10/9/2014

Evening sportsfans!! tomorrow sees the start of the leger festival so hopefully i can dig out a few winners for us. firstly i have to say keep stakes to a minimum, looks a decent quality card but with the two main races being confined to fillies & mares they really are the quickest way to the poor house & you'll have to walk a long way to find a wealthy man that ever trusted a woman with his cash!!

2.10 doncaster (sceptre stakes G3 7f)

braggings the obvious starting point having hacked up in a handicap last time but this is a different ball game altogether although there are far more with questions against there names than answers here to be really honest. lucky kristale is a dual G2 winner but there has to be a serious question as to.. 1) wether shes trained on & 2) does she stay further than 6f without the aid of a jet plane? i think the answer to both is no so i wouldnt bother with that one & theres also frankels little sister whos pretty much in the same boat regards the trip although she does get a 3lb pull woth j wonder for just over a length on there running at newbury so discounted, but not as easily. plenty of others that would be worthy of a mention but my lucky pin has fallen on KIYOSHI of charlie hills. looked a superstar last year when winning the albany but went via ascot high street in the final furlong that day so clearly can have her own ideas about the game but the key could well be the application of cheekpieces for the first time tomorrow & she really has been highly tried with half of her eight lifetime start being in G1 company & even when dropped into listed company she bumped into no other than euro charlene who went on to win the G1 beverley D stakes in america, hows your luck!! she has valid excuses this term with the ground being against her in the falmouth & last time out in france & i'm not convinced she truly stays a mile so 7f on a decent surface should suit her down to the ground & looks a solid e/w play at around 10/1 with most firms.

2.40 doncaster (park hill stakes G2 1m 6f)

you'll have to go along way to find a a cheaper G2 than this i know that much & someones going to grab some cheap black type thats for sure. most have it to prove at the trip but seal of approval heads the market & is a G1 winner but dear lord that fillies & mares race on champions day that day was as bad as a G1 gets & connections might rue not whisking her straight off to the paddocks & cashing in. venus de milo could be the one to improve most from the step up in trip but the run last time in the yorkshire oaks was far to bad to be true so has it all to prove here. groovejet wouldn't be the worst e/w bet in the world at a daft price as she will be plodding on when the others are doing there nails & looking in the mirror when they've had enough in the final couple of furlongs but i'm going to take a chance on MOMENT IN TIME. she was very progressive last year winning a G3 & culminating in a third placing in the G1 E.P. taylor stakes at woodbine before heading off to meydan in the early part of the year but it didnt really work out for her & came back with a bit of a hangover from there & wasn't the same horse on her return which isn't unusual for some horses as they just dont take to the change in climate & it takes them time to recover. she has looked like shes been coming back to herself on her last couple of runs though & was certainly not disgraced when fourth last time out in the american st leger. its a speculative punt but at around 14/1 one which i think worth it.

kiyoshi e/w (10/1 widely available)

moment in time e/w (14's available in places but plenty of 12/1)

best of luck if you play.

Evening sportsfans!! well what a return to blogging we made on sunday evening with the sole selection generalyse obliging at a tasty 7/1. had a bit of time spare this evening with the england game being about as interesting as listening to the ex-wife droan on about..well i dont really know as i switch off after a couple of seconds..seems to be my default setting!lol lets see if we can find a couple of winners tomorrow...

7.10 wolves

a tricky race at first glance but bogsnog could be the value here, this is his grade & his C&D (two from two in 7f C5 races here) & comes here a well handicapped horse. the key to him is wether he gets an easy lead & he could well do that here. the other obvious pace in the race is wotalad but hes drawn on the outside of bogsnog so with a half decent break all the bog needs to do is hold his position early to force the other wide enough to force him to drop in unless the jockey on him completely loses his head & tries to take us on round the outside of the first bend but i really cant see it as it would be tactical suicide. at around 16/1 currently he looks excellent value to add to his impressive course record. on this new tapeta surface you ideally want horses that have form on southwells fibresand & whilst he hasn't raced there his sire moss vale has a decent record there so he should be ok.

