selections for 5/7/2016

bloody crossbar was pounded today but it didn't give us that elusive winner unfortunately. both the jim goldie runners ran respectable races finishing second and as thought the third selection was withdrawn following her exploits the previous day. small profit on the e/w trixie but it's winners that pay the bills so tomorrow we head to wolverhampton in search of some value!! pontefract looks a very difficult card with the ratings not really throwing up anything thats clear so it's off to the tapeta we go!! i wouldn't be going daft stake wise tomorrow as there isn't a lot of room on the figures with 3lb & 2lb only separating the top four in each race but there big enough prices to make them count if something lands. i'd probably go with a small stakes e/w patent to be honest.

whipphound 2.25 (16/1 widely available)

steel stockholder 3.55 (16/1 widely available)

major muscari 4.25 (14/1 widely available)

there's plenty of unexposed types lurking in each race that could easily step up on what they've done so far but these should give us a decent run for our money.

best of luck if you follow.

selections for 4/7/2016

Well i'm bored so i thought i'd put my time to some use this evening!! it's been a while but i thought i'd throw a small blog together for tomorrows racing!! bet to what you can afford & feel free to abuse me, i'll happily tell you to jog on!!

Goninodaethat 2.45 Ayr (5/1 widely available)

comes here on the back of two stiff tasks in 0-75 company and this drop in grade will be most welcome for jim goldie's charge. there doesn't look a lot of competition for pace in the race and he can tack over from his draw of 6 and grab the rail and make all off what is a now very tempting handicap mark & has won in july for the last three years so clearly comes to himself around now.

Classy Anne 4.25 Ayr (6/1 widely available)

another from big jim's yard north of the border she will relish the give underfoot & comes here 2lb below her last winning mark. she showed she still possesses plenty of ability when touched off in a similar grade by anonymous lady over C&D in may of this year and this looks there for the taking.

Dark crystal 5.30 Ayr (7/1 widely available)

was second behind beautiful stranger today so not guaranteed to be running but if she does will hold every chance. that was in a 0-75 so she should relish conditions here in a 0-65 and the drop back a furlong hold's no fears & this doesn't look a strong race in depth to be honest.

Win singles & an e/w trixie look the way to go, best of luck if you follow.
