31/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! no joy today guys & pretty poor if i'm brutally honest.tomorrow's cards are far from inspiring but i have got a nap & hopefully we can start a new month with a winner...

1pt e/w CATEGORICAL 3.55 CATTERICK (nap) 11/2 willhill

keith reveleys veteran comes here on a handy mark & will appreciate this drop back in trip tomorrow.whilst it is early 2011 since his last win under this code he did win a flat race at the end of last year to prove hes no back number & that the fire still burns, even if it isn't quite as brightly as it once was.he operates well with some give underfoot & he can gallop his rivals into submission.

that winds up the first month of 2013 & as i said i would be keeping track of our advised bets throughout the year we have our first monthly standings..

JANUARY 2013: +12pts

not anything to get excited about but it is nice to finish the month in profit.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

30/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! not a bad day today with the NB going in at a tasty 7/1 to put us into profit on the day & on a tasty +16pts for the month to advised stakes.i'll put tomorrows NAP up but i'm just getting into the liverpool arsenal game so i'll put the rest up in the morning along with the write up..

1pt e/w UNDERSTORY 3.30 LINGFIELD (nap) 9/1 bet365

1pt e/w SIX WIVES 6.50 WOLVES (nb) 12/1 bet365

many thanks for following.. :-)

29/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well thank god todays out the way, zero interest in any of todays cards from mallard towers & those that played fair play if you found anything decent.theres a few things that catch my eye tomorrow so lets get stuck in..

1pt e/w EMPEROR CONCERTO 3.10 LUD (nap) 20/1 willhill

i'm going to take a chance on lucy wadhams veteran tomorrow.he drops back in grade after a respectable debut run to blow the cobwebs away & comes here only a pound above his last winning mark.last season he came out & won after a promising first run back after a lay off so hopefully history can repeat itself.the ground is somewhat of an unknown but he has ran ok with plenty of give underfoot & i think it will be far more of a hinderence to his rivals than it will be for him.

1pt win FLEETWOODSANDS 5.50 KEM (nb) 5/1 bet365

milton bradleys gelding has dropped a couple of pounds since his last start enabling him to drop into this basement 0-50 C7 grade & to be honest he if he doesn't win in this grade with everything in his favour then you may as well write him off completely as it really doesn't get any worse than this.

1pt e/w RIGID 6.20 KEM 8/1 bet365

this is another one that has dropped in the weights sufficently so he drops into the basement grade & he's also reunited with talented young apprentice george chaloner who managed to get a decent tune out of an old fiddle so to speak when winning over C&D around this time last year which was the last time he's competed at this lowly level & can take advantage here.

prior to writing this evenings blog i was reading an article in the sporting life bloodstock section & i see that six time G1 winning mare midday has given birth to a foal by super sire galileo & mother  & foal are both doing fine!! what a mouth watering thought it is & surely the skys the limit but the conspiracy theorists that believe that coolmore & juddmonte "take it in turns" to have there pick of the foals by my calculations it would be coolmores pick this year.. but anyone that seriously thinks that foal will race in any other silks than the green, pink & white of juddmonte supremo prince khalid abdulla then you are seriously misguided.coolmore are very stallion orientated where as the juddmonte set up tends to support there mares far more & the fact that kind has had 3 foals by coolmore sires & every one of them has  stayed under the juddmonte banner tells me there is no rotar system at all, simple as that.thank god the weathers finally taken a turn for the better & we get back to some turf racing tomorrow, dont get me wrong i'm a big supporter of the a/w during the winter months but lets be honest,it isnt a/w or it wouldn't be abandoned as often as it is & for the life of me i dont get these jumping bumping cards when they could put on a quite reasonable,if low grade,a/w flat card.well i guess thats my moans out of the way & i wish you the best of luck tomorrow whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

28/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! not alot to report today apart from the NB running a blinder & landing us some nice place money @ 16's & i have to be honest theres not alot at all that excites me tomorrow but i've managed to find a couple of selections to give us a bit of interest but stakes will be at an absolute minimum...

1pt e/w PICCOLO EXPRESS 5.30 WOLVES (nap) 13/2 betvic

1pt e/w SPIRIT OF GONDREE 4.30 WOLVES (nb) 15/2 betvic

both are on winning marks & should give us a good run for our money.there really isn't alot else i can say about tomorrows racing apart from roll on wednesday!!! :-)

27/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! not a bad little return today guys, placed money @ 14's but yet again the woodwork denies us,lets hope tomorrow can bring out the cigars!! :-)

2pt e/w SOVENTO 3.20 KEMPTON (nap) 15/2 bv

1pt e/w DAZZLING VALENTINE 5.10 WOLVES (nb) 16/1 wh

0.5pt e/w BUBBLY BRAVEHEART 2.50 KEMPTON 16/1 bv

0.5pt e/w MASKED DANCE 3.40 WOLVES 10/1 bv

the mccabe stable seem to have been playing around with sovento since they got him but back over the right trip he can take advantage of his plummeting mark here as his record over C&D reads.. 2-1-2-4 and looks nailed on for place money at the very least.dazzling valentines not only just a pound above her last winning mark but if you have a look at her form in fillies only races it reads.. 4-4-1-1-1-3-6-3-2 so the fact that she takes on her own sex only tomorrow has to make you sit up & take notice. bubbly braveheart looks to be on a decent mark & the final selection is simple,if it gets backed it wins,if theres no money for it it will miss the break & the stable will wait for another day, sounds harsh i know but it really is as black & white as that really.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting.