8.40 wolves

another trappy contest with some old favourites but red cape looks to have a decent shout to me. he falls to his last winning mark over C&D when beating tyfos who has won & run with great credit since so the form has a very solid look about it. whilst he has run with credit recently on turf hes far better on an artificial surface & even his last run on the a/w since his win behind come on dave has been franked since with that one rattling up a couple of victories recently & this really isn't a strong race by any means.

e/w bogsnog 16/1 paddy power

e/w red cape 10/1 paddy power

e/w double

remember you can find my selections daily by following @teamformratings & getting involved in there e-mail service.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & as always good luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.

Evenings sportsfans!! its been a while but certainly good to be back! as most of you will know for the last 6 months or so i have been tipping via nialls blog at niallers123.com which i have thoroughly enjoyed & had some good laughs with the lads on there but nialls now going off to do his masters degree & i wish him well in all his future endeavours. i am also the man behind @teamformratings along with @ptmahon & selections will be on there daily when time doesn't permit me to blog & the email service consists of the days handicap ratings from our private handicap along with both system & advised bets so be sure to give them a follow. onto pressing matters & firstly i think its about time the #stealingaliving league made a long awaited return, plenty out there at it so lets start capturing them again!! also no doubt many are reading looking for a winner or two & hopefully we can find a couple of those as well. not the greatest days racing tomorrow i must admit although part of me is glad the evening racing is now slowing down as when theres five & six meetings a day of mediocre stuff its perilous to say the least. like i say theres not alot to get excited about tomorrow but i would be tempted to have an each way play on..

GENERALYSE 5.40 leicester

who drops to a winning mark and has C&D form which is useful at a track like leicester as its alot more undulating than people think. top offer could be a danger depending on how much ability he retains & for a horse that ran in camelots guineas it really is a case of how far the mighty have fallen. smokethatthunders is another one that could come under consideration but i cant help but feel hes a better horse on an artificial surface but at around 7/1 generalyse looks a solid e/w punt & also comes out top on the #teamform ratings. hopefully we can return with a winner!!

onto the #stealingaliving league & some old favourites mixed with a few new entries but as always any suggestions you may have fire them in during the week for next sundays edition!

10. my dustbin men

seriously lads you've not been for two & a half weeks..words will be had upon your return.

9. remy

how do you fail a medical at one club then fly through one at another? not to sure how that works & i dont like the bellend anyway..

8. anyone with the title "director of football"

what do these people actually do? most of them couldnt direct f**king traffic in all honesty..

7. epsoms flagman

well..he may as well be stealing a living as clearly no one takes any notice of him!

6. rishi persad

well it just wouldnt be the #stealingaliving league without the royalty that is rishi!

5. winker watson

whisked off to stud at the end of his 2yo career..and so far hes managed to sire the winner of a seller..absolutely awful sire who should be banned from inpreganting any more mares instantly.

4. harry herbert

highclere cock..simple as that. how do you get off the list harry? run that boat telescope over the right trip!

3. clare balding

still flits from channel to channel as she pleases & her channel 4 racing contract must have more holes than a culinder to be honest.

2. ashley young

goes down more often than a kings cross hooker.

1. LOUIS VAN GAAL

arise sir louis! came in as the saviour of manchester united & the new "chosen one"..however united are still yet to claim a win & with being dumped out of the egg cup in midweek unfortunatley louis you are.. STEALING A LIVING my friend!!

i fully anticipate an all out assault so when ive posted this on twitter i think i'll take cover for the evening!!lol many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & have a good end to your weekend.

16/3/2014

Evening sportsfans!! well after todays goings on it would of been rude not to pull the #stealingaliving league out of the woodwork now wouldn't it! the one person who won't be making an appearance this week is channel 4 racings very own sir rishi persad. whilst he remains a firm favourite with #stealingaliving fans his exploits this week in the charity race at cheltenham where superb to be fair to the lad who raised alot of money for a very good cause so this week rishi gets a week off & a cap doff from us all at #teamchoochoo :-)

tomorrows selections..

1pt e/w YEEOOW 4.20 kempton (nap) 5/1 bet365

will have blown the cobwebs away last time out after a break & falls to his last winning turf mark. his C&D record reads 1-2-1-2 & martin harley has 3 wins & 4 places on him from 10 rides.

1pt e/w ISLAND LEGEND 2.20 kempton (nb) 14/1 bet365

another multiple C&D winner that is now a very well handicapped horse.

