29/3/2012

Morning sportsfans!! well this is a bit odd but i find myself at a loose end this morning so i thought i'd put up saturdays selections early..

2pt e/w GO GO GREEN 2.25 MUSSELBURGH (nap)

with the start of the turf flat season we do have to take fitness on trust some what but the jim goldie stable are masters at getting every ounce of ability out of there inmates.at first sight this lad looks like he's at the end of his career being campaigned in sellers recently but don't let that fool you.when he won his last race (a seller) he beat an 82 rated rival giving it 10lbs & the goldie stable don't keep them going for the sake of it.it was only last summer he was winning here off a 5lb higher mark over C&D and at a nice price he looks cracking value to me.

1pt e/w CRIMSON KNOT 5.15 MUSSELBURGH (nb)

Alan berrys mare loves it here at the scottish track & can add another victory to her C.V. she likes a bit of give underfoot but wouldn't want it hock deep to be honest & her young jockeys claim is also an added bonus.

1pt e/w SPINATRIX 1.20 DONCASTER

this mare ran some absolute belters towards the end of last year & she also goes well fresh which is a big plus.the Dods stable had a winner on the a/w at southwell recently & hopefully she can get them off the mark on turf.

1pt e/w BRAE HILL 3.05 DONCASTER

last years winner loves this straight mile at donny & must have a cracking e/w chance in saturdays race.second the year before he goes for third time lucky in the race & now he's dropped to last years winning mark it will take a very game horse to stop him.

there aren't any prices up yet for saturdays racing so i will add those later on today.the blog will now concentrate on flat racing but i will be doing an aintree special next week that will bring the curtain down on the NH campaign.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

27/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well we certainly didn't cover ourselves in glory today to be fair but hopefully tomorrow can see a return to happier times..

2pts e/w MAZIJ 2.40 WOLVES (nap) 6/1 bet365

if this lad slips any further down the handicap he'll fall out the bottom!!lol it was only just over a year ago he was winning off marks around a stone higher & ran a blinder behind activate last time up over C&D.a repeat will see him go very close here.

2pts e/w CALL ME HANDSOME 5.25 WOLVES (nb) 7/1 bet365

this veteran absolutly loves it here & has racked up 11 course wins over the years.now in the twilight of his career hes still capable of producing good form at the west midlands venue & also goes particularly well for an apprentice.

i've only covered the wolverhampton card so far but i will add further selections & the days lays later this evening.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Tuesday 26 March 2013

26/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well didn't we do well today!! the NB landed at a tasty 7/2 advised last night & the NAP running a close second to land the each-way money.hopefully the good run can continue...

1pt e/w BLUE DEER 2.00 LINGFIELD (nap) 20/1 paddypower

the betting on this race i don't get to be honest.this lads got a length to find with tomorrows favourite patavium prince on there running over C&D in december & a 4lb turn around can see him do just that.the 20/1 available at the minute looks an absolute gift to me & i'll be getting stuck into this for sure.it seems the stable have been playing around over different trips to work his mark down.he is still a couple of pound above his last winning mark but hes ran some blinders off 62 most notably when touched off by commanche towards the end of last year.

2pt e/w RYLEE MOOCH 4.05 LINGFIELD (nb) 11/2 betvictor

another one whos trickling down the handicap slowly but surely & hes now only a pound higher than when winning a C4 0-85 in december & his record over 5f here at lingfield reads.. 1-2-3-1

1pt e/w DEMOISELLE BOND 20/1 bet365

this lad has dropped below his last winning mark but i must be honest the draw worries me slightly tomorrow.i'm hoping he has enough early toe to get across & lead them a merry dance & at a nice price is well worth the chance in my opinion.

