duck eggs, the highlight being prince james' success at a juicy 8/1 but yet again with jumping being the name of the game it let us down badly.hinterland blundered his chance away in the novice chase to deprive us of a treble & then the nap clouted two fences in a row before being pulled up.the facts are though in order to win you have to jump the fences but it is disappointing when you really fancy something.on first looks tomorrow looks an absolutly dreadful day but then again i think we where a tad spoilt today with the quality of racing, cue cards victory being the particular highlight in my opinion & i'm expecting big things from him this season.i've managed to dig out a couple of selection's for tomorrow but i can't stress strongly enough that it's best to keep stakes to a minimum until the new season settles down as the form book does seem to be all over the place at the minute.

ELLEMUJIE 4.55 KEMPTON (NAP)

Dean ivory's gelding was very consistent this time last year, running particularly well here at kempton off marks higher than he goes off tomorrow.he's had a few runs on the turf to sharpen him up & hopefully he'll come here with all guns blazing on his A game now he's back on his beloved polytrack & more importantly back in the right grade as he's been tried in C3's a couple of times since & has failed to cut the mustard.
2pts e/w @

ILLYSANTACHRISTINA 3.05 CHEPSTOW (NB)

this is one that could be on a seriously dangerous mark coming here 7lb below her last victory.she has performed with credit since that win most notably when second off a 5lb higher mark at fontwell at the beginning of september.she dropped into a C5 for that run & again takes the drop into a lower grade tomorrow & i think the move can pay handsome dividends.
2pts e/w @

unfortunatly the only points staked today didn't yield us a return so here are our current monthly standings...

selections: 13
winners: 1
placed: 0
unplaced: 12
+/- to advised stakes: -17pts

doesn't make good reading at the minute folks i have to admit but hopefully after a promising day today the tide is starting to turn. :-)
i am currently in the progress of starting the #teamchoochoo #tradingclub which hopefully will be ready to start on monday.anyone thats interested please drop me an e-mail to ianmallard123@gmail.com & i will forward the details.those that have already signed up will be forwarded the selections & trades by 11a.m. every morning along with our current position.(this will make more sense after you have recieved the details!!!lol) apologies to anyone that has sent me mail to my hotmail account but it was hacked a couple of weeks ago & it has been a pain in the backside trying to sort it out!! :-( please use the e-mail address provided for future reference.as always many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 5 November 2012

5/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!!! not alot to get excited about today gang.the nap particularly disappointing running no sort of race whatsoever then the NB being withdrawn presumably because of the fears over the going which we highlited then the third selection blundering his chance away being pulled up,the name of the game is jumping though in the NH sphere so we'll take it on the chin & move on to tomorrow so here are my thoughts...

INSIDE DEALER 3.50 EXETER (NAP)

Colin tizzards strapping gelding can get back in the winning groove now he's back in the right grade tomorrow.he was stepped up in class after his victory at stratford in june & just hasn't been quite good enough since although he has run some excellent races in this grade off a similiar mark most notably when trying to give 20lb to the fast improving hunt ball at wincanton.he's now dropped to a couple of pound above that winning mark & can make his presence felt here on what could turn out to be a good day for the stable.
2pts e/w @ 10/1 (ladbrokes)

there are quite a few other things that i like tomorrow on what looks an excellent days racing for a tuesday to be honest. there are a few short priced things that should mop up tomorrow with the minimum amount of fuss including...

LA ESTRELLA 2.10 SOUTHWELL
CUE CARD 2.50 EXETER
HINTERLAND 3.20 EXETER

the three above should pay around 6/1 for the treble & are well worth having a look at.

the other things that i like that should go well at a price include...