1pt e/w MAISON BRILLET 3.20 kempton (iwac) 8/1 bet365

showed a bit more last time out & is on a winning mark here.

*prices correct as of 5pm when this evenings email was sent out*

now onto what i'm sure your all after & its this weeks #stealingaliving top ten!!!

10. wayne rooney (moaning twat)
300k a week!! seriously??

9. robin van persie (out of form striker)
robin needs to find his batman.. and quick!!!

8. marouane fellaini (man without a barber)
28m...LOL!!

7. ole gunnar solskjaer (man with a very strange accent)
oh ole.. you should never have got involved with vincent.. it was only ever going to end in tears!!

6. sue the cleaner (my cleaning lady!)
shes back! phoned in sick today though.. hmmm.. strange how you where spotted in yates' break dancing after ireland won the rugby.. we'll discuss this tomorrow.. oh wait.. its st patricks day.. see you tuesday then!!! (yes, shes irish!)

5. steve bruce (proper ugly bastard)
just don't like the man..

4. clare balding (rug muncher)
whilst everyone was getting there homework for cheltenham in our favourite rug muncher was... ponsing around at crufts! i really dont know how she does it but her contract must be amazing!!

3. santa claus (man with a beard)
works one night a week.. dont know how hes escaped us for so long!!

2. fernando torres (used to play for a great club)
i had the misfortune of watching him against villa & looks a shadow of the player he was when he played for the greatest club in the land. "there was something in the air that night, the stars are bright FERNANDO!!!!!"

1. david moyes (inept fool)
if you gave this man a brand new cunt he'd fuck it up i'm sure!! words actually fail me now where the footballing genius is concerned..

well cheltenham was very kind to us today, all lays landing to go with wins for vautour on the blog & those that follow my twitter timeline will also have found holywell hidden in there at a tasty 10/1. our a/w selections grabbed a couple of places at 12/1 & 7/1 advised but it was a case of pounding the crossbar on that front to be honest & i'll settle for needing a wheelbarrow for my money rather than a skip today!!!lol

tomorrows advices:

1pt e/w sizing europe 3.20 (nap) 14/1 bet victor

never out of the first two in four championship races over fences here at prestbury park. he has to be the value play here & this drying ground won't bother him at all.

1pt e/w get me out of here 2.40 (nb) 20/1 bet victor

another one that won't mind the ground, goes well fresh & now looks to be on a workable mark. first time cheekpieces may well spark him back to life & he was second in this two years back off a 7lb higher mark. he was an eyecatcher last time out when claimer ridden but his will be a different ball game with mccoy throwing the kitchen sink, pots & pans & the shithouse at him.

LAY sire de grugy 3.20

5 times hes contested C1 contests going left handed.. FIVE TIMES HES BEEN BEATEN.. has twice tried to conquer the cheltenham hill.. TWICE HES FAILED.. come on then backers lets be having ya money!! :-)

Evening sportsfans!! well i think frustrating has to be the word used to describe things since i returned to blogging this month.. 3 advised naps finishing 2nd, 3rd & 3rd after being backed off the boards although advised at 13/2, 6/1 & 6/1 each way its been far from a disaster so hopefully we can nail one tomorrow..

1pt e/w MASKED DANCE 4.55 southwell (nap) 5/1 paddy power

i think scott dixons charge bumped into a very well handicapped horse in masai moon the other day & this looks a shrewd bit of placing from the local trainer to find a weaker race. he also puts young matthew hopkins up on top for the first time & his 7lb claim is for free as the lad can certainly ride & this looks there for the taking.

0.5pt e/w POWERFUL WIND 4.25 south'll (nb) 9/1 paddy power

ron harris' charge gets a decent weight pull with sleepy blue ocean & moorhouse lad on there running back in january & i think hes another one whos jockeys claim can make all the difference. he goes well on the fibresand surface & could well be up to this.

Eveing sportsfans!! well if we thought monday was a marker then we couldn't of got much closer with the follow up arrow as todays nap was beaten on the bob in a photo a nose which whilst frustrating it is warming to know we're in the right area!! with a bit of luck tomorrow can see us back to winning ways..

