31/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! what a crock of shit today was, no excuses from these quarters as im not going to try & make excuses for my own shortcomings, quite simply not good enough.i am however going to change things around slightly from now on though.im going to reset our points balance to zero (well its nearly there anyway!lol)
for the new month & im going to record it on a month by month basis from now on, recording a points total to advised bets & also recording our strike rate and hopefully we can show a consistent monthly profit!! :-).well socks up & head first into the trenches so here are tomorrows thoughts..

UNDERSTORY 3.50 LINGFIELD (NAP)

this interests me greatly tomorrow as you can forget anything he's done on turf recently as he absolutly hates it but get him on the polytrack & he's a different cattle of fish.in fact his last two winning marks have both been in the early seventies & he returns to that tomorrow as well as going over what i think is his optimum trip & in the right grade at the forecast odds he is immense value to be honest & hopefully he can get our month off to a flyer!!
1pt e/w @ 25/1 (bet365)

MOONES MY NAME 2.50 LINGFIELD (NB)

now i know this isn't the most original of selections but we are doing this to make money & show a profit so i believe we shouldn't pass her over tomorrow.shes been placed three times at this level already this season & can gain a nice reward for her consistency here.in all fairness this isn't the strongest listed race in the world & if shes ever going to make the step up from handicap company then it should be here to be honest as the opposition isn't alot stronger than the handicap she won last time out in all fairness.
3pts win @ 85/40 (bet victor)

so that concludes our first selections of the new blog & i will record the results & post them every evening.there will also be two new sections added to the blog in the forthcoming weeks, i will be putting up our daily lays again & i will also be adding a trading post section where i will list the recommended daily trades & advices, im not sure how i'll calculate that though to be honest & when i've worked it out i will add the relevant sections.all thats left is to thank you all for taking the time & trouble to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow! :-)

30/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well these are trechorous times at mallard towers folks, winners are thin on the ground & things are not running as they should & others that are performing like there on bloody kryptonite!! i know i said its silly season but this is ridiculous..and ive now had my last bet of the current flat season so i'll now be concentrating solely on the NH & A/W but what annoys me most is that for the last two days ive made fundamental mistakes regarding the draw & thats not good enough to be honest as i would like to think im experienced enough to look into theses things thoroughly but shit happens & here are tomorrows thoughts...

ELSIES ORPHAN 2.40 LINGFIELD (NAP)

this is very interesting for the fact that she returns to the same trip, grade & mark that resulted in her last win & i think theres every chance of a repeat tomorrow.now i know that was at the end of her 3-y-o career but shes now had a couple of runs to blow the cobwebs away this season & the booking of george baker round lingfield is certainly no drawback in my opinion & we'll take her to steady the good ship mallard tomorrow.
1pt E/W @ 25/1 (bet365)

MEANDMYSHADOW 1.30 LINGFIELD (NB)

this is another filly that i think will have optimum conditions in her favour tomorrow & can keep the #teamchoochoo ball rolling.she ran an excellent race off a pound higher mark over this trip & grade
three runs back & has had valid excuses for her last two defeats (trip & class) but we do have to take it on trust that she'll handle the surface but on breeding theres every chance.
1pt E/W @ 10/1 (bet victor)

SPIRIT OF GONDREE 3.10 LINGFIELD

well this one looks sent from the gods in my opinion, back on its last winning mark over C&D and valid excuses in his last five runs ranging from grade, trip & track and i see absolutly no reason whatsoever why he cant repeat his run from june as everything is in place for a repeat performance.
1pt E/W @ 8/1 (bet365)

well after todays disaster we sit on a paltry +3pts overall after deducting tomorrows stakes but i'll be changing things slightly at the end of the month, rather than keep an ongoing points total i will be resetting it to zero & starting the month from scratch & will be keeping a level stakes profit/loss for the month & also recording our strike rate for advised selections for the month so followers can get a better idea on how w'ere doing.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog even if it is starting to read like the script of a horror movie!! :-/ but as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

29/12/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well we're getting closer!! :-) the nap running a sound race being placed @ a tasty 12/1 to give us an even day but nothing to get excited about in all fairness.the ground has been like glue at most of the northern track's the past week & alot of the southern one's as well to be honest which tend's to throw up silly result's but we wont be disheartened as the search for winner's continues so here are tomorrow's thought's...

KLYNCH 1.50 CATTERICK (NAP)

well lets get stuck into this tomorrow now he's back in the right grade, since his last win all of his run's have been at a higher grade than C4 & the drop in class can work the oracle i think.he's now 4lb below his last winning mark in theory as although that success was off a mark of 82 he was carrying a 6lb penalty that day, giving him a mark of 88 technically.he also returns to 7f which i think he prefer's these day's with some give underfoot he's a confident nap.
1pt E/W @ 16/1 (william hill)

POLISH WORLD 2.20 CATTERICK (NB)

this is another one who look's particularly well handicapped tomorrow & can take advantage of a slipping mark.he's now 3lb below his last winning mark & can make all here.he ran a blinder in fourth behind fieldgunner kirkup when we napped him in september off a 3lb higher mark & i'm confident he can hang on tomorrow under his favourite trip & back in the right grade.
1pt E/W @ 16/1 (paddy power)