1pt e/w RESTLESS BAY 4.20 SOUTHWELL 14/1 paddypower

this is another well handicapped sort but the surface has to be taken on trust.being by elusive city he should go on it & whilst i wouldn't normally take the chance he now looks so well handicapped it would be folly not to.

well today netted us a 25pt haul from our advised bets & hopefully we can carry on the good work tomorrow & really finish the month off in style.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 25 March 2013

25/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well its good to be back after the short break owing to the weather but hopefully we can return with a bang & a couple of decent priced winners!! :-)

3pts e/w RAMBO WILL 3.30 SOUTHWELL (nap) 6/1 bet365

i backed this last time out but the 6f trip just stretched his stamina that bit to far after being bang there at the furlong marker.the drop down to the minumum trip & the fact the handicapper has dropped him a couple of pounds should work the oracle & see him back in the winners enclosure here.hes ran well here on more than one occasion off marks alot higher than this in the past & while his best days may well be behind him now he has dropped to 5lb below his last winning mark.

4pt win LEXINGTON BOY 4.30 SOUTHWELL (nb) 7/2 ladbrks

richard faheys gelding takes a steep drop in class here & looks primed to go in.hes had a recent spell over hurdles & he didnt take to it in all fairness but being by high chaparral the surface shouldn't hold any fears & he has won here in the past.forecast favourite JACOBS SUN will have to win this off a career high mark in the highest grade hes ever won off & i'll be happy to LAY him tomorrow.

i will be adding more selections as the evening goes on & i work my way through the cards!! many thanks for following & please see my timeline for further tweet updates.

Thursday 21 March 2013

21/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well finally the turf flat season begins.. all be it if it passes an early morning inspection as there is severe snow forecast but everythings crossed for the go ahead!! :-/

2pts e/w DOCOFTHEBAY 5.20 DONCASTER (nap) 7/1 bv

the flat turf may well have started but we're sticking with an old friend from the a/w for the nap tomorrow.the switch to turf means he can race off a 6lb lower mark than on the sand & now see's him 2lb below his last winning mark.the fact he hasn't raced on grass since last year may have been a cunning tactic from this shrewd stable & he also won't mind any give underfoot.

1pt e/w BOSTON BLUE 3.00 DONCASTER (nb) 10/1 pp

not normally a race i'd look to get involved in to be honest but tony carrols charge is that well handicapped i couldn't resist.whilst his a/w mark has slipped he still remains on his last winning turf mark & can get his head in front tomorrow.he won over hurdles at the beginning off march to show he's in rude health & seemed to like it on town moore.he's also won on heavy ground over the jumps so forecast conditions should be right up his street here.

1pt e/w PICENO 4.10 DONCASTER 12/1 bet365

whilst this lad will need to pull out all the stops to win i think he could have a fitness edge on most of his rivals here.he's ran well off marks higher than this on the a/w & whilst its always dangerous to compare the two hes got a decent draw & won't mind the going so he's certainly in with a shout of a place at least.

hopefully the meeting can get the go ahead tomorrow morning & if i'm honest the forecast isn't great but we can only hope.the brockelsby is the seasons traditional curtain raiser & that gets us underway at 1.35 tomorrow.at first sight on breeding they look a pretty moderate bunch but hopefully something will surprise us  although its not always full of quality to be fair.the conditions event is quite interesting with the re-appearance of the charlie hills trained model pupil who i know the stable have got one eye on cup races this season so he'll be worth keeping an eye on.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting guys!! :-)

20/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well another day closer to the start of the turf flat is about the best thing that happened today!! roll on friday..

2pts e/w STEELCUT 2.30 wolves (nap) 7/1 bet365

a nap earlier in the week when getting touched off in a driving finish.can gain compensation today.

1pt e/w NIGHT TRADE 3.05 wolves (nb) 14/1 ladbrokes

goes particularly well for an apprentice & looks on a workable mark.at a decent price is a craking e/w chance.

1pt e/w SCOTTISH LAKE 7.00 kempton 8/1 paddypower

pulled far to hard when unable to get cover last time & has now slipped past his last winning mark.kirsty milkshake gets on well with him & can make all here.

1pt e/w MR CHOCOLATE DROP 9.00 kempton 14/1 bet365

another previous nap who now returns to his favoured track. a/w king adam kirby takes the mount & is an interesting booking.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & good luck with whatever you decide for your money today..

Tuesday 19 March 2013

19/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well it doesn't get any closer than today the NAP getting chinned literally on the line so place money only im afraid but hopefully tomorrow can see a return to winning ways..