GERONIMO CHIEF 12.40 SOUTHWELL
ONLY TEN PERCENT 1.40 SOUTHWELL
LAS VERGLAS STAR 3.00 REDCAR
TARANTELLA LADY 3.30 REDCAR
PRINCE JAMES 4.00 REDCAR

as far as the blog goes the only selection that i'll be putting a stake on is the nap as it really is a perilous time of year regards going & fitness.our current monthly standings are as follows...

selections: 12
winners: 1
placed: 0
unplaced: 11
+/- to advised stakes: -13pts

well that just about wraps everything up & hopefully we can kick on from here for the month.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

Sunday 4 November 2012

4/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well how agonising was today!! the nap suffering the fate of all good e/w shots finishing a fast finishing fourth but alas no return.. :-( so we'll move onto tomorrow with instilled hope & excitement!!!lol :-)

ODD BALL 3.55 WOLVERHAMPTON (NAP)

now the a/w can be a good source of income over the winter months so i'll be keeping one eye on the action during the NH season & i think i might have found one here.he gets in here off 55,a pound below his last winning mark over this C&D back in march & since then has been campaigned over different trips & grades whilst his handicap mark has slipped & it cant be coincidence that now his mark has slipped to a workable one again he's now put back to his last winning grade & distance by this shrewd stable & the booking of amy ryan is a big plus as she's going all out for winners in her quest for the apprentice jockeys title.
2pts e/w @ 16/1 (bet365)

I NEED A HERO 2.05 KEMPTON (NB)

i think this one's on a decent mark but it's imperitive that he doesn't encounter soft ground as he's far more at home on a decent surface but judging by the weather forecast & the current going i think he might just get away with it.it goes without saying that if there's a monsoon in the kempton area then swerve it but as i am writing the blog the night before i think it only fair i put this warning up & i'll just take it on the chin as far as our points balance is concerned.
2pts e/w @ 20/1 (william hill)

GORING ONE 3.30 PLUMPTON

this is another one that i think has slipped to a winable mark & has also had a prep run already this season to blow the cobwebs away which is a massive bonus at this time of year.jockey andrew thornton gets on particularly well with him& the partnership can make all at a track where he's performed well in the past.
4pts win @ 4/1 (paddy power)

well after todays near miss our monthly standings read...

selections: 10
winners: 1
placed: 0
unplaced: 9
+/- to advised stakes: -5pts

at first look it doesn't read to well...but trust me after the second & third looks it still isn't good enough!!!! touchwood i can start to put that right tomorrow & we can go on from there.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!

Saturday 3 November 2012

3/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well raya star gave us some welcome respite today gang, battling like a lion to take the honours under what i thought was a fantastically well judged ride & i doff my cap to the jockey as i'm quick to slag when they make a mistake.a quite day tomorrow after the hustle & bustle of a saturday & the breeders cup but here are my thoughts..

WORTH A KINGS 3.45 CARLISLE (NAP)

Diane sayers gelding can make a welcome return to the winners enclosure now he's back on his favourable mark.three times since the turn of the year he has dropped to a mark in the low 80's in a C5 race & they have resulted in two victories & a runners up spot!! :-) you can forget his runs in C4 races as he's simply not good enough but this is his grade, his trip & his mark...and we'll lump on thankyou kindly mr bookmaker!!
2pts e/w 16/1 (bet victor)

after todays results our monthly standings are...

total selections: 9
winners: 1
placed: 0
unplaced: 8
+/- to advised stakes: -1pt

well at least we've pulled back the big negative on the points balance thanks to raya stars win but i must say im disappointed at the shorter priced selections today as either they weren't fit enough or you can throw the form book out the window!! i think minimal stakes are in order for the time being until we have some firm form to go on but i'm alot happier today than i was yesterday!! :-) as always many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

ian

2/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well what a load of bollox yesterday was,our first foray into the NH arena proving less than fruitful to be honest & the sooner i move onto today the better!!! :-( now i said i was changing things around slightly so now i will be targeting a race & providing what i think are a lay, back & a trade so here goes...