CHOC'A'MOCA 4.20 CATTERICK

we turn to micky fenton again here & hopefully he can land the treble for us!! :-/ he's now only a pound above his last winning mark
and get's the plum draw in the one box here so i think this speedster
can jump out, grab the rail & pull away tomorrow at a course where he's won at & been placed on numerous occasion's.
1pt E/W @ 16/1 (bet365)

well after level pegging today we sit back on an overnight balance of +9pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's.there's a couple of other thing's that i like tomorrow most notably eastlake over the stick's at taunton & i also think mohawk ridge will run well in the staying contest at catterick.follower's who are interested in recieving the #teamchoochoo daily e-mail pointer's list simply drop me an e-mail at im1973@hotmail.co.uk & i'll be happy to forward the detail's.
as alway's many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

28/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well i have to say a most disappointing run from the nap today, folding like a pack of cards in all fairness but then again it is what alot of people call "silly season" and in all fairness there's not alot that would surprise me result wise at the minute.i'm certainly not making excuse's as i thought it would certainly run alot better than it did but here are tomorrow's thought's...

PRINCE JAMES 4.10 REDCAR (NAP)

mick easterby gelding come's here on his last winning mark & i think the stable could have a real hit at this tomorrow.david simmonson take's the ride & he rode him to his last victory which is a great help in these apprentice event's & he also seem's to like some give underfoot which will be imperative in my opinion.at first look you may say the trip is a problem but he's been primarily campaigned at 5f & the last time he ran over 6f was when runner up over this C&D off this mark & in this class so the sign's are there for all to see to be honest.
1pt E/W @ 12/1 (bet365)

NORTHERN BOLT 3.40 REDCAR (NB)

well for our NB bet of the day we turn to an old friend of the blog, good old northern bolt who we napped last time out at a tasty 8/1.now i think it's very simple with him, same trip, same ground & a 3lb increase, the question is,can he cope with extra weight?? i think he will as he found extra last time when under pressure & he could well run up a sequence in this ground.
1pt E/W @ 6/1 (bet365)

theres a couple of other things that i like tomorrow including lindoro in the amateurs race at leicester & river d'or over the sticks at bangor.e-mail subscribers will be pleased to hear that we have already raised £67.00 for our chosen charities this month, the injured jockeys fund & the moorcroft centre, both very admiral causes.anybody wanting information on the daily e-mail simply mail me at im1973@hotmail.co.uk & i will be happy to help.after deducting tomorrows stakes we sit on +11pts with our advised bets so we need to start finding a few winners to be honest so hopefully we can kick on from here.that just about wrap's up tomorrow for me so as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting! :-)

27/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well how frustrating was today, firstly the nap getting drawn on the complete wrong side & was all over after 2f & the nb getting out-battled by a bird going down in a final furlong dog fight but at least we're a bit nearer the mark now so here are tomorrow's thought's...

CASPERS SHADOW 3.05 WINCANTON (NAP)

well the NH season has really stepped up a couple of notches this past week & its now time to start getting involved i think.this fella's had a couple of spins in C4 company since his last win which has seen his handicap mark fall to his last winning one which is even better as he's already had a spin round to blow the cobwebs away 18 days ago so should be primed to the minute here.to be honest this will be my first "decent" bet of the current NH campaign and touchwood it's a winning one!! :-)
1pt E/W @ 16/1 (bet365)

well after today's frustration's we sit on an overnight balance of +15pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's but i have to say i'm really strong on this tomorrow so hopefully we'll start to surge on.
i also like special agent alfie tomorrow at wincanton but the lack of a previous run puts me off going in head first but i will be having a small investment.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

26/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well today threw up far more questions than answers to be honest with the nap not really showing but at the same time it was a strange race.trying to second guess certain stables can be a perilous thing to do & the williams stable is one of them im afraid.enough of the doom & gloom so here are tomorrows thoughts...

DUNGANNON 2.30 DONCASTER (NAP)

Ian baldings admirable gelding can gain his first win of the season tomorrow as he comes here on his last winning mark & has also won here at donny.he does have a favouring for ascot i must admit but he should be good enough here under his favourite underfoot conditions.i think its a spin of a coin wether he prefers five or six furlongs but is very consistent at either trip & we'll take him to get our afternoon off to a flyer.
1pt E/W @ 11/1 (paddy power)

NOBLE MISSION 2.45 NEWBURY (NB)

I know that this isn't the most original of selections but i couldn't let him pass now he's back in a G3.with a bit of luck now that his famous elder brother has retired henry cecil's colt might just get the recognition he deserves after an admirable campaign at group level & take this prize tomorrow.now i must admit he's not without his quirks which seems to be somewhat of a family trait but there is one deciding factor that i have to point out.up until his last run he was most progressive this season picking up a decent G3 & being placed in some really strong G2's but the thing is all his runs prior to his last one where with the hood on & for some reason only known to sir henry they left it off last time & he pulled like a bison so the fact he got as close as he did was testament to him.needless to say the hood is back on tomorrow & i expect him to continue his progression nicely.
3pts WIN @ 4/1 (william hill)

TEPMOKEA 2.00 DONCASTER

I couldnt let this fella pass today without giving him a mention.with his jockeys claim he races off a mark of 86 which should make him competitive but more importantly i think he'll get a very easy lead
today & could quite easily slip this field at a massive price.
0.5pts E/W @ 40/1 (widely available)

well after today our points balance sits at +17pts after deducting tomorrows stakes but hopefully i'll be back here tomorrow night with a smile on my face as i really fancy these two to be honest.
the only other race that really interests me tomorrow is the racing post trophy as aiden o'brien had something like six runners declared then supplemented one...and the only one that runs is the supplemented one!! hmmmm... take from that what you will folks but if it wins no doubt it will go into the winter as a very warm order at the head of the classic betting.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Thursday 25 October 2012

25/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well the nap got touched off today but did run a very good race but the details are.. no return! and thats what counts at the end of the day so no excuses here but the quest for winners goes on so here are tomorrows thoughts...