26/1/2012

Evening sportsfans!! well not a bad return at all today considering we never backed a winner!! :-) we netted a near 16/1 place double with both the nap & nb getting  placed @ 12's & 10's respectively & then both our lay selections got sunk at short prices to give followers a half decent day.i have to admit the jumping bumping trash at wolverhampton tomorrow gets me about as excited as a wet weekend in clacton but there is some quality on offer over at leopardstown where hurricane fly should fend off the pretenders to his crown but he won't be a punters price which seems to be a bit of a common theme in these irish graded races as it seems that one horse always scares the opposition away which surprises me some what as there is plenty of decent prize money on offer & i think a few of them should take a leaf out of the middleham park teams book as they sent mad moose up against sprinter sacre & walked away with a 14k prize & its not the first time they've plundered a five figure prize in place money.i have found a selection over in ireland for us to have a bit of interest but thats all it will be to be honest & i certainly won't be getting involved heavily at all as todays profits will be better off banked ready for the festival onslaught in 6 weeks time...

1pt e/w UNCLE TOM COBLEY 4.10 LEOPARDSTOWN 14/1 pp

conor o'dwyers charge has been campaigned over hurdles since his return this season & i cant help but feel that his shrewd connections have had one eye on his falling handicap mark in the process.now sent back over the larger obstacles he resumes 5lb below his last chase mark & whilst he hasn't won since his novice campaign at the beginning of 2011 he has ran some stormers off higher marks than this most notably when third in a grade A off a 6lb higher mark than this back in april.this is the lowest grade he's tackled for quite some time & he could well take avantage of the drop in class as the opposition isn't exactly earth shattering.at the forecast prices of the other races over in ireland i don't think i'll be getting involved unless     someone wants to be very kind & offer me even money on hurricane fly as boylesports did today on sprinter sacre!! :-) only to £20 per new account but when your daughter rounds up 43 of her mates with debit cards & are over 18 who am i not to take advantage of boylesports offer!! laid of @ 1.2 on betfair & it was quite possibly the easiest £750 i'll probably ever make!! thats about it as regards tomorrow for me but i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

25/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well after the drivel of today we come to the highlite of the NH season so far for me & its the cheltenham trials day with the added spice of the re-arranged victor chandler chase from last weeks postponed meeting at ascot which sees the return of the mighty sprinter sacre who i have to say is the first NH horse to make my "spine tingle" since desert orchid did back in his prime & a mouth watering days racing looks in store so hopefully we've found a couple of winners...

1pt e/w NADIYA DE LA VEGA 1.15 CHELTENHAM (nap) 12/1

1pt e/w HUNT BALL 2.25 CHELTENHAM (nb) 10/1

NDLV ran an absolute blinder behind al ferof in the paddy power back in november & with the handicapper leaving her mark alone she has a great chance to go in here as walkon held the form up when chasing home the handicap "snip" unioniste off a 5lb higher mark.she did have a slip up in between when unseating in that unioniste race which was uncharacteristic & was the first time she's been on the floor in her career so we can forgive her that & she has only had 10 lifetime starts so could still be open to improvement as she's only just turned seven.i must admit the ground put me off last time as whilst she appreciates some give in the ground she wouldn't want it hock deep either so the forecast going seems ideal but i would air on the side of caution should it turn up bottomless. hunt balls connections have had a game plan from the outset this season & i dont think he's been quite "primed" so far this season but i think his shrewd connections will have him tuned to the minute for this tomorrow.he got his season somewhat back on track last time out when outpointed by menorah & i think he'll appreciate the trip as well.most of his opponents have questions to answer in one way or another which include former gold cup winner imperial commander who returns to the track after a 680 day absence.far be it from me to question a trainers decision but he's obviously had his problems over the years & at the age of 12 surely he deserves a peaceful retirement rather than being dragged round a 3m slog.

there is quality in abundance with a very strong supporting card including the likes of the new one & oscar whiskey & whilst the novice hurdle will be a watching brief for me with a view to the festival if coneygree is short enough i would be a layer as i think he wants much further than this trip to be seen to best effect.the one horse i will be laying at short odds is oscar whiskey as i don't believe he stays 3m on a train & the one thing that reve de sivola will do is stay & stay all day & i think he'll push the pace to stretch oscars stamina hopefully to the max.enoughs been said about sprinter sacre by far better judges than me & i just hope he comes back safe & sound as horses like him are very few & far between. many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both interesting & informative.good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

24/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! at last some good news to report with todays nap going in at a tasty 10/1 advised last night!! :-) lets hope the good run continues however i've spent the best part of 6 hours pouring through the form book today & i can only find one thing worthy of carrying my money tomorrow and thats...