2pts e/w RAKAAN 8.45 KEMPTON (nap) 8/1 william hill

we're going to stick with an old friend tomorrow & hopefully he can repay the faith handsomely.we napped him last time out when just failing to catch als memory over 7f & as the handicappers left him alone i see no reason to dessert him tomorrow.

1pt e/w DO MORE BUSINESS (nb) 8/1 bet365

a bit of a speculative punt here but at a decent price he could be well worth the chance as this is a pretty awful race really.he's weighted to turn around recent running with forecast favourite spellmaker & he's also gone close on numerous occasions recently.you can forget his last effort when he didn't stay the mile & a return to a sprint distance can reap rewards for his new stable.

well its all about the start of the turf flat season for me on friday & i really can't wait if i'm honest.hopefully there will be a new superstar on the block following frankels retirement but time will tell.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 18 March 2013

18/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! finally we're back!! as many of you are well aware that follow me on twitter i have experienced some internet issues over the past few days but you'll be pleased to hear all is resolved now in fact it's now like fricking lightning!! :-) so without further a do lets get stuck into tomorrows cards..

2pts e/w CALIFORNIA ENGLISH 3.40 WOLVES (nap) 7/1 wh

the marco botti stable have been in irresistable form this past month or so with 5 out of the last 20 runners winning & no less than 13 of the last 20 being placed! thats absolutly red hot & man of the moment andrea atzeni takes the ride fresh from his winter derby triumph on saturday.he pulled far to hard last time out & if you judge him on his second off a 2lb higher mark at the turn of the year over C&D it puts him bang in the mix tomorrow.he could well still be open to some improvement & hopefully he can get us back to a winning start on our return to the blog.

1pt e/w TENANCY 5.20 SOUTHWELL (nb) 8/1 bet365

this old favourite has hit rock bottom in the handicap & that might be just enough for him to get his head back in front tomorrow. southwells a very specialist track as regards the surface & this fella loves it there having three course victorys to his name.with putin drawn out in the car park he could well get his nose in front early & he'll take alot of catching off this mark in my opinion.

just the two selections tomorrow but hopefully we can make a winning return to the fold.with the return of the turf flat season this friday i will now be spending more time in the afternoons on twitter where i'll hopefully be tweeting from race to race what i fancy or what i'll be laying so if you like anything else or agree with me give me a shout!! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Wednesday 13 March 2013

13/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well the quest for winners brings us to the half way point in this years festival & so far the tale of woe continues but after day two i'm about level but only due to some cunning laying & trading in all fairness.i can't let the chance pass to mention sprinter sacre.. what an equine specimin he is & hopefully we'll see him for a good few years yet but i honestly don't think we'll ever see the best of him as i don't think theres anything currently in training (including simonsig!) that could even get him off the bridle & he really is a joy to behold.onto tomorrows thoughts..

1.30 CHELTENHAM jewson novices' chase

not very original but i really can't see past the favourite DYNASTE here.he's wiped the floor with everything he's come across so far this season & as if he wasn't head & shoulders above the opposition already he also has the bonus of not having to carry a G1 penalty in this G2 event owing to the race conditions.

2.05 CHELTENHAM pertemps hurdle final

now it gets interesting & unless i'm very much mistaken we come across the best handicapped horse of the week in SAM WINNER.if you take his triumph hurdle fourth literally he COULD have anything upto TWENTY POUNDS in hand of this field & i don't say that lightly.he was a neck behind the nicky henderson trained grandouet that day who was still travelling well when coming a cropper in the champion on tuesday & the stable have done an unbelievable job of getting him into the race on a mark of 140.he couldn't go the pace that day & finished like a train and in my opinion the longer trip can only bring out FURTHER improvement.he then had an unsuccesful spell over fences & warmed up for this by beating 160 rated hurdler peddlers cross in a jumpers bumper which is still very smart form & whilst his triumph hurdle run was two years ago he is still only six.hes got very few miles on the clock having had only nine lifetime starts & i'm expecting a massive run.