1pt e/w ALNOOMAS 7.00 kempton (nap) 6/1 bet365

this looks a plot all over it, down into a C6, first time headgear & after looking well handicapped for a while now he drops in here 4lb below his last winning mark. add to that his phenominal C&D record of 1-1-1-2 & he looks primed & ready to go here.

0.5pts e/w GYPSY RIDER 2.30 lingfield (nb) 14/1 paddy power

after looking long & hard at the usual suspects black truffle & perfect pastime who both look like they can threaten off there current marks i have been slowly swayed to this fella. he falls onto his last winning turf mark & on a line of form with perfect pastime on 27/11/2013 including young ned curtis' claim he gets a 10lb pull in the weights for a head & a neck beating so there has to be every chance of him turning that form around here & he looks the value to me.

anyone wishing to recieve the email service with full rated cards for the days a/w racing along with a full write up & the advisory service please click on the archive section to the right of the blog & have a look at the blog post on 2/3//2014 for full details. email ianmallard123@gmail.com

3/3/2014

Evening sportsfans!! well i think we'll call today a marker on our return to the blog, a slight loss with the nap netting us some place money after being absolutely smashed all day into 9/4 from 13/2 but hopefully we can build on it tomorrow with a day at the beach.

tomorrows advised bets:

1pt e/w VERY FIRST BLADE 4.10 southwell (nap) 6/1 bet365

has been running with credit recently & i think he may have been a tad unlucky bumping into a few well handicapped types on the day. hes a handy 3lb below his last winning mark still & i think he may well be better suited by this 7f nowadays as things seem to happen a bit to quickly for him over the sprint trips & joe fanning knows how to get a decent tune out of him.

0.5pt e/w MONZINO 3.10 southwell (nb) 20/1 bet365

has slipped to a decent mark & it will be a case of sooner rather than later now for him surely. loves the fibresand is 2lb below his last winning mark & in a weaker race.. what are you waiting for..
grab the value!!!

anyone interested in joining the upcoming email service which starts on THURSDAY evening with the full cards for the following days a/w racing rated with full write up please register your interest by sending an email to ianmallard123@gmail.com
there is also a full advisory service available as well so be sure to get involved, more details are available on yesterdays blog post if you click on the archive.

2/3/2014

Evening sportsfans!! it's been a while but certainly good to be back!! seems like its been a long winter to me but i can now smell the spring air which means the turf flat season is just around the corner & it can't come soon enough for me!! to coincide with this i am starting a new email service, full details can be found below tomorrows selections.

1pt e/w PEACE SEAKER 5.15 kempton (nap) 13/2 bet victor

at first sight he doesn't look that overly well treated being 5lb above his last winning mark but if you have a look at his recent placed form theres some serious tools in there. his second behind forest edge (off this mark) now sticks out like a sore thumb as that has since won twice including a handicap off 99 & is now rated 104. he backed that up with a close up run behind addictive dream (winner again since) then was placed behind lancelot du lac whos a very progressive 3yo now rated 103. he then looked a bit jaded on his final couple of starts but may well have had some hard races in quick succession to be fair. he drops back in grade to a C4 for the first time since his last win & from a decent stall he can nip out & grab the rail run. the lack of a recent run is a slight concern but the stable are shrewd & if he wasn't ready i think they may have sent him over the wrong trip not have a pop where he's a C&D winner.

1pt e/w HONOURABLE KNIGHT 4.15 kempton (nb) 25/1 bet vic

previous C&D winner who's shown nothing since returning from a break but he drops in here on his last winning mark which we don't have to go very far back to find. he does have a chequered profile but he has a habit of backing a bad run up with a good one & a good one up with a bad one but on the 3 times hes dropped to a mark of 68 on the a/w in the last 12 months he's returned figures of 2-1-1 so it would be no surprise to see him in the mix here.