2pts e/w ATLANTIC BEACH 1.30 LINGFIELD 8/1 paddypower

milton bradleys veteran gets a confident vote tomorrow now he has the assistance of robert winston back in the saddle.he does have to turn the form round with johnny splash on there previous run here last time out but he had a 7lb claimer on board that day & was taken off his feet only to run on when it was all to late.he's a very headstrong horse & needs firm handling & quite simply the young lad on him last time wasn't up to the job where as winston can get the best out of him as theres not many stronger on the a/w in my opinion.the favourite, beach candy, has had 3 runs at lingfield & has been beaten 9l,19l & 7l on each visit & has had to be dropped into C7 races to get her head in front on her last 2 outings & they where both at kempton where she was gifted an easy lead on both occasions, something which wont happen tomorrow & i'll be laying her til the cows come home or the backers run out of money, whichever comes first!! :-) i can honestly say there is nothing else that remotly interests me tomorrow which is rare for a friday however i have broken a golden rule of mine which is to NEVER get involved in these silly "jumping bumping" cards,i dont normally even scan over them but with nothing else to interest me i thought i'd have a peak & whilst i certainly wont be parting with any of the mallard millions it does look like quite a decent card but how you equate the form is anyones guess & i'm more than happy to take a watching brief as most will be looking to just get a run under there belts with bigger targets on the agenda later in the season.i think that just about wraps everything up & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your hard earned tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

23/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! not a bad return today, nice place money on docofthebay advised @ 16's last night & consigliere also went in all be it at skinny odds of 9/4.hopefully it can spring a return to form!!

BALTIS SISTER 2.45 LINGFIELD (nap) 10/1 betvictor

EL BRAVO 4.15 LINGFIELD (nb) 9/1 bet365

DANZOE 3.45 LINGFIELD 15/2 betvictor

1pt e/w patent

baltis sister was very progressive towards the end of last year but was upped in class for her last run & whilst not disgracing herself the drop back into a C5 will be far more up her street & its no coincidence that the stable have also reunited her with robert winston whos 2/2 on her.el bravo's another one whos reunited with his last succesful rider & shirley teasdales claim can prove vital tomorrow & hes still just a pound above his last winning mark. danzoes race is a trappy little contest but forget his last run as he doesn't stay 6f on a train & whilst he has to step up slightly he has won off marks this high in the past so could be capable tomorrow. again we find ourselves in unfamiliar territory as regards the surface on the a/w tracks so my best advice is to keep stakes to a minimum until things calm down a bit & once the thaw starts we're then going to have the issue of waterlogging.. bit of a vicious circle really! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Tuesday 22 January 2013

22/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well what an awful display today was & i think my conclusions are that form around southwell seems to stand up very well with the current state of the polytrack surfaces.hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow..

2pt e/w SOMMERSTURM 2.30 LINGFIELD (nap) 6/1 bet365

the "stench" of barney curley lives on somewhat with this son of tiger hill whos new stable seem intent on carrying on the ideas that curley pursued with this horses career.hes had three runs for his new stable,a never put in to it race on his debut over 10f then the same again over a mile but last time out over a mile the jockey done everything possible not to get in the frame & the stable are clearly trying to work his mark down owing to the fact that in his entire career the shortest trip hes ever ran over was 11f!! being by tiger hill the further he goes the better so tomorrows 13f trip should be ideal & hes only 3lb above his last winning a/w mark when winning with any amount in hand which was this time last year.they'll be no excuses tomorrow & i fully expect the handbrake to be taken off with william carson replacing the 7lb claimer whos been on top the last twice.

1pt e/w DOCOFTHEBAY 3.30 LINGFIELD (nb) 16/1 willhill

sean dixons grand old stager can get his career back on the right tragectory as he takes a welcome drop in grade.it was less than a year ago he was contesting listed races round here off a mark of 103 & performing with credit & whilst hes been tried over a variety of trips in his career i believe this 7f is ideal.he wore cheekpieces last time out & the stable have switched back to blinkers & it might just light him up enough to rekindle his interest for the game.

there are a couple of things that i like at ayr tomorrow including consigliere & seven is lucky.david pipe makes the long journey north with consigliere & he very rarely leaves empty handed & the denis o'regan ridden seven is lucky loves it round ayr & looks to have dropped to a competitive mark.again we seem to be at the mercy of the good old british weather but signs are hopeful that racing should start to get back into full swing.should we lose any of the fixtures i wll do the kempton card in the morning & post my findings.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both interesting & informative but as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

Monday 21 January 2013

21/1/2013

Morning sportsfans!! apologies for the late posting but after nearly 12 hrs of form study i've finally nailed my colours to the mast so here are my findings...