2.40 CHELTENHAM ryanair chase

again not a very inspired selection & i think CUE CARD can get the better of first lieutenant here.i'm not sure the irish raider wants a trip as sharp as this to show his best & the tizzard runner's 7l second in last years arkle behind sprinter sacre now looks very good form after the way he put his rivals to the sword today.

3.20 CHELTENHAM world hurdle

now we get to the NAP & i think some of you might be surprised here.i'm going to weigh in with last years 3rd SMAD PLACE.alan kings gelding ran a blinder last year & with the winner & the runner up missing from this years renewal the doors open for him.oscar whiskey is held on last years running & the ground was like a bog when he was beaten by reve de sivola at christmas.all 3 of his career wins have come on gd/sft going & he seems to be the forgotten horse in this & i'm expecting a massive run tomorrow.

4.00 CHELTENHAM byrne group plate

the NB bet of the day goes here & its the tim vaughan trained TARTAK.hes now a massive 15lb below his last winning mark & has been hampered by the heavy ground this season.this is his optimum trip & i don't believe he stays a yard further than this so you can forgive his last four runs (2 on heavy &2 over 3m).his reappearance was probable his best run of the season in hindsight behind nadiya de la vega & it was only late on that the lack of a previous outing told.he'll feel like a spring chicken running round here off 10-3 & the booking of dickie johnson off a low weight is very eye catching.

BETS SUMMARY:

2pts e/w SMAD PLACE 3.20 (nap) 12/1 boylesports

1pt e/w TARTAK 4.00 (nb) 22/1 coral

2pts win SAM WINNER 2.05 9/2 paddypower

DYNASTE 1.30 13/8 boylesports
CUE CARD 2.40 7/2 ladbrokes
2pts win double

another 10pt day tomorrow & its time to lock horns with the old enemy in a fight to the death now we're at the half way point!! i'm going in quite heavy tomorrow & the results will define wether i come out on top this year or not but the tin hats on & i'm leading the charge!!lol many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Tuesday 12 March 2013

12/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well we certainly didn't cover ourselves in glory today.the days showpiece being taken by hurricane fly & sometimes you just have to hold your hands & accept you got it wrong & this is one of those times im afraid.he was absolutly imperious today & you can only admire the first champion to regain his crown since comedy of errors in the 70's.we'll dust ourselves down though & charge head first into tomorrow, remember what i said yesterday,no quarter will be given or expected this week so on we march with our tin hat at the ready!!!

1.30 CHELTENHAM 4m national hunt chase

the amateurs take centre stage in the first race tomorrow & this looks like its going to turn into a real war of attrition to be honest.theres the usual strong invasion from the emerald isle with representatives from the top yards but where going to take a chance on the venetia williams trained EMPERORS CHOICE.hes won over the furthest distance of all todays runners & the further hes gone the better hes got so far this term culminating with a win in the surrey national last time out over 3m 4f.hes from a stamina packed family being a full brother to two winners over decent trips & being by sire of the moment on the NH scene in flemnsfirth he'll be plugging on when others have cried enough i can assure you.

2.05 CHELTENHAM 2m 5f neptune investment novices hurdle

the first G1 of the afternoon looks like a cracking contest to be honest with the willie mullins trained pont alexandre heading the market.on a strict line of form he has the beating of the gigginstown stud representative rule the world but that runner has to be respected on his last run when taking apart a G2 field at naas with todays scorer champagne fever a full 40l behind although wether that form stands up as such is yet to be seen.we're going to go with the nicky henderson trained CHATTERBOX who i think can only improve for the step up in trip & he put todays supreme novices' hurdle runner up my tent or yours to the sword at the end of last year on heavy ground so the surface should hold no fears and that now looks very decent form.

2.40 CHELTENHAM 3m RSA novices chase

another cracking contest awaits & this really is a top quality affair.hadrians approach & unioniste are closely matched on previous running but the henderson runner has only ran on flat tracks so far & his jumping has been far from fluent which puts me off.ruby walsh chooses unioniste over boston bob & thats a clear sign the mullins runner may struggle.goulanes will stay longer than the mother in law but after only one start over fences his lack of experience may tell so i'm going to go NAP in this race with another venetia williams trained runner in HOUBLON DES OBEAUX.he has always looked a chaser in the making & ran a blinder when 4th in last years pertemps final over the smaller obstacles & has made a solid start over fences if being unspectacular.hes finished behind some very smart performers this term & he'll be powering up that hill and certainly won't mind the underfoot conditions either.