now onto the new email service that i am starting. as many of you are well aware i have my own private handicap ratings which have served me well for the last 12 years & now for the first time these figures will be available to the general public but as #teamchoochoo shareholders will verify when i do something i put my own "twist" on it so to speak & thats what i've done here. alongside the ratings i want to run an "advisory" service so to speak. during my time on twitter & blog writing it has become blatantly clear to me that there are plenty of mug punters about so i asked myself the question.. why?? we all work hard for our money so why would you want to just chuck it about on hopeless nags losing wedge after wedge? is it because they are just simply gambling addicts looking for a quick fix in which case no amount of training would repair them or is it because some people just simply don't know what there doing? what surprised me most is the answer to this is the later of the two. one person i asked didn't even know what a handicap mark was! now i don't claim to be albert einstein but come on! how in gods name can you not know this!?!? he then pointed out that he seen people tweet about "marks" and wether he thought they meant the ex-german currency i really don't know but that then moves me onto my next point.. surely if you don't know something the clever person is the one that asks the question & the stupid person is the one that keeps stum & says nowt! this is where the advisiory service will come in & help novice punters to improve there game, being spoon fed selections daily & winning a few quid is all well & good but the satisfaction must surely come from turning a losing punter into a winning one & then watch them fleece the bookies for years to come using there new found knowledge!! :-) i'm not saying i can tell you anything you can't find out for yourselves but do you have the 10 hours a day spare to dig the information out yourself? thought not..
so basically the new email service has something for everyone. all the days flat cards (handicaps) will be rated with a top 3 alongside what bets are advised. the service also includes comparing any selections you may fancy yourself against my figures to see how they come out & also the novices are more than welcome & hopefully we can turn a few of you into winners!! i will set aside a couple of hours every evening for a question & answer session with members where you can ask all the questions you are basically scared to ask on twitter but dont want to for fear of looking stupid!! sounds harsh but its true.. all the people asked why they didnt ask for help came out with the same answer.. "because i didn't want to look stupid" let me assure you i'd rather look stupid than be skint, thats a fact!! spaces on the new venture are limited for obvious reasons mainly making sure i have the time to spend on members helping them & also for liquidity purposes as it would be chaos advising a lay then emailing it out to a 1000 people who then all try & get on the exchange. along with the days ratings you will also recieve a full write up for every race so we can identify pace angles etc. for those of you who like to get in & get out on a trade angle. the write ups will hopefully get you to see how i look at a race & how i come to my conclusions & in time theres no reason why you won't be able to do it for yourself. i've been looking at providing a service for a while more by people asking if i'd do something so its time the demand outstripped the supply & hopefully it goes well. anyone interested in the email service to recieve the daily rated racecards along with write up & full advisory service please send an email to ianmallard123@gmail.com for full & further details.

Evening sportsfans!! blank day at the beach today unfortunately & tomorrow isn't exactly scintilating but we can only work with whats in front of us so we'll see what we can do..

1pt e/w TASRIH 6.50 kempton (nap) 7/1 bet365

was caught out last time out when stepped up in grade at lingfield but the return to kempton & drop back into C4 can work the trick & after only six racecourse appearances there should be plenty more to come from alan mccabes gelding on only a 2lb higher mark.

1pt e/w RYEDALE LASS 5.50 kempton (nb) 8/1 bet365

showed his best form for a while last time out over C&D and a handy 2lb drop from the handicapper can see him back in the winners enclosure here.

0.5pt e/w double

27/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! well i wont be sorry to see the back of today. an absolutely awful days racing which was actually painful to even take a watching brief to be honest. hopefully the beach can throw up a couple of winners tomorrow..

2pt win MEDITERRANEAN SEA 1.20 southwell (nap) 4/1 bet365

serana brotherton is different gravy in these events & this mile & 6f trip is absolutely perfect for john jenkins mare having a C&D record of.. 2-2-1-2-3-3-3-3 from 8 starts. she drops onto her last winning turf mark so should be more than capable of taking this back on her favoured surface.

1pt e/w AMTIRED 3.50 southwell (nb) 6/1 bet365

we put him up last time out when he stayed on to land us some place money behind ivy port & time will probably tell that he bumped into a well handicapped horse there but the pair where 8 lengths clear of the rest so the form looks strong to me.

0.5pt e/w double

i'm also going to have a pop at going through the card tomorrow with a #35T bet & an e/w accumilator on all seven..

the two selections above with..

laughing rock 1.50

stand gaurd 2.20

sofias number one 2.50

thatchmaster 3.20

ferdy 4.20

many thanks for following..

26/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! i think its safe to say that tomorrows racing is about as awful as it gets to be honest. ayr in doubt owing to the weather & wolverhampton... well words fail me on how poor it is but we'll see if we can nick a winner but i wouldn't be going mad stake wise.. theres no need to be going daft on poor racing, the battle with the bookie is a long game..