1pt e/w SOLFILIA 1.20 LINGFIELD (nap) 10/1 will.hill

1pt e/w BAJAN TRYST 1.50 LINGFIELD (nb) 8/1 betfred

solfilia has had a couple of runs in listed company lately to try & obtain a bit of black type & whilst she wasn't disgraced the step back into handicap company was most appreciated last time out when less than 2l behind behind the very consistent noble silk.shes improved considerably for the step up in trip recently & her form with layali dubai in october round here is absolutly stand out.the next selection was the one that gave me the biggest headache as there are that many form lines to follow between all the runners you catch yourself coming backwards!! however swiss cross has the beating of the favourite woolfall sovereign but is better over 6f & looks on a hefty mark after a consistent winter on the a/w.fratellino has the beating of them both however the return to 5f will be right up bajan trysts street & he gets a 7lb pull for a length & a half beating over C&D.he was drawn out wide that day where as fratellino had the run of the race & used up far to much energy early doors so with a decent draw today he should be able to be in the van all the way & kick on turning for home.i don't normally do this but there is another runner that interests me greatly today & that is DERWENTWATER in the 3.00,the reason behind this is i was perusing the tattersales sales catalogue last night for the 7th of february & listed as lot number 155,consigned by darley,is derwentwater.now he's a maiden & does seem to have his own ideas about the game but with a win under his belt his sales price will double & the fact that they've stepped him up to a mile for the first time (which i think he will relish) & kept the blinkers on tells me the stable are going to try & move heaven & earth to get a win into him.its a bit short in the betting but if its your kind of price then  its certainly worth looking at.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! well at last some racing to have a go at,wether tomorrows kempton card goes ahead is debatable but i've put together a lucky 15 for followers..

PRINCE OF PASSION 1.55 KEMPTON

VHUJON 2.25 KEMPTON

MISSIONAIRE 2.55 KEMPTON

SOVENTO 3.25 KEMPTON

0.5pt e/w lucky 15

i will go into detail tomorrow morning if & when kempton gets the go ahead.i'm sure you're all as frustrated as i am with the current cold snap & it looks like being wednesday/thursday time before we get back into full swing but until then it looks like we've got to feed on the scraps that the a/w throws up.many thanks for following & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

Evening sportsfans!! well the best we could muster again today was a non runner!! :-( the nap was bitterly disappointing if i'm honest & weather permitting lets hope tomorrow brings about some much needed improvement..

1pt e/w MARK THE BOOK 3.00 CHEPSTOW (nap) 12/1 betvic

0.5pt e/w CHEYENNE RED 4.00 WOLVES (nb) 16/1 bet365

0.5pt e/w SILVER WIND 7.00 WOLVES 12/1 bet365

i'm not going to go into depth on here as with the weather forecast i think the a/w might even be struggling but i have done my form study in depth as always so they aren't just selections i've thrown up by chance.if the meetings get the go ahead in the morning i'll update the blog in detail then.

Wednesday 16 January 2013

16/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well nothing at all to get excited about today, woeful springs to mind & the minimal stakes advice was just about the best we can boast to be honest so lets hope tomorrow brings some much needed improvement...

1pt e/w FINE PARCHMENT 2.20 WINCANTON 8/1 bet365

1pt e/w RICHARDS SUNDANCE 2.50 WINCANTON 9/1 bet365

fine parchment is a grand old warrior who was nailed after the last on his last run when just running out of gas & he remains on the same mark & his young claimer gets on particularly well with him so the 7lb claim is a huge bonus.victor dartnell's richard sundance has been dropped a couple of pounds since his last run & with harry derhams claim he now looks on a winable mark & will relish the underfoot conditions.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Tuesday 15 January 2013

15/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! whooooooooosh!! at last something to celebrate!! :-) todays NB going in at a tasty 8/1 to give followers a winning day although the nap was a bit disappointing i must admit. my first thoughts are there isn't alot of value about tomorrow but i've dug out a small stakes patent for a bit of interest...

QUERIDO 4.15 KEMPTON (nap) 5/1 bet365

MATAAJIR 5.45 KEMPTON (nb) 9/2 paddy power

CHJIMES 3.40 LINGFIELD 7/1 paddy power

0.5pt e/w patent

querido drops into a C7 for the first time since last years win & can follow up off a lower mark against some pretty poor opposition.mataajir remains on a nice mark after a couple of good runs & will appreciate this step back up to 7f.chjimes is another one of those horses that takes his turn winning & tomorrow could well be his.sorry if this seems short & sweet but i think i'll be a layer rather than a player tomorrow looking at the cards & i wish you the best of luck trying to dig out some value out of tomorrows wreckage & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 14 January 2013

14/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well the best we could muster today was a poxy non runner!! pathetic springs to mind & on the bright side tomorrow can only improve!! :-)

1pt win SUMMERINTHECITY 4.30 WOLVES (nap) 5/1 bet365

1pt win COLOURBEARER 2.55 WOLVES (nb) 8/1 bet365

the nap should have tomorrows race run perfectly to set him up for a late flourish.theres at least five or six of these that like to lead & i can see them all cutting each others throats at the head of affairs for this lad to waltz past them in the final furlong & chin them all.colourbearer has been backed on quite a few occasions recently & this is another one of those races that they seem to take turns in winning & tomorrow could well be his.short & sweet tonight as i'm not wasting hours on the jumps cards to see them abandoned just because we seem to be the only country on the planet that comes to a standstill when a snowflake falls.i will scan the cards later & study them in depth in the morning if there on & will tweet any findings.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!!! :-)

Sunday 13 January 2013

13/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! frustration has to be the word of the day today, meglio ancora netting us some tasty place money @ 33's then the nap running on all to late finishing 4th to rob us of a profitable day but watch out when he goes over 3m+ as he needs a marathon trip by the looks of it.lets hope tomorrow bares some fruit...

2pt e/w YANKEE STORM 12.55 LINGFIELD (nap) 13/2 b.v.

1pt e/w PENBRYN 4.00 LINGFIELD (nb) 8/1 b.v.

0.5pt e/w TORERO 2.50 WOLVES 12/1 p.p.