BETS SUMMARY:

2pts e/w HOUBLON DES OBEAUX 2.40 (nap) 16/1 paddypower

1pt e/w CHATTERBOX 2.05 (nb) 12/1 stanjames

1pt e/w EMPERORS CHOICE 1.30 25/1 stanjames

i'm not going to do a preview on the champion chase as all the superlatives have already been spoken about sprinter sacre but whilst i do think hes a machine & will win this is by far the strongest line up hes contested thus far & 2011 winner sizing europe is no mug by any means.the coral cup if you want the winner of that then buy a raffle ticket & a pin as the race is a complete lottery to be honest & fair play if you crack it & find the winner! hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow & find a few decent priced winners.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

Monday 11 March 2013

11/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! it's here!! it's cheltenham eve!! whoop whoop get ready for the greatest show on turf ladies & gentleman as i think we may be witness to some special performances from some very special horses over the next few days so without further a do lets get stuck straight in...

1.30 CHELTENHAM supreme novices hurdle

alot of people seem to think this is a given with forecast favourite my tent or yours being backed heavily after taking a G3 handicap last time pulling double but firstly he's done all his winning on flat tracks upto now..hows he going to act round here?? secondly he got bogged down on his penultimate start & went from travelling well to finding nothing in the space of five strides & finally this is another step up in class to the highest level & i think he'll be found wanting & the horse i'm taking him on with is DODGING BULLETS from the paul nicholls yard.he's already proven himself on the track & has arguably the best collateral form in the book with his third in the christmas hurdle behind the ill fated darlan looking quite good now & had a couple of useful yardsticks in cinders & ashes and countrywide flame behind him that day on what was unsuitable ground.don't get me wrong i'm certainly not expecting top of the ground tomorrow but the going stick was 4.2 that day at kempton which is the worst i've known it & he pulled far to hard in the early stages leaving the tank empty on the run but it was to his credit he stayed on well for 3rd to be honest.

2.05 CHELTENHAM arkle novices chase

this race is simple.. can OVERTURN shovel enough coal on the burners to get simonsig off the bridle.. i think the answer is YES! i take on board all the superlatives being touted around about the henderson inmate but donald mccains charge is no mug by any stretch of the imagination & he'll find more IF simonsig gets on his quarters i can assure you of that as he's as game as a pebble in all fairness.he was only a couple of pounds off being the best there is over hurdles & only found rock on ruby to good for him in last years champion & IF simonsig does beat him.. he'll of deserved it thats for certain! the only time simonsig was beaten he travelled like the winner until finding little off the bridle & if i'm honest i think he wants slightly further as well.overturn literally hasn't touched a twig this season & has attacked his fences with real gusto & i really think the bookies have this race priced all wrong.

2.40 CHELTENHAM JLT handicap chase

i'll be backing the moore family to win this one with there old warrior FRUITEY O'ROONEY.last years runner up comes here on a pound lower mark & showed his well being last time out finishing behind the venetia williams trained katenko.he looked for all money like he was going to fold like a pack of cards that day but he battled like a terrier to get placed & thats the sort of spirit you need to get you up that hill in front.

3.20 CHELTENHAM champion hurdle

i've spent hours on this & think i must of watched replays of every graded hurdle race thats been run over the last 12 months!! trying to find some value is difficult with such a small field but the only horse who's prep has gone to plan is ZARKANDER.not the most original of selections i know but this season he has the form in the book, will love the ground & more importantly he's a year older than last year & a year wiser.5-y-o's have an awful record in this & last years race was only the fifth of his career.he looks to have strengthened up both physically & mentally this year and his form his absolutly rock solid, simple as that.i had it down to grandouet & this one & on the form of there stan james hurdle running it puts the henderson runner bang there but his prep for the race hasn't exactly gone to plan & he also won't want it to soft.i take on board that hurricane fly has won 14 G1's but all he's proved this season is he's better than thousand stars.at the age of nine he can't be getting any quicker & the 2011 race he won was far from a vintage renewal in my opinion & i'll happily take him on tomorrow.