0.5pt e/w AMIS REUNIS 2.40 wolves (nap) 25/1 bet365

has ran well with credit off higher marks here at dunstall park & had methaaly behind him over C&D in november of last year & is 3lb better off with that rival so at the current prices this lad has to be the value call.

0.5pt e/w PRAVDA STREET 5.40 wolves (nb) 25/1 bet365

had his first run for the kellett yard last time out after a couple of wins in claiming company but is not badly treated here even off a mark of 70. his record here at dunstall park reads.. 2-1-2-1-2-1 and if we narrow that down to C&D it reads.. 2-1-2-2.. now do i have your attention!! clearly loves it here & if he puts his best foot forward the 25/1 could look massive around 5.45 tomorrow.

24/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! not alot to get excited about today unfortunately but tomorrows another day as they say & we'll soldier on in search of winners!!

1pt e/w CATALINAS DIAMOND 12.50 lingfield (nap) 8/1 b.v.

in times of trouble it always pays to turn to an old friend & this mares been good to us in the past. sentiment isn't the only reason though as shes now fallen 7lb below her last winning mark & looks the best treated under todays terms.

1pt e/w UNDERSTORY 4.20 lingfield (nb) 12/1 bet365

another old friend whos turn it could just well be tomorrow. comes here on his last winning mark & has ran creditably since and young robert tarts 3lb claim can swing things in his favour here.

1pt e/w ONE WAY OR ANOTHER 1.25 lingfield (iwac) 10/1 365

a real veteran at the age of 11 but he's on a mark he can be competitive off & could well run a big race here under lingfield king adam kirby.

23/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! well after rowe park got beat a nose it all went down hill from there & we collapsed faster than englands middle order batsmen in all fairness. hopefully we can get back on track tomorrow..

1pt e/w FALASTEEN 2.30 lingfield (nap) 15/2 bet victor

hasn't been in the winners enclosure for a while but hes got some very smart placed form off alot higher marks than this & now he drops into a 0-60 his chance must be there for the taking.

1pt e/w GEORGE GURU 3.05 lingfield (nb) 15/2 bet victor

this is a very tight race with various form lines that give a chance to a few of them but he gets weight off all the leading contenders & could just get the run of the race here.

1pt e/w ALNOOMAS 2.00 lingfield (iwac) 8/1 bet victor

is handily weighted on his winning form & he can get his head back in front again here where his opponents have far more questions to answer than he does.

22/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! another jolly day with the nap winning advised at 5/1 last night & we're ticking along nicely so far this month, hopefully tomorrow can follow suit..

5pt win AQUA ARDENS 2.40 southwell (nap) 2/1 bet victor

ran the revitalised noble citizen to a neck last time out & in light of that one following up over C&D the form looks absolutely rock solid. his sire nayef has a phenominal record on the fibresand so far & this is a weaker race than he contested last week & i simply cannot see him beat, simple as that.

1pt e/w ROWE PARK 2.10 southwell (nb) 7/1 skybet

has two wins from three starts here at southwell & the switch back to the surface could well be enough for him to get his head back in front here. hes now ridiculously well handicapped but im not sure he stays 6f so im going to forgive his last couple of runs as its a strongly run 5f that he needs & he might just get that here with bapak bangsawan in the field.

1pt e/w PENNY STOCK 4.10 southwell (iwac) 11/2 bet365

did a bit to much on the front end last time out & if she settles she should surely turn out to be better than a 52 rated animal. this is a weak race with & grandad mac carrying a double penalty the weight might just stop him & he has to give penny 18lb here.

1pt e/w WILFRED PICKLES 3.05 lingfield (nap) 5/1 coral

1pt e/w HIGHLY LIKELY 1.30 lingfield (iwac) 11/2 bet365

full write up will appear here later..

Monday 20 January 2014

20/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! the nap landed today at 10/1 so it was happy days all round but something to go with it would of been nice but there you go. another day out at the beach tomorrow so lets see if we can find some winners..