0.5pt e/w SHES HUMBLE 1.40 WOLVES 11/1 p.p.

yankee storm looks like he's ready to take advantage of a tumbling mark & the step up to a mile seems to suit him far better as he showed last time when running on behind storm runner.all his rivals seem to be in the grip of the handicapper now & jim crowleys a big positive.the nick littmoden stable seem to be in good health with a winner & three places from there last six runners & have booked a very capable apprentice for penbryn who loves it round here with a win & four places to his name.torero is by hernando & they improve with time & experience so i expect him to step up immensly on what he's done so far & i think he'll turn out to be alot better than the mark of 66 that he goes off tomorrow.the pick of his form was when only 2l behind the improving michael bell trained bridgehampton back in may & even a repeat of that run would be good enough here but he's open to any amount of improvement on only his eighth racecourse appearance.shes humble doesn't stay 2m4f so you can forget her last start but back in the right grade this course specialist should still be to good for these even at the age of eleven.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both interesting & informative & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting guys!! :-)

Saturday 12 January 2013

12/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! bit of a disappointment today was really, the nap blundered his chance away clattering into a couple of fences & on second viewing joe tizzard performed miracles just to stay on board & i'm afraid you cant do that round warwick as the fences are a stern test of jumping.but as my late grandfather used to say "if you dont jump, you dont win" so no complaints from these quarters.

2pts e/w BLAZING BULL 2.50 KELSO (nap) 7/1 bet365

0.5pt e/w MEGLIO ANCORA 1.30 WOLVES (nb) 20/1 p.power

0.5pt e/w THE SNEEZER 3.15 NAVAN 25/1 boylesports

blazing bull is open to plenty of improvement & has very few miles on the clock so should be able to take advantage of this drop in grade.meglio is on a winning mark all be it for a different trainer & is worth taking a chance at the price.the sneezer has been campaigned over hurdles lately & back over fences looks on a decent mark & hopefully the reapplication of cheek pieces can work the oracle as he won first time out in blinkers.short & sweet tonight as i'm sure you've all got better things to do on a saturday night than read my blog!!lol :-) best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting guys!!

0.5pts e/w MIDNIGHT HAZE 2.05 KEMPTON (nb) 20/1 (skybet)

0.5pts e/w AURORAS ENCORE 3.35 WARWICK 28/1 (sky bet)

0.5pt e/w trixie

colin tizzards grand stamp of a chaser comes here on the same mark as his last run when behind the potential handicap "blot" that was unioniste in the paul stewart spinal gold cup at cheltenham.that was over 2m 5f & he did get taken off his feet slightly early on & tomorrows 3m trip will be far more up his street as he was staying on dourly & it was no disgrace finishing only 6l behind walkon,in fact, thats damn good form in my eyes.he takes a massive drop in grade as the highest rated horse in tomorrows race is 137, which was the rating of the LOWEST horse he was racing against last time out.he loves to get his toe in & as a second season chaser could well be open to further improvement as he's only just turned eight.i'm hoping the grounds not going to be to testing as midnight haze wouldn't want it to soft in my opinion & he comes here on a winning mark & i'm prepared to give him another chance as the ground last time out was bottomless & his runs prior to that where in the grand national & a couple of spins over cheltenhams x-country course & i'm not convinced he truely stays 3m so tomorrows trip could yield a return to form.last years scottish national runner up auroras encore will relish every yard of this trip & ran well for a long way last time in bottomless ground & that should have blown the cobwebs away.for the first time this week i'm really strong on one & hopefully the nap can reward followers tomorrow.the #teamchoochoo trading club has been a bit quite the last couple of days but hopefully we'll have a couple of strong trades for tomorrow.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

10/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! a bit of a case of "after the lord mayors show" today if i'm honest but our current policy of minimal stakes whilst the racings of a poor quality showed just why today.we're still well in profit for 2013 on our advised bets (+38pts) & hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow..

ONIZ TIPTOES 1.40 SEDGEFIELD (14/1 bet victor)

ITS LIKE THAT 1.50 HUNTINGDON (6/1 bet365)

AJZAL 3.20 HUNTINGDON (10/1 paddy power)

0.5pt e/w patent

1pt e/w STRATEGIC ACTION (nap) (14/1 paddy power)

the nap has to be the most intriguing selection but he has got slightly progessive form compared to most of the field & more importantly he takes a marked step up in trip & i think this is exactly what he needs.things have been happening a bit to quickly for him over shorter trips & he wasn't disgraced when tackling the furthest trip so far in his career last time out over a mile when just under 3l behind the progressive storm runner but he's been running on in all of his races & he has still only had 13 lifetime starts so he should be open to plenty of improvement over further.his breeding on the sire side is no problem with the trip & he's by a nashwan mare so the further the better distance wise as far as the dam side goes & hopefully we might of found one here.oniz tiptoes won this race last year & this renewal doesn't look as good to be honest & should go well at a decent price.its like that is basically a plodder but none of his opponents have exactly shown any form thats any better & maybe he could just plod past this lot.ajzal looks on a reasonable mark & can make his presence felt in this grade.again we're not exactly treated to the best quality racing for a friday & until we get some consistent ground & decent quality fayre i'm quite happy to stick to the current policy of minimal stakes.i hope you've found my blog an interesting read & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow!! :-)

9/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well the #teamchoochoo bandwagon continues to gather speed in 2013 with todays NAP romping home advised @ a tasty 15/2 last night & we where bang on with the info on the S.P. as he was returned a very well backed 7/4 favourite & in all fairness the result was never in any doubt.the NB just failed to hang on & finished 4th denying us an e/w double for the second day in a row but yet again followers enjoyed healthy profits to our advised stakes & if you followed our selections in 2013 you would be showing a massive +43pts profit so far!! :-) so lets see if we can keep up the good work..