4.00 CHELTENHAM x-country handicap chase

i'm going to take a chance on the ground being dry enough for SIZING AUSTRALIA.his winning form is on a sound surface but he has some decent placed form on a softer surface & looks to be on a workable mark.this unique course takes some getting round & C&D winners seem to do well as a rule.

BETS SUMMARY:

2pt win zarkandar 3.20 (nap) 4/1 bluesquare

2pt win overturn 2.05 (nb) 7/2 paddypower

1pt e/w dodging bullets 1.30 11/1 coral

1pt e/w fruitey o'rooney 2.40 11/1 paddypower

1pt e/w sizing australia 4.00 14/1 boylesports

well a total of 10pts staked tomorrow on day one & we're going straight for the juggular! there is only ONE festival & it really is the equine olympics!! get stuck in or go home people as there will be no  quarter given by punters or bookies come 1.30 tomorrow, simple as that!! i hope you've found my blog both interesting & informative & i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! #gameon

THE BLOG WILL RETURN ON MONDAY

EVENING WITH A FULL PREVIEW

OF THE FIRST DAY OF THE

CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL

many thanks for following

Friday 8 March 2013

8/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well this is simple, winners are needed!! another disappointing day i have to be honest as i really fancied the NAP today but as regular readers know all to well... when the vipers cornered... HE STRIKES!!! :-)

1pt e/w MIAS BOY 2.55 WOLVES (nap) 11/1 william hill

when times are tough it's always good to turn to an old friend & thats what we'll do here.george baker rode us a couple of tasty winners last month & hopefully he'll get us on the scoresheet tomorrow.this lads been a model of concistency this term culminating last time out behind the improving solar deity & luckily the handicapper has left him alone as he's still 4lb below his last a/w winning mark & his record round here reads..1-2-2-4-1-3-4.

0.5pt e/w MONSIEUR CHEVALIER 2.20 WOLVES 16/1 bet365

now we are taking a bit of a punt here but i've been watching this one for a while now & he's got some serious back class to be honest.he won no less than six out of his ten starts as a juvenile when under the care of richard hannon culminating in a group 3 success in the molecomb stakes at glorious goodwood.thats serious form whichever way you look at it & his last two runs have been particularly eye catching for contrasting reasons,on his penultimate start he was trying to give solar deity 9lbs & was beaten 3l under what can only be described as a "tender" ride to say the least under a very weak apprentice then last time he was trying to give the same horse 6lbs & after completly making a mess of the start throwing away a good 10 lengths was finally beaten 4 lengths. tomorrow they go off levels & more importantly he drops a furlong which i think could be crucial as he was a proper little speedball as a juvenile.he's also still an entire which is strange in an older horse & i can't help but think that he's been showing a bit at home in order for them to keep perservering & this certainly isn't the strongest listed race that will ever be run to be fair.

well we certainly haven't had the greatest start to the month of march & hopefully the tide will turn tomorrow in time for the cheltenham festival.only four more sleeps until the tapes go up & i must admit i'm really looking forward to it this year.the one thing that i hope is that we get decent ground as so many good horses have spent this season stood in there boxes due to the going & at championship level a good clean fight on a level playing field is all that i ask for.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

7/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well a bitter disappointment today turned out to be as i really thought i'd found a couple of tasty ones but onwards & upwards.the cheltenham festival is now knocking on our door & next week the blog will concentrate solely on the festival with a full write up every evening.in the mean time hopefully we can find a few at nice prices elsewhere..

1pt e/w COURAGEOUS 6.10 WOLVES (nap) 8/1 bet365

if the form book means anything this lad should make a bold bid from the front tomorrow.with a 15lb pull in the weights he should be able to turn around recent form with the forecast favourite & promising apprentice robert tart can hopefully land the first leg of a double for #teamchoochoo followers.