3.25 WETHERBY BET365 CHARLIE HALL CHASE (G2)

i'm concentrating on what seems to be the centrepiece of todays NH card & could turn out to be a cracker.only six go to post but all have won over the trip but no one seems to have a fitness edge so we are batting tad blind in all fairness.you'll remember how i said in earlier posts about fitness & theres nothing worse than lumping on something only to look in the paddock & it be the size of a prize bull! the highest rated in the field is MIDNIGHT CHASE and he's our back selection.dougie costello gets on very well with neil mulhollands gelding & the pair can make a winning seasonal debut i think.hes appeared in the last two cheltenham gold cups & is a real class act,we do have to take a bit of a leap of faith fitness wise but at this stage of the season i think that comment will be banded around alot during the next six weeks.he has G2 winning form in the bag & i think he'll have far to many guns for the paul nicholls trained favourite SILVINIACO CONTI.now im not totally convinced the nicholls inmate wants this trip in all fairness & off his current BHA rating of 156 he has a couple of pound to find with at least two of todays field.on a saturday the nicholls runners seem to be far shorter than they should be & this is a prime example.hes just completed his novice season over the larger obstacles & picked up a couple of weak G2's in the process but when the gun was put to his head at the top level he failed & we'll be quite happy to take him on at the forecast prices.now when you look at the context of the race it seems pretty much a given that MIDNIGHT CHASE will get an uncontested lead with the others dropping in off the pace with the exception of TIME FOR RUPERT who may well be up with the early pace.both these horses would be an ideal trade as i think at some stage they are both going to trade shorter than there BSP (betfair starting price).

BACK:
2pts e/w MIDNIGHT CHASE (NAP)
LAY:
SILVINIACO CONTI

the other blog bets for today are...

3pts win BABY SHINE 2.15 ASCOT
2pt e/w RAYA STAR 2.35 ASCOT
4pts win SMAD PLACE 2.50

here are our current standings after yesterday...

total selections: 5
winners: 0
placed: 0
unplaced: 5
+/- to advised stakes: -10pts

well it looks like a tale of woe rather than a tale of the tape to be honest but no one said it would be easy!! the thing is & what people fail to realise is that by backing horses what you are trying to do is predict the future, not the easiest of tasks i must say!! stick with it & the tide will turn is what my late grandfather used to say but i must admit theres been a few times when ive looked upto the stars this past month waiting for divine inspiration pops!! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money today. :-)

Thursday 1 November 2012

1/11/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well a bitter sweet day today turned out to be,the nap being withdrawn & then the nb pulling far to hard to get competitive.however upon the withdrawl of the nap i turned my attentions to haamaat.i'm not one for after timing but if you check my tweets you'll see i changed my @tweetnap to this this morning but i just simply didnt have time to write another blog which is why i didnt fill my twitter feed with excitement but i know a few followers seen the move & got on but the facts are for blog purposes we've had one runner & one loser so lets try & put that right so onto tomorrows thoughts...

QUSHCHI 2.10 NEWMARKET (NAP)

this newmarket specialist can get her head back in front tomorrow now she's back to a winning mark.i also think 12f is her optimum trip & is most effective in the grade although i think her best run this season was when touched off by the progressive caravan rolls on in a C2 off a mark of 88,the ease in grade today should be enough to see her get her head back in front at her favourite course.
1pt e/w @ 14/1 (william hill)

AMAZING STAR 1.50 UTTOXETER (NB)

this is another who i think is on a workable mark & can make his presence felt here.he's fit from the flat & is a C&D scorer who is only a pound above his last winning mark under this code & we'll take him to bag us some valued points today.
1pt win @ 5/1 (bet365)

LITTLE CARMELA 2.55 UTTOXETER

this is yet another C&D scorer who i think will go well at a nice price.she does have recent form with wild rhubarb enjoying a 9lb pull for a just over 5l defeat & can turn the tables on that rival tomorrow at a course where her record reads 1-2-3 from three attempts.
1pt e/w @ 14/1 (paddy power)

MISTER WISEMAN 3.30 UTTOXETER

now we have got to take a bit of a leap of faith with this one but at the forecast prices i think he'll be worth a punt.his course record over fences reads 2-1-4-1-1 and on that alone is worth a dabble & twice in the past he's won when coming back from a break.
1pt e/w @ 16/1 (bet victor)

well thats a total of 7pts staked on four selections & i'll be back tomorrow evening with the stats on how we've done.after todays non-runner there's just the one selection to record so here's how we stand after today...

total selections: 1
winners: 0
placed: 0
unplaced: 1
strike rate: 0%
+/- to advised stakes: -3pts

i know it looks a bit daft but if we're going to target a regular monthly profit then we may as well start out as we mean to go on & have things organised!! :-) the target is to turn a regular monthly profit from our advised stakes at a decent strike rate..not to much to ask is it!?!?lol as always many thanks for taking the time to read my new look blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)
