Evening sportsfans!! a bit late on parade today & ive got matchsticks holding my eyes open now the red bulls wearing off so i'll be as brief as i can..

Evening sportsfans!! a bit of a drought setting in at the minute & we're now facing an uphill struggle to finish the month in profit but hopefully tomorrow sees a return to form..

after finishing down the field last time out in the arlington million he will find this far more to his liking. he was stuck wide that day so you can pretty much scrub that run but his form prior to that is rock solid. he gave montiridge 13lb & a thrashing on that ones seasonal debut & whilst the hannon horse has undoubtedly come on since he was far superior that day & on 9lb worse terms i cant see any reason for such a big turnaround in form. the race should be run perfectly for him as theres at least four or five of these that want to be on the pace & i can see them cutting each others throats. the ground will be to lively for old penitent & on a line through aljamaaheer & gregorian hes closely matched with soft falling rain but the south african bred horse doesn't look like he'll want quick ground to me but time will tell.

her fourth behind hasopop over C&D in may is turning out to be quite a hot race with at least six winners coming out of it already & then backed that up with a fine second to boomerang bob in a listed contest which is also turning out to be a very decent race with the likes off mince & sirius prospect (won a handicap off 102 & a listed race since) in behind that day. her two latest efforts haven't been as good but they where over 7f, back at her optimum trip at her beloved newmarket she'll take all the beating here.

Evening sportsfans!! a bit of a head scratcher today if i'm honest & we're just not getting the rub of the green at the minute. i'm not one for excuses so its a case of wipe our mouths..and move on... simple as that..

5pts win PEARL CASTLE 3.05 goodwood (nap) 7/2 bet365

the step up to 12f is perfect for this son of montjeu now he takes on his elders for the first time & that massive weight for age allowance can do us a favour once again. the horse he beat last time out has since come out & won off a mark of 83 (easily) and the horse over 7l back in 4th pasaka boy has also come out & won off a mark of 84 giving the form a rock solid look about it. we know he goes on the track when he handled it fine when winning his maiden here in a race that has thrown up five winners from six runners. the further he goes the better he'll be & he'll gallop these into submission here.

4pts win SUGAR BOY 3.40 goodwood (nb) 9/2 bet victor

right then it doesn't take much to disect this race as brown panther wants an extra mile & grandeur has had three runs with cut in the ground resulting in three defeats but back on his favoured surface this lad looks rock solid here on his first start for the botti camp. i'm not convinced that he didn't stay the 12f trip last time out & i have a theory it may well have been the ground that undone him although it was no disgrace as it was a G1 contest. on his penultimate start in the sandown classic trial he had the likes of eye of the storm (pattern race winner since) galileo rock (since placed in three classics) and libertarian (G2 winner since & placed in the derby) behind him & he brings top level 3yo group form into this listed contest & he'll have far to much ammunition for these on this ground.

Evening sportsfans!! a quite day today to be honest as there wasn't alot that got me excited but hopefully we've found a few for tomorrow..

this really isn't the strongest G3 ever run & with underfoot conditions to suit this lad should have a bit to much class for these. he has a phenominal record with cut in the ground & his record with soft in the going description in pattern races reads.. 1-3-1-2-1-2-1-5-2 (the 5th was in a G2 race) so the more rain that falls the better its as simple as that.

Evening sportsfans!! not alot of value lurking today so i decided to have a quiet day and as i'm very superstitious friday the 13th isn't a day to be getting involved!! lets see if we can find a few tasty priced winners on doncasters classic card..

after spending his last seven runs in pattern company this will be a welcome drop in grade for david o'mearas charge. he loves to get his toe in & the last time he had his favoured conditions was when less than three lengths 4th to maarek at naas in a listed race & thats a very decent level of form to be honest. hes only 3lbs higher than when winning last years event & with his favoured underfoot conditions he can get back in the winners enclosure here.

this is simple..if you forgive him his run on what i think was unsuitable ground at the curragh then theres no way he should be this price. he looked tailor made for this sort of trip when staying on in the derby to take second with galileos rock in third yet with the switch to soft ground pretty much gauranteed to suit the now godolphin owned runner & not the wachman runner then i'm struggling to understand the betting to be honest. he took the scalp of trading leather in the dante so that form looks smart now & it could well of been that he didn't like travelling to the curragh, some horses don't but that certainly wasn't his true running & i'm prepared to give him another chance to show hes not been godolphinized by the switch to charlie appleby & he did wander about a bit in the closing stages of his dante win so the application of cheekpieces is a big plus also.

having spent the last 12 months in no mans land as regards his handicap mark he finally gets down to somewhere he can be competitive off & has slipped a pound below his last winning mark now, he'll love any cut in the ground & his form really isn't to shabby upon closer inspection..a short head second in a Group 3..2 lengths fourth behind last seasons sprinting sensation ortensia.. 3 lengths fourth behind sole power in a listed contest..thats not far off top level stuff & i think he looks cracking value here.

you can forget anything this lad has done on anything other than soft ground as thats imperative for him & anyone that seen him take a decent Group 3 field apart last season couldn't fail to have been impressed, he hammered a decent yardstick in maarek 5l that day & was value for more. the next time he encountered soft ground was when trying to give weight to mince in another G3 contest & the only other time there has been soft in the going description for him was when trying to give no other than black caviar 3lbs when being beaten just a length in last years diamond jubilee stakes. thats top drawer stuff & the more rain that falls the better.

Evening sportsfans!! dream catcher placing the highlight of an otherwise fruitless day & we need to find a few winners & a bit sharpish if im honest. now tomorrow is going to be perilous punting wise with rain forecast all over the place..will it arrive..will it get into the ground?? to say its a guessing game is an understatement but i've done my selections based on THERE BEING RAIN so i can only urge you to check the going reports tomorrow as this could backfire if it doesn't arrive...

theres a real problem for quite a few of these in this race in the fact that they will want to get on the front end & rolling but they cant all lead! i think one or two throats maybe cut in the process & old cono zur will make sure this is run at a breakneck pace which will suit us down to the ground & after only 12 lifetime starts our lad is still relativley unexposed. after being stepped up in grade on his last two starts where he cut no ice the drop back into C4 company will be far more suited & he can get his season back on track here.