1pt e/w MAZ 7.40 WOLVES (nb) 16/1 bet365

this lad has been dropped a full 9lb since we put him up as our NB selection when finishing third over track at trip at the start of the year.with robert tarts claim he comes here on a relative feather weight & can take full advantage of the drop into the basement grade & land the jockey & us a tasty double on the day.

hopefully tomorrow can throw us up a couple of nice winners & start building the festival fund!! :-) many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!

5/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well we've certainly pounded the woodwork this week so far with the nap again netting us some nice place money at double figure odds but the bullseye so far eludes us, lets hope tomorrow sees a turn in fortune..

1pt e/w EVEN BOLDER 2.30 LINGFIELD (nap) 20/1 bet365

he's now become ridiculously well handicapped & with all his opponents either being on career high marks or with other question marks against them he can take advantage of his tumbling mark.

1pt e/w OUTLAW TORN 3.00 LINGFIELD (nb) 14/1 bet365

has now dropped back to a workable mark & from a decent draw can get out & hopefully lead these a merry dance.

1pt e/w ROCKWEILLER 6.30 KEMPTON 12/1 bet365

won off a pound higher mark over C&D last summer when returning from a 194 day absence & this shrewd stable have booked graham lee which catches the eye.grab an early price as i think this one could be heavily backed tomorrow.

its quite competitive racing tomorrow on the a/w with a few quality animals out to boot! this is a sure sign that the turf flat season isn't far away so be careful as to whats being competitive & whats not as  alot will be warming up for the grass so an air of caution would be wise before going in head first.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

4/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well slight improvement today with the NAP getting placed at a tasty 20/1 but alas,no cigar.we're back on the a/w at southwell tomorrow which is my favourite course of all the artificial surfaces so hopefully we can find a couple of winners...

1pt e/w BONNIE PRINCE BLUE 2.10 S'WELL (nap) 10/1 bv

finally drops back to the correct trip as he doesn't stay further than 7f on a bus & comes here on a winning mark, strong nap.

1pt e/w HOT SUGAR 2.40 S'WELL (nb) 14/1 bv

comes here on his last winning mark & the stable have a staggering 80% s/r at the nottinghamshire venue this season.on breeding he should relish the surface & looks cracking value to me.

bit of a quite time at the minute with everything geared up to next weeks cheltenham festival but hopefully we can find a few nice things this week to load up the coffers for next weeks onslaught!! many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)

3/3/2013

Evening sportsfans!! well we certainly didn't cover ourselves in glory today & i just can't seem to get a handle on the NH scene at the minute.hopefully the switch back to the a/w tomorrow can see a return to winning ways...

2pts e/w ROWE PARK 5.30 KEMPTON (nap) 16/1 paddypower

ran a blinder on his last start over 6f behind the very progressive 3-y-o muhdiq off this mark,a repeat of that would be good enough to take this & i'll be happy to take on the short priced favourite here.

1pt e/w SHIRITAKI 6.30 KEMPTON (nb) 7/1 paddypower

was just touched off by bridge the gap last time & that looks to be the best form on offer here.

1pt e/w FOREST EDGE 5.00 KEMPTON 6/1 ladbrokes

was behind crew cut last time but gets a handy weight pull & more importantly a much better draw & can lead these a merry dance from the front end.

with the cheltenham festival now knocking on our door hopefully we can start making a bit of a splash with our jumps selections but  i'm happy to "stick to what where good at" for the time being. the a/w has been a happy hunting ground for us this last 3/4 weeks although i must admit kempton isn't my favourite of the polytrack venues.many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money & happy punting!! :-)

1pt e/w GLOBAL FLYER 4.00 HUNTINGDON (nap) 12/1 B365

1pt e/w AMROTH BAY 3.00 HUNTINGDON (nb) 11/1 BV

both look to be on decent marks & can go well at nice prices.apologies for not putting up a full blog today but time was against me unfortunatly.i'll keep this short & sweet as its saturday night & i'm sure you've got better things to do than listen to me drivel on so i wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow & happy punting!! :-)