SIM SALA BIM 5.00 DONCASTER (NAP)

this lovely looking grey colt is back in the right grade after a couple of spins in C4 company & can return to the winners enclosure tomorrow.he won off a 3lb lower mark back in june & then backed that run up under a 6lb penalty being placed off a mark of technically 73 so tomorrows rating of 70 should hold no fears for this son of act one who also likes some give underfoot & we'll take him to continue the #teamchoochoo comeback tomorrow.
2pts E/W @ 7/1 (bet victor)

i must admit ive only covered the doncaster card upto now owing to a family emergency so will be doing the NH fixtures in the morning so i think i may write another blog tomorrow with my findings.our points balance sits at +23pts after deducting tomorrows stakes & as always many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting! :-)

Wednesday 24 October 2012

24/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well its steak & chips tonight at mallard towers as today's nap broke the dreaded barren spell & went in at a belting 9/1!! it was a terrificely game effort from both horse & jockey and i'll certainly be toasting ryan moore with a large scotch & a king ted later! enough droning on as we all know we're only as good as our last winner & the time has come to switch code's to the NH season i feel.we'll keep stake's to a minimum for a start until we have some firm form to go on but here are my thought's on tomorrow's card's...

VAMIZI 3.55 CARLISLE (NAP)

Lucinda Russell's charge come's here for his seasonal reappearance & can get our NH campaign off to a flyer.he took the betfair qualifier off a 5lb lower mark here in march & has quite progressive form for a 9-y-o to be honest & his course form read's.. 2-2-1-3 so clearly love's it here.whilst he hasn't won after a long absence he has run some very smart race's first time up including a third at newbury off a higher mark & filling the runners up spot here at carlisle behind horsham lad.both performance's would be good enough to take this prize tomorrow.
2pts WIN @ 7/2 (bet365)

there are quite a few other thing's that i like tomorrow although fitness has to be taken on trust with most of them so i'm quite happy to take a watching brief at the minute rather than weighing in on something that's the size of a house in the paddock!! i will be stepping up my interest in the NH scene as the day's go by so we will have more than just the one selection daily but as far as tomorrow goes this is the only thing that i would put any monetry value to.after today's winner & deducting tomorrow's stake we have an overnight point's balance of +29pts & this is pure profit remember as we paid back the "mythical" overdraft that we had a few week's back (new follower's please check previous post's).many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & i hope i have repaid some of the faith shown today!! take care & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

23/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well im not really sure where to start to be honest... the nap being backed from 16/1 last night into 11/2 and... nearer last than first... AGAIN!! :-/ no excuses here but i am starting to get a tad worried but the quest goes on so here are tomorrow's thought's...

NUMERAL 8.50 KEMPTON (NAP)

Richard Hannon's gelding come's here a couple of pound's above his last winning mark & can make his prsence felt here.he had a run round a couple of week's ago to blow away the cobweb's & this C&D scorer should be alot sharper tomorrow with ryan moore in the saddle & we'll take him to get the good ship mallard back on an even keel.
1pt E/W @ 10/1 (widely available)

at first glance it look's quite a tough day tomorrow with two jump's meeting's & a very tricky newmarket flat card imo so stake's will be at a minimum until we've got some firm form to go on over the stick's.many thank's for taking the time to read my horror show of a blog & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money as it is a very tough time of year punting wise.

22/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well the famine goes on i'm afraid folk's & you wont get get any excuse's here just honesty & the socks have well & truly got to be pulled up is the honest answer as the past week simply hasn't been good enough but we'll soldier on as every bad run has to come to an end sooner or later so here are tomorrow's thought's...

FLASHBANG 4.30 LINGFIELD (NAP)

Paul Cole's filly come's here on her last winning mark & can make a welcome return to the winner's enclosure for follower's.she's by a/w super sire dubawi & clearly prefer's the synthetic surface to turf having yet to win on grass but recording three victories on the dirt from eleven attempt's.neil callan take's the ride & there's no one better round the tight turn's of lingfield in my opinion & please god can he get us back on track tomorrow!!!
1.5pts E/W @ 16/1 (betfred)

SPIN AGAIN 5.20 YARMOUTH (NB)

this is another that come's into his race on his last winning mark & hopefully he'll give us a tasty double on the day.there is a question mark over the ground but in all fairness that could be said for most of the field but there is every hope on breeding that he can take advantage of his lower turf mark at a course where he's already won at & we'll take a chance on him at a decent price.
1pt E/W @ 12/1 (bet365)

i've had my head in the form book all day today trying to end this drought & there are a whole host of other thing's that i like including mafi in the 5.30 & mac gille eoin in the 5.00 who i think will both go well at fancy price's.after the battering we've took this past week our point's balance still sit's at +20pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog even if it has read like a horror story for the past week but touchwood i can bring a bit of "mill's & boon" back into our live's tomorrow!! lol :-) as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

21/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well we're back & hopefully with a bang after a 24hr break to freshen up after a truly horrid week on the betting front if im honest.we'll take it on the chin though as i'm quick to shout when we get a 33/1 winner so i'm man enough to admit i've made a few bad call's this last week but touchwood i think i've found a few decent thing's tomorrow so here are my thought's...