1pt e/w GOWER RULES 6.15 KEMPTON (nap) 20/1 (bet365)

1pt e/w SALLYS SWANSONG 1.35 WOLVES (nb) 25/1 (bet365)

0.5pt e/w double

gower rules is in danger of being a cliff horse but i think i may have found the key to this one now.he comes here on his last winning a/w mark ,which granted was now 18mths ago & he did run off this mark last time when we tipped him up but he was drawn out in the car park that day & had to use up far to much speed & energy early doors to get to the front where he likes to be & weakend a furlong out but drawn in the one box tomorrow is a definate trump card & certain horses have there quirks & i think i've found his,he's had two victorys in his career, the first when being turned out two days after his previous run & the second when turned out five days after his previous run.he's also been placed 8 times in his career & five of those runs came on the back of five days or less absences so it's clear that he takes his racing well & thrives on it so the fact that he had only two runs in the past 6 months prior to his last run was always going to be a worry but now his stable turn him out again 3 days after his last run he has to be taken notice of & i'm prepared to give him one last chance in this weaker race.sally swansongs only a pound above her last winning mark & the booking of luke morris catches my eye.shes a real course specialist & has three wins & two placings over the C&D to her name.the #teamchoochoo trading club is where the action is as we reached a new high on the share price today & are now showing gains of over 80%!! :-) anyone interested in getting involved in this innovative idea & having the chance to become an actual racehorse owner into the bargain please don't hesitate to contact me for further details. many thank for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both an interesting & informative read but as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting folks!! :-)

8/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! OOOOOOOOOOSSSHH!! what a barnstormer our NB was bolting in advised last night at a massive 12/1!! :-) the NAP finished 4th to deny us a nice e/w double but if you followed our advised bets this year you would be showing a very healthy profit of +37pts!! hopefully the run continues...

1pt e/w DIAMOND CHARLIE 5.10 KEMPTON (NAP) 15/2 (bv)

1pt e/w PRINCE OF PASSION 6.10 KEMPTON (NB) 16/1 (pp)

0.5pt e/w double

simon dows gelding comes here on the back of a 130 day absence but don't let that put you off as he usually runs his best races when freshened up & his last win was over this C&D off this mark when coming back off a 90+ day break.he hasn't been totally disgraced since & you can forget his runs over 6f as he doesn't stay in my opinion & sandwiched between his turf runs he ran an excellent race behind kingsgate choice off a 2lb higher mark going down by a couple of lengths back in may.this is a very shrewd stable & i've got a feeling there might be some money about for this tomorrow so i strongly advise taking the early value.prince of passion drops into the basement grade for the first time in a while & can make the most of the plum draw & take advantage of a plummeting mark for another very shrewd yard.i hope many of you have followed my selections this year & are enjoying the healthy profits but apart from some juicy priced winners the best thing about today is that we're another day closer to the start of the flat turf season!!lol many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 7 January 2013

7/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! not alot to get excited about today i'm afraid, mutaajir getting placed @ 12/1 being the highlite of our advised patent.we've had a few decent returns from our small stakes bets just lately & i see no reason to change this ploy tomorrow as again it's pretty low grade stuff but at least it's competetive so hopefully there might be a bit of value out there..

1pt e/w SMALLJOHN 2.20 WOLVES (nap) 14/1 (bet365)

1pt e/w MAURICETHEATHLETE 1.55 CHEPSTOW (nb) 12/1

0.5pt e/w double

smalljohn looks cracking value to me as you can pretty much scrub his last two runs in C4 company as he's simply not good enough these days but now he's dropped back into a C5 he's only a pound above his last winning mark over C&D and can take full advantage.he loves to dictate things at the the head of affairs & with no other obvious pace in the race he can blast out & grab the rail to make all from a low draw.mauricetheathlete also gets a welcome drop in grade & is on a winning mark so hopefully can give us a nice double on the day.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Sunday 6 January 2013

6/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! the nap was most disappointing today & i expected more to be honest but we still managed two big price places in our advised patent to give us over 20pts profit on the day and we must surely land a big one soon!!!! :-) i've picked out another patent for us tomorrow & hopefully the recent good run can continue...