BLACKSTONE VEGAS 4.20 PONTEFRACT (NAP)

Derek shaw's gelding get's the vote over this marathon trip of nearly 2m 2f which seem's to bring out the best in him.he took a C4 contest here back in june off a 3lb lower mark & the drop to a C5 can work the oracle imo.more importantly he return's to some ground with some give underfoot as he simply hate's it with firm in the going title,in fact the nearest he's got when there's been firm in the going title is a 6l beating which tell's you evrything really & joe fanning take's back over the reign's tomorrow which is also a massive plus & we'll take him to get us back on track tomorrow.
1pt E/W @ 9/1 (bet365)

TREND IS MY FRIEND 4.50 PONTEFRACT (NB)

Amanda perrett's 3-y-o can take advantage of a drop back in trip here & can get back in the winner's enclosure at a decent price tomorrow.he has struggled some what over longer distance's since his last victory & clearly doesn't stay further than the ten furlong's he tackles tomorrow & the booking of kieran fallon catches the eye i have to say.he'll handle the underfoot condition's no problem & can get back to winning way's here.
1pt E/W @ 10/1 (paddy power)

NOODLES BLUE BOY 3.20 PONTEFRACT

the third & final selection is good old noodles who has been a previous blog nap & must surely get his head back in front tomorrow off this mark if he's ever going to.he's now 4lb below his last winning mark & showed up well in a C3 lto to show us he still retain's a modicum of ability & we just couldn't let him go by without putting him up as a selection.
0.5pts E/W @ 10/1 (ladbrokes)

well that just about conclude's my thought's on tomorrow's racing & touchwood the tide will turn!! :-) our point's balance has taken a bit of a hammering this last week but we still sit on +25pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Friday 19 October 2012

19/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well to be honest i'll be more than happy to see the back of this week, been absolutly atrotious on the betting front to be fair & we're in desperate need of a winner....cue: BRITISH CHAMPIONS DAY! :-) and it really is deserving of the name in my opinion headed by horse racing's answer to lionel messi... FRANKEL!! takes centre stage at ascot & i'll be concentrating on that further along in the blog but we'll start with the nap which goes at catterick & here are my thought's...

PONTY ACCLAIM 2.50 CATTERICK (NAP)

tim easterby's filly finally get's into handicap company again & can take advantage of a workable mark.she ran a blinder lto behind a 104 & 105 rated pair of animal's & that put's her bang there tomorrow.more importantly she showed she handles plenty of cut which is imperitive to the cause & she get's the plum draw in the one box as well.she's actually only had the one run in handicap company in her entire career & was by no means disgraced finishing 2l behind tax free off a 5lb higher mark than she race's off tomorrow & all thing's considered is a confident nap tomorrow.
1.5pts E/W @ 13/2 (william hill)

SIDE GLANCE 3.30 ASCOT (NB)

so onto the main event & ascot's champion's day and i think Ian balding's game old warrior can gain ample reward for a consistent campaign here at his beloved ascot.he has ran some absolute blinder's in defeat this season behind the like's of sri putra, dubai prince & the mighty frankel.his third in the queen anne stakes is the race im going to concentrate on though as although he finished a neck behind tomorrow's likely favourite excelebration it was the softest ground he'd raced on this year & i think the softer the better for him & at the forecast prices is some serious value to turn the fav over tomorrow in my opinion.
1pt E/W @ 25/1 (widely available)

the three other thing's that i fancy tomorrow at the champion's day fixture are...

OPINION POLL 1.45
i think saeed bin suroor's stable are starting to fire again & this grand campaigner can stamp his class on this.

GREAT HEAVENS 2.55
John gosden's filly ran a cracker in the arc last weekend & will certainly benefit from underfoot conditions & make her presence felt in this female cracker of a contest.

MAAREK 2.20
very consistent irish sprinter who can make the step up in grade
on the forecast going.

well that just about conclude's my thought's on tomorrow's racing & i think we all hope that we'll be toasting a glittering end to the racing career of frankel tomorrow evening...or will we?? i'll leave that little teaser of a question for you to work out for yourselves!! our bank sit's on an overnight balance of +30pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's but as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

18/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well another placed effort giving us yet another profitable day but it really is getting frustrating i have to admit!! the card's have got to drop for us soon so onto tomorrow's thought's...

JUSTONEFORTHEROAD 4.45 HAYDOCK (NAP)

richard fahey's gelding get's a welcome drop in grade tomorrow & can make a return to the winner's enclosure.in fact three out of his last four run's have come in "heritage handicaps" so this C3 grade will be a welcome relief to him & the talented apprentice george challoner take's a valuable 7lb off his back & i think that could turn out to be crucial in my opinion.he amazingly find's himself a massive 7lb below his last winning mark plus his young apprentice's claim means he could well turn out to be about a stone "well in" tomorrow.now i know thing's never turn out that way but that's a hell of alot of weight to be playing with considering he now drops back into his last winning grade but he might just need it to get home in this ground but all thing's considered he has to be nap material in my opinion as we know he handle's some cut which is more than can be said for some of his rival's.
1.5pts E/W @ 25/1 (ladbrokes)

well after today's near miss our bank sit's at an impressive +35pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's & please god i'll be back tomorrow night with some good news!! :-) i have to admit there's not alot else that i fancy tomorrow but i haven't done the wolverhampton card yet so will tweet a "blog update" if anything catches my eye.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

17/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well thing's are starting to get a tad serious now folk's,winner urgently required here at mallard tower's! :-(
the nap running a respectable race but no more in all fairness but we'll soldier on & the quest for winner's take's us to the all weather for the first time this year with the national hunt season now starting to kick in.

IRIE UTE 5.35 WOLVERHAMPTON (NAP)

sylvester kirk's gelding come's here only a pound above his last winning mark over C&D in may & can return to the winner's enclosure tomorrow.he's been tried at 6/7f mainly since his last win & he's alot happier over tomorrow's trip in my opinion & does like it round here having also landed a couple of decent placed effort's so we'll take him to get us back on track tomorrow.
2.5pts E/W @ 10/1 (bet365)

well after another blank today & deducting tomorrow's stake's our point's balance sit's on +30pts (pure profit).there's not alot else that get's me excited tomorrow & i think everything's now geared upto british champion's day & frankel's swansong on saturday to be honest.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

16/12/2012

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to get excited about today guy's the nap very disappointing & the nb falling foul of the north east weather im afraid with the abandonment of newcastle but chin up & onward's we march so here are tomorrow's thought's...

STAND TO REASON 3.15 NOTTINGHAM (NAP)

this very progressive 4-y-o can gain some nice compensation here tomorrow for some cracking run's this season & we'll take him to get us back on track.the standout for me being his placing in the john smith's cup up at york off the same mark that he race's off tomorrow, just over 4 length's behind the now 101 rated king's warrior.the two race's that he didn't fire in this season where both over 12f & i dont believe he stay's beyond tomorrow's 10f trip which seem's to suit him down to the ground.he's shown us on more than a couple of occasion's that he handle's some give underfoot most notabley when scoring nicely on his seasonal bow at newbury & tick's all the right boxes for a confident nap.
1.5pts E/W @ 16/1 (paddy power)

well after today's non runner & the dismal performance of the nap we sit on an overnight balance of +35pts (pure profit) after deducting tomorrow's stake's.i must admit i've only covered the nottingham card upto now but if i come across anything else of interest in the morning i'll tweet a "blog update".as alway's many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & good luck whatever you decide for your money tomorrow. :-)

15/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! not the best day in all fairness, the nap not really coming upto expectation's & finding just the one winner amongst the other selection's but the quest for winner's goes on so here are tomorrow's thought's...

AMAZING BLUE SKY 5.10 LEICESTER (NAP)

ruth carr's gelding finally get's back into the right grade tomorrow & can reward follower's at a nice price.he's been campaigned in C4 race's since his last victory & he simply isn't good enough but in the right grade he's a very decent tool.he also showed he handle's some give underfoot when winning over trip & grade off a 3lb higher mark than he race's off here at haydock in june.james sullivan get's on particularly well with him & has been on board for his last three victory's & we'll take him to get our lad home in front tomorrow.
1pt E/W @ 33/1 (ladbrokes)

JUPITER FIDIUS 4.00 NEWCASTLE (NB)

this gelding get's in here on his last winning mark & can get his head back in front tomorrow.gemma tutty take's the ride & is well worth her 7lb claim.personally i dont think he stay's a true run mile & is far better over this 7f trip with some give underfoot which is exactly what he'll get tomorrow.alot of these older horse's have a ceiling limit that they can win at & as long as you can find each horse's ceiling then your laughing!! :-) certain horse's just can't win in a certain grade & once dropped into the right company they look like a different animal & touchwood both selection's come under this banner tomorrow.
1pt E/W @ 12/1 (bet365)

0.5pt E/W double

well after today's blank & deducting tomorrow's stake's our bank balance stand's at +35pts (pure profit) and hopefully i'll be back here tomorrow with some good news!! there's a couple of other thing's that interest me tomorrow including edgeworth in the 5.40 at leicester & flameoftheforest in the 4.30 at newcastle who both should go well at decent price's & could make a nice lucky 15!! :-)
many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

14/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!!! well another woodwork bashing today guy's im afraid, the nap sneaking a place @ a tasty 16/1 to inch us into profit for the day but that was about as good as it got really so onto tomorrow & here are my thought's...

POWERFUL PRESENCE 2.40 MUSSELBURGH (NAP)

david o'meara's gelding take's a welcome drop in grade tomorrow & can make his presence well & truly felt in this company.since his last win he's primarily been campaigned in C2's over 6f but all his better form is over tomorrow's trip of 7f.he did prove he handle's some cut tho when just under 2 length's behind caranbola at ripon off a 4lb higher mark than he race's off here.his record over 7f in C3 race's & higher is pretty amazing in fact as it read's.. 1-1-2-2-1-1-1 and on the back of that he's a very confident nap tomorrow :-)
1.5pts E/W @ 16/1 (bet victor)

well after today's near miss our point's balance sit's at a very healthy +43pts (pure profit) deducting tomorrow's stake's leave's us on an overnight balance of a very healthy looking +40pts.there are a whole host of other thing's that i like tomorrow & here they are..

ITLAAQ 3.15 MUSS
another one who can take advantage of a drop in grade here.

CAPTAIN ROYALE 3.45 MUSS
finally get's back in the right grade & trip.

MERCER'S ROW 4.20 MUSS
decent apprentice on board who can take advantage of her claim.

ROTHESAY DANCER 4.50 MUSS
C&D winner who again is back in the right grade.