GOWER RULES 4.00 KEMPTON 16/1 (paddy power) NAP
MATAAJIR 2.20 WOLVES 12/1 (boylesports) NB
QEETHAARA 1.25 KEMPTON 16/1 (paddy power)

1pt e/w patent

mataajir could well get an easy lead in this apprentices race & could easily keep on rolling to the line in my opinion.with his jockeys claim he's now a full 8lb below his last winning mark & connections had a winner with loyalty on saturday which had a similiar profile to this lad.spark of genius is the only fly in the ointment as she made all to win her maiden last time & she looks like an improver although she didn't beat much but if she sets a frenetic gallop then our lad will be more than happy tracking in behind from his inside draw.gower rules arrives on his last winning a/w mark & i like this one alot.he's far happier on the polytrack than turf so his recent uninspiring turf runs don't really worry me & the trip was completely wrong for him last time out & it was only half a dozen runs back that he was placed behind oneiric off a 4lb higher mark at lingfield so it's not like you have to go trawling through his form cherry picking & whilst 2012 didn't bare much fruit they where all off marks in the late 50's & early 60's.last years winner qeethaara loves it round here & re-opposes last years runner up hierach on a pound worse terms & can confirm the form again although if your playing i would only advise it to small stakes again tomorrow as the racing yet again isn't of the greatest quality & why on earth are there two a/w meetings & only one NH bang in the middle of the jumps season? i really do think the racing planners need to have a long look in the mirror to be honest.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both interesting & informative but good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!!! :-)

5/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well followers we're booming all over the place today!! the NB goes in @ 6/1 coupled with a 66/1 place in our yankee to show a slight profit & on our advised stakes bets we finished around 30 points in front!! :-) and those of you that follow me on twitter will have hopefully followed the 2 a/w selections i tweeted last night, desert strike going in @ 6/1 advised & then the icing on the cake loyalty goes in at a belting 20/1 advised! hopefully  the run can continue & i've found a nice little e/w patent on the a/w tomorrow i think...

DANCING WELCOME 4.20 WOLVES (nap) 20/1 (bet365)
MAZ 2.45 WOLVES (nb) 16/1 (bet365)
FOLLOW THE FLAG 2.15 WOLVES 16/1 (william hill)

1pt e/w patent

dancing welcome looks like a gift to me as she likes to race up with the pace so has a perfect draw in the two stall.the horse drawn on her inner needs to be held up & i think strong man will blast out of the six stall & make it a decent gallop & our girl should be able to drop right on his shoulder & get a nice tow round.should that one miss the break it will be just as nice as she doesn't mind making the running so robert winston is unlikely to get caught out tactically.now not only does she drop to her last winning a/w mark for the first time since that victory but if you have a look at her form in january its her time of year, january 2011,3 runs,1 win,2 places, january 2012,2 runs,2 wins (including off this mark over C&D),january 2013 ??? i'll let you know tomorrow evening!! ;-) maz & follow the flag both look on winable marks in my opinion & hopefully we can carry on the good work started today.the #teamchoochoo trading club is going from strength to strength & we're currently looking at shared ownership & syndication schemes so if anyone is connected to or knows of any decent connections please get in touch with any contact details you may have for them.i hope you've found my blog both interesting & informative but as always i wish you all the best with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

i haven't covered the plumpton card as yet & if i find anything i like i will tweet a blog update. :-)

Friday 4 January 2013

4/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well a bit disappointing day today really, the nap being heavily backed but no joy although we did manage a couple of winners on our trixie to show a small a profit :-) here are tomorrows thoughts...

5pts e/w ALFIE SPINNER 3.40 SANDOWN (nap) 7/1 (pp)

3pts e/w BIG FELLA THANKS 2.40 WINCANTON (NB) 6/1 (bv)

1pt e/w KYLENOE FAIRY 3.00 SANDOWN 40/1 (wh)

1pt e/w OSCAR PRAIRIE 2.05 WINCANTON 33/1 (lad)

0.5pt e/w yankee

alfie spinner is a very strong nap tomorrow, not only on the strength of his own form but also the fact that alot of his rivals are out of form & are starting to get a bit long in the tooth to be honest.he ran an absolute blinder in the reynoldstown less than a year ago finishing just under 3l behind bobs worth (now rated 171) & 4l in front of silviniaco conti (now rated 172).after failing to stay in the 4miler at the festival he reappeared in the united house gold cup at ascot running a blinder off this mark until fitness got the better of him in the closing stages behind roberto goldback.he only got as far as the third fence in the hennessy when locking horns again with bobs worth but that was very out of character as he's normally a sound jumper & i like the booking of noel fehily replacing the 3lb claimer that has rode him the last twice.i think this is the perfect trip for big fella thanks & he's never finished out of the frame when completing in C2 events.all his best form is in listed & graded class races and it was only 4 runs back that he was placed in the greatwood gold cup off a 4lb higher mark.oscar prairie, now before you go sending for the men in the white coats hear me out!!lol i know he's been pulled up on his last 3 outings but prior to that he tried to give 3lb to the nicky henderson trained bears affair (now rated 147) going down by 5l & that was after he'd taken a kempton C3 handicap off a mark of 125.with his jockeys claim he goes off 123 & also has winning form on heavy ground (one win & a place from 2 runs). that was when the run of P/U's started but the first was in a G3 over 3m at aintree (dont think he stays that far),he then went over fences but in my opinion he's not a fan of the larger obstacles as he can be a bit ponderous at his obstacles & he's had a break to freshen him up (50% s/r when coming back off a 60 day plus break) and i think he looks a cracking e/w bet.kylenoe fairy is another who has winning form on heavy going and is now 3lb lower than when finishing second in a listed h'cap & whilst he has to bounce back from a couple of lacklustre efforts that might not be that difficult as i simply don't think she stays much further than this trip & has been tried over further the last twice.shes obviously had problems & hopefully her run behind kentford grey lady will have blown away the cobwebs & at likely big odds could well be worth a few shillings e/w.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both interesting & informative.good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Thursday 3 January 2013

3/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! yet again the racing isn't of any great standard tomorrow if i'm honest & finding strong bets is proving quite difficult but we can only study whats in front of us so to speak so hopefully we've found a bit of value for tomorrow...