WOOLFALL TREASURE 5.00 SALS
should outclass these off a decent mark.

that just about conclude's my thought's on tomorrow's racing, quite competitive stuff for a monday to be honest which make's a pleasant change.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

13/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well bloody unlucky today to be honest the nap only sucumbing in the final half a furlong to deny us a bumper payout but landed the e/w money to make it a winning day.couldnt of asked anymore from michael hills as he rode a fine race from the front but alas was not meant to be.onto tomorrow & here are my thought's..

TAKE IT TO THE MAX 5.25 GOODWOOD (NAP)

richard fahey's gelding drop's back into a C4 for the first time since his last win & can capitalize tomorrow.he's now only a pound higher than his last winning mark again owing to being set some very difficult target's in C2 race's & will find this alot easier against these.stable jockey paul hanagan is claimed to ride the maktoum runner but george baker is a more than able deputy & all seem's set for a massive run tomorrow.
1pt E/W @ 16/1 (william hill)

FARLOW 3.45 GOODWOOD (NB)

raiph beckett's gelding get's a welcome drop in class & can get back in the winner's enclosure under seb sander's tomorrow.he also like's a bit of cut in the ground & is only 3lb above his last winning mark.the ground was far to quick for him last time out but prior to that ran a decent race behind shropshire at ascot & all seem's set for a big run tomorrow.
0.5pt E/W @ 16/1 (betfred)

0.5pt E/W double

after today's near miss our bank sit's at a very healthy +42pts (pure profit) after deducting tomorrow's stake's we sit on an overnight balance of +38pts.i've only covered the one meeting tomorrow & there's nothing else that take's my fancy apart from these two on a quite sunday on the betting front after the chaos of the arc weekend.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow. :-)

12/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to shout about today guy's if anything very disappointing following the euphoria of the previous day but the quest for winner's goes on & there's some cracking racing tomorrow so let's get stuck in...

RED JAZZ 1.50 NEWMARKET (NAP)

charlie hills' charge finally get's some cut in the ground & can reward follower's tomorrow.i'm quite surprised to see in the sporting life write up that he's out of form but i dont think this is true.he blatantly doesn't stay a mile & hate's fast ground so you can forget those run's & one of them was behind frankel so i dont have to go any further on that one but i do believe his ideal trip is this intermidiate 7f with some cut & if you look down his form he's only raced twice over 7f with soft in the going title & guess what?? TWO WINS!! he'll do for us & is a confident nap tomorrow.
2.5pts E/W @ 9/1 (widely available)

after deducting tomorrow's stake's our overnight balance sit's on +35pts (pure profit) after drawing a blank today.there's a whole host of good racing around the country & up at york i think hazelrigg's on a nice mark & the easterby horse colonel mak can take advantage of a drop in class & i also think hurricane higgins will appreciate the drop back into h'cap company & can take the cesarewitch.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow. :-)

Thursday 11 October 2012

11/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well a bit of a downer today turned out to be,the nap being withdrawn mid-morning & that was the end of the involvement for the day for me im afraid but the quest for winner's goes on & here are tomorrow's thought's...

VAIN GLORY 3.05 YORK (NAP)

this david simcock trained entire return's to the scene of his last victory on this day 12 month's ago & can get back in the winner's enclosure on a pound lower mark here tomorrow.lolly pike is back in the saddle & again take's a valuable 5lbs off his back & that can prove crucial in this tight h'cap.he has ran a couple of decent race's this term with some cut in the ground most notably when running mull of killough to a length off 92 at newmarket in july & he hasn't really had ground to suit since & can make it pay now.he's also been dropped a couple of pound's in the h'cap since his last run & i think all the component's are in place for a big run on the knavesmire tomorrow.
2pts E/W @ 10/1 (widely available)

after today's non-runner our bank now sit's at +40pts (profit) again after deducting tomorrow's stake's.i also like the look of charlie hills' model pupil in the condition's race at york,i think he bring's by far & away the best form on offer to the table but his recent lay off meant i didn't put him up as a blog selection.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

10/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!!! and BBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM what an
evening it is after our nap thundered home under tom queally at a juicy s.p. of 25/1!!! as you all know we're all only as good as our last winner so here are tomorrow's thought's...

THE OSTEOPATH 5.40 AYR (NAP)

this tough gelding come's here on his last winning mark & more importantly get's back in the right grade.he's been campaigned at C3 & C4 level since his win & he's simply not good enough these day's but in his grade he's a tough nut to crack & can get back in the winner's enclosure tomorrow.he need's a bit of cut to show his best & he'll definatly get that and also i dont think he get's a mile and is far more at home over tomorrow's 7f trip.all the component's look in place for a big run tomorrow & he's a confident nap selection.
2pts E/W @ 14/1 (bet victor)

(another reason why i would love this to win is every morning i sit down to read my racing post with my morning coffee i have to endure that smug look of victor chandlers at the bottom of the front page & as there going 14/1 i'd love to shove that smug grin straight back down his throat!!!lol)

well after today's exploit's our "mythical" bank now sit's at a bulging 144pts!!! :-) now here's what we'll do,remember how we "borrowed" 100pts to start us off well we'll now pay that back to our friendly local "mythical bank"!! so we now sit on a position of +40pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's but remember that's pure profit so happy day's all round! as alway's many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & if you like what i've got to say then why not give me a R/T? alternativly if you disagree let me know as im alway's open to some friendly banter! :-) take care & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

9/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well the nap was bitterly disappointing today running no sort of race & i wonder wether the conditions we're a bit to deep for him in hindsight but we'll continue our quest for winner's so here are tomorrow's thought's...