2pts e/w @ 10/1 KATMAI RIVER 12.30 WOLVES (nap)

1pt e/w @ 14/1 O'CROTAIGH 3.10 MUSSELBURGH (nb)

0.5pt e/w double (both prices available with ladbrokes)

it was january last year that katmai river hit form when dropping to a mark in the late 50's & i can see the same happening here.he's now dropped to a mark of 58 & he ran an excellent race at the end of last year off this mark over tomorrows C&D when going down by a neck to frognal but young rachael kneller takes 5lb off his back tomorrow & i think that can tip things in his favour in what is a very weak race in all fairness.o'ccrotaigh is on a winning mark & gets a 6lb pull with isla pearl fisher on there running last time out when he lead until the last but lost 2 places on the run in & with no other pace pushers in the race he could be left alone to get on with it & could easily slip the field on slightly better ground than last time.i dont normally do this but i do fancy 3 others tomorrow but there short prices so maybe a trixie would be the way to go...

DE RIGUER 1.30 WOLVES
ROYAL SEA 2.00 WOLVES
MISS BUNTER 2.30 WOLVES

1pt win trixie

de riguer won with any amount in hand last time & could quite well run up a sequence but my strongest fancy of the 3 is royal sea who whilst he was beaten in a seller last time it wasn't the worst horse in the world that beat him that day for the grade & i think he's been crying out for a trip like this since his handicap debut when he pulled like a train, this longer trip should help him settle far better & can make a winning debut for new connections, the main reason i'm not putting it up as a main blog selection is that if it was of any real talent then the david o'meara stable would have kept hold of him for a bit longer but time will tell.miss bunters another that looks like it can run up a sequence off this mark.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i hope you've found it both interesting & informative & i wish you the best of luck for whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Wednesday 2 January 2013

2/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well i think we got it about right on last nights blog, pretty poor low grade stuff & lots of it i'm afraid. :-( and why there where three a/w meetings in the middle of the jumps season really is beyond me,don't get me wrong the a/w is fine just to tick over & fill in when theres nothing else but when there C5 & C6 races are taking centre stage it just about tells you the quality of the racing on a whole to be honest.again we've dug deep & found what we think are decent selections at value prices...

3pt e/w @ 10/1 (ladbrokes) APRIL FOOL 3.20 LINGFIELD (nap)

2pt e/w @ 7/1 (paddy power) BILLY RED 12.50 LINGFIELD (nb)

1pt e/w @ 9/1 (bet365) BENE LAD 2.30 AYR

1pt e/w trixie

april fool looks like quite a cuning plot to me by connections as they've put a 5lb claimer up which puts him on his last winning a/w mark & they've not messed about either they've plumped for red hot willy twiston-davies.last time out he has to turn the form around with the runner up but he gets a massive 11lb pull (inc.claim) for just under 7l but he wasn't perservered with once his chance had gone & the distance probably flatters the runner up to be honest.he's going to have no problem taking up his customary front running role & thats exactly where you want be round here in my opinion & he should lead this lot a merry dance.billy reds another who has to turn round form from his previous run with a couple of rivals but he also gets a healthy weight pull & more importantly he was stuck 4 wide all the way round that day & probably went half a furlong more than anything else so the fact he weakened in the straight wasn't surprising & his shrewd stable has the top man joe fanning booked.also the 3lb that the handicapper has dropped him since his last run see's him now on his last winning mark over C&D.it was this time last year that bene lad hit form & he's now dropped to the same mark that seen him win a 0-120 over C&D and looks a value e/w bet.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

Tuesday 1 January 2013

1/1/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well tomorrows cards are absolute garbage if i'm honest, low grade stuff & plenty of it!! :-( i've managed to dig out a NAP & a couple of decent e/w plays i think so here goes...

3pts win @ 3/1 (paddy power) NOWHURLIN 2.20 AYR (nap)

1pt e/w @ 9/1 (bet365) SHALAMBAR 3.00 LINGFIELD (nb)

1pt e/w @ 16/1 (bet365) UNDERSTORY 3.30 LINGFIELD

the nap i'm quite strong on i must admit now he's returned to 2m.
since his last victory he was stepped up in distance & clearly didn't stay & a welcome return to the minimum trip should pay dividends. he goes on an easy surface & only weakened two out over 19f on his reappearance when the combination of stamina & fitness told.shalambar drops to a winning mark & the useful apprentice george downing also takes a further 5lb off his back, hopefully this can tip things in his favour.finally understory,he's now 4lb below his last winning mark over C&D and loves to bowl along in front & they may just give him enough rope to slip them & make all.most of the other races seem to be full of horses that take there turn winning the same low grade races & basically it's pot luck which one of the old dogs is in the right mood on the day to be honest! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting & a happy new year to you all!!!! :-)