ART SCHOLAR 4.30 NOTTINGHAM (NAP)

not only is this C&D winner only a pound above his last winning mark but there's something else very interesting i've unearthed about him...he's had three run's over 10f in C4 handicap's and guess what... THREE WINS!!! he showed he handle's some cut when winning earlier in the season at doncaster & tom queally get's back aboard tomorrow which is a massive bonus.personally i think his best run of the current campaign was when giving the now 95 rated opinion 3lbs & only going under by two length's in august & that's absolutly stand out against these rival's & we'll take him to get us back on track tomorrow.
2pts E/W @ 20/1 (paddy power)

MAYBEME 5.00 NOTTINGHAM (NB)

this neville bycroft trained mare love's a bit of cut & can get her head back in front tomorrow.she goes very well for apprentice & amateur jockey's & shirley teasdale take's a handy 5lb off her back.
she's back on her last winning mark of 54 & all seem's set for a big run here.there's a couple of improving 3-y-o's in the field but i think she can teach the young pup's a lesson tomorrow & we'll take her to get back in the winning enclosure here.
1pt E/W @ 16/1 (betfred)

just the two selection's tomorrow & there's not alot else that i fancy to be honest with just the one turf flat meeting.our "mythical" bank sit's on an overnight balance of 90pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's & touchwood i'll be back here with good news tomorrow!! as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 8 October 2012

8/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!!!! well nothing to report today guys as our nap was withdrawn mid morning & that was the end of it to be fair, very disappointing but onto tomorrow...

BENNELONG 4.20 BRIGHTON (NAP)

richard rowe's gelding comes here on his last winning mark of 65 & can get us back on track tomorrow.his last four runs have been when upped to C5 so we can forgive him those & he also hasn't had some give underfoot since his last win which he need's to show his best & he'll get that tomorrow.he's had three run's here at brighton resulting in two win's & a place so clearly love's it here & all seem's set for a big run under the very capable darren egan who also claim's a very handy 5lb of his back.his record in C6 race's for his current trainer read's.. 1-1-5-2-1 and on the back of that he's a very confident selection tomorrow.
2pts E/W @ 12/1 (bet365)

not alot else to report but i do also like byrd in hand at brighton who goes very well after a break & can make his mark tomorrow.not much change to our "mythical" bank after today's non-runner & we sit on an overnight balance of 96pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

7/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!!! nothing to shout about today guy's,great heavens gave us a decent run for our money but no more in all fairness but did the runner-up drop his hand's a tad!?!? if he did what price would you put on it?? certainly cause for debate along with the "myth" that is camelot...i think 1m 2f is his trip & next year's eclipse must surely have been penciled in by connection's.
enough waffling & on to tomorrow's thought's...

REE'S RASCAL 5.20 WINDSOR (NAP)

james boyle's tough gelding get's a welcome drop in grade tomorrow & can get us back on track.his profile over a mile in C4 races & below read's... 2-1-1-1-6-2-2-5-2-3-1 now have i got your attention!! :-) giving him a near 40% win s/r & near 90% place s/r over the trip & grade!! he come's here only a pound above his last winning mark, has valid excuse's for his last three run's (all in C3)
is a C&D winner & show's he handle's some cut when running whistle on by close here last june.all add's up to massive run for me & is a confident nap.
2.5pts E/W @ 12/1 (william hill)

not alot of damage done today just surrendering the one point so our "mythical" bank now sit's at 95 point's after deducting tomorrow's stake's.there's a few other thing's i like tomorrow including camache queen at wolverhampton & lady macduff over at pontefract.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

6/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! very unlucky today getting chinned on the line but we live to fight another day! :-) i'll make this short & sweet as it's my birthday & the taxi's booked! one meeting tomorrow,it's all about the arc in paris, here are my thought's...

GREAT HEAVENS 3.25 LONGCHAMP

john gosden's progressive filly get's all the allowance's tomorrow, age, sex even the sodding draw's in her favour!!!lol
so i really can't see past her tbh.lto she stayed longer than the mother in law over in ireland but at the same time she's versatile to tactic's as she has also made the running in the past.young buick remind's me of a modern day steve cauthen when it come's to a tactical ride & those that are old enough to remember slip anchor's derby win will know exactly what i mean!!!!!!! :-) we'll take her to get us back on track in what could turn out to be a very tactical affair.
1pt WIN @ 7/1 (widely available)

well after today's near miss & deducting tomorrow's stake's we sit back on our original "mythical" bank balance of 100pts.to be honest i've only covered the arc tomorrow owing to limited time but the blog will return tomorrow evening back to full service.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

5/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!!!! at last! a winner!!!! joyous celebration's here at mallard tower's but none the less we'll march straight on to tomorrow & here are my thought's...

SOUL 3.05 ASCOT (NAP)

this ex-australian speedster has ran some excellent race's this season, notably when just a length behind another aussie speedball in black caviar over tomorrow's C&D at the royal meeting.he then followed up in a G3 in heavy ground & judging by today's condition's they should be right up his street tomorrow.you can scrub his last two run's as they were over 7f & he clearly doesn't stay & both those run's were in G2's so he'll welcome this slight drop in grade & can get his season back on track tomorrow.
2pts WIN @ 6/1 (william hill)

SONGCRAFT 2.30 ASCOT (NB)

we dip back into the godolphin stable for our second selection tomorrow & this tough gelding can also get his season back on track tomorrow.he's shown us on quite a few occasion's this summer that he's well up to his lofty mark of 107 most notably when a game second to the smart cumani horse quest for peace over this trip at goodwood.this will be his sixth run since returning from dubai & they do tend to improve as the season goes on & i'm sure this isn't the strongest G3 you'll see at ascot to be honest so we'll take him to land us a nice godolphing double.
1pt WIN @ 6/1 (stan james)

well after the victory of biographer today our "mythical" bank now sit's at a very healthy 104pts,deduct 3pts for tomorrow's stake's & we're left with an overnight balance of 101pts.i do also like edinburgh knight in the heritage h'cap but i cant be sure about the going so unfortunatly it didn't make the blog & i also think the sheikh hamdan colt ghurair can start to rebuild his reputation in the big sale's race at newmarket.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

4/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well this is starting to get a bit serious guy's... i've even thought about putting an advert in the local shop... "WINNER REQUIRED!" but every bad run has to come to an end & hopefully we can crack it tomorrow!!!

BIOGRAPHER 4.05 ASCOT (NAP)

this david lanigan trained colt has a most progressive profile & i actually put him up as a selection if you look back through the blog's lto when he ran a fine race behind the progressive gaurantee.he was actually targeted at the st.leger originally which tell's you what high regard he's held in by the stable but it was felt the race might come a bit soon for him & the owner also had michaelangelo in the field so it was a pretty easy decision to swerve but he can gain ample compensation here tomorrow.
2pts WIN @ 4/1 (ladbrokes)

just the one selection tomorrow however titus mills does interest me at ascot, his run's have been too bad to be true & connection's surely wouldn't have persevered if he wasn't showing anything at home & whilst he seem's to like a bit of cut i think the bog he ran in lto went against him when he was quite heavily backed & is definatly one to keep an eye on in the betting taking another huge class drop.after deducting tomorrow's stake's we have an overnight "mythical" balance of 94pts but please god i'll be back here tomorrow with a smile on my face!!! many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

3/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!!!! absolute garbage today folk's,no excuse's,plain & simple & the faster i forget about it the better to be honest!!! we'll crack straight into tomorrow then...

PICENO 5.30 SOUTHWELL

this course specialist come's here 3lbs lower than his last winning mark & can get his career under scott dixon kick started here tomorrow.he's also got a tasty draw for a front runner & can nip out & make all on a course he clearly love's.he does have a very good record in the grade and his stats over a mile in C5's read's... 1-4-1 and darren egan also claim's a handy 5lb so all seem's set for a big run & he'll do for our gang!!!! :-)
2pts E/W @ 11/1 (bet victor)

i can honestly say there's nothing else at all tomorrow that remotly interest's me so touchwood the nap can do the business for us.our "mythical" bank now rest's on an overnight balance of 96pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's & hopefully we can get back on track.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

2/10/2012

Morning sportsfans!! another poor run from the nap yesterday but we did point you in the direction of a 16/1 winner in the note's section so not a complete disaster & onto today's thought's...

VIKING ROSE 4.20 NEWCASTLE (NAP)

this filly come's here 2lb below her last winning mark & can get her nose in front today.she love's some give underfoot & this is her optimum trip so all look's set fair for a massive run.
3pts win @ 4/1 (bet victor)

CYRIL THE SQUIRREL 4.40 SALISBURY (NB)

he's been running well off a mark of 61 recently so altho he's jumped a pound in the h'cap he does take a slight drop in class which can enable him to get his head in front today & regular pilot darryl holland know's him inside & out so hopefully there will be no repeat of his last run where he found trouble after trouble.
1pt win @ 13/2 (stan james)

HAWRIDGE KING 5.10 SALISBURY

last year's winner can get back in the winner's enclosure today coming here on a pound lower mark than when taking last year's race.he's had excatly the same make up for the last three season's,taking a while to get into the swing of thing's & follower's can take advantage today.
1pt win @ 10/1 (stan james)

well at least the racing's picked up a bit today, still pretty low grade stuff but at least it's competitive.our "mythical" bank now sit's on our original 100pts that we started with after deducting today's stake's but hopefully we'll be showing a nice profit at the end of the day's racing.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money today!! :-)

Monday 1 October 2012

1/10/2012

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to get excited about today i'm afraid, the nap not really getting involved & no excuses from this end apart from maybe the going but it still should have ran better.moving onto tomorrow & here are my thought's...

SHOSHONI WIND 3.40 AYR

this tenacious little filly get's the nod here returning to her last winning mark of 92 & can get follower's of to a flyer.because of a steep h'cap mark she has mainly been campaigned in condition's race's & actually make's her seasonal h'cap bow tomorrow now that her mark has slipped to a competitive one & it can't be a coincidence that connection's throw her back into h'cap company tomorrow.she has, however, run a couple of decent race's this term behind the like's of borderlescott, duchess dora & hamish mcgonagal to name a few.she does like to get her toe in & touchwood should be able to handle the heavy condition's & can make all & get the week kick started for follower's.
2.5pts E/W @ 10/1 (william hill)

there are a couple of other thing's that catch my eye tomorrow including sabratha in the 4.10 who can take advantage of a deserved drop in class & lost in paris over at wolverhampton look's to be on a nice mark.our "mythical" bank now sit's at 105pts after deducting tomorrow's stake's & hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow.many thank's for taking the time to read my blog & as alway's good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)