1pt e/w LEXINGTON BAY 2.40 southwell (nap) 5/1 paddy power

is two from three on the fibresand & has the cheek pieces re-applied tomorrow which tells me they mean business as he won when tried in them for the first time. has now fallen a handy 2lb below his last winning mark & he'll do for us. unfortunately as i was writing this the 7/1 with bet365 disappeared so i'm stickong to the golden rule of never changing your mind.

1pt e/w AMTIRED 2.05 southwell (nb) 6/1 bet365

a repeat of his second on his penultimate start behind emperatriz wins this, simple as that. that was a better race than this & he absolutely loves the surface.

1pt e/w SOLARMAITE 4.15 southwell (iwac) 14/1 bet365

C&D winner who has slipped a handy 3lb below his last winning mark but it was his run prior to that victory that catches the eye. he tried to give burren view lady weight & in light of that one winning since off a mark as high as 79 the form looks good & hes another that loves the surface.

1pt e/w PROHIBIT 3.15 southwell 16/1 bet365

has been in no mans land regarding his handicap mark for a while now but he might just be down to a mark he can get competitive off here. he only has a length to find with silken express on there running at kempton in november & gets a 6lb pull in the weights on that run so he could well be the value call here with a good pace to run at & being by oasis dream the surface shouldn't be a problem at all for him.

19/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! well considering we never got a winner we did quite well today!! all 3 selections placing to land the e/w trixie & at odds of 16/1, 12/1 & 8/1 advised the place money on the singles wasn't bad either!! it also gets us nicely into profit for the month so far to advised bets which is always good. hopefully tomorrow can see the decent form continue but i have to say it looks a very tricky day so its not a day to be going mad & playing up any profit from today i'd be keeping stakes to a minimum to be honest.

1pt e/w I'LL BE GOOD 2.30 wolves (nap) 10/1 paddy power

can be forgiven his last run on the fibresand & the return to polytrack can see him back on track. he has just over 3 lengths to find with give us a belle on there running back in november be he gets a massive 18lb pull in the weights with that rival here & it must be enough for him to turn the tables surely. he then backed that run up finishing second to shawkantango over C&D at the beginning of december & that horse has since followed up with two victories giving the form a very solid look to it.

0.5pt e/w CONFIDENT'L CREEK 4.10 southwell (nb) 10/1 bet365

has quite a progressive profile & has certainly not been disgraced on his last two outings over C&D. he now falls to a winning mark but a bit of added interest is that he won that day in first time cheek pieces & tomorrow connections switch headgear & try him in blinkers for the first time & you'd be surprised how many improve that little bit extra for a change to something there not used to.

0.5pt e/w TUKITINYASOK 4.30 wolves (iwac) 8/1 skybet

the fitting of the hood seems to have brought about some improvement in this lad & this is alot weaker race than hes competed in the last twice here.

e/w trixie (1pt in total)

i was going to do a #stealingaliving top 10 but to be honest just sling the whole of the man utd team in there & you won't be far off the mark!! pop clueless david moyes at the top of the tree followed by any nine of those that started today & thats about it really!lol

18/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! nothing to shout about today unfortunately but we did manage a winner & a place in the e/w lucky 15 but that was about as good as it got. hopefully tomorrow can see a few winners..

1pt e/w RAY OF JOY 3.30 kempton (nap) 16/1 bet365

quite simply a repeat of her penultimate start over C&D behind bapak bangsawan would be more than good enough to take this. shes a multiple C&D winner who is now ridiculously well handicapped & it will be sooner rather than later that she takes advantage.

1pt e/w INCENDO 4.30 kempton (nb) 8/1 bet365

hes well treated on recent form & is more than capable of taking this but i have a slightly different angle.. when tried in a first time tongue strap he ran a then career best at the time..further down the path he was then tried in a first time visor.. and ran yet another career best effort.. a few runs later he then had the hood applied for the first time.. and yet another career best!! now the cheek pieces are applied tomorrow for the first time & hes slipped 7lb below his last winning mark.. if the trend repeats itself & he throw in a career best he will literally pick these up & carry them.. well thats my theory anyway!!!

1pt e/w AFKAR 2.00 kempton (iwac) 12/1 bet365

he does have a chequered profile at first sight but if we filter his form down to tomorrows grade over 7f on the all weather the figures read... 3-2-2 so with optimimum conditions & the fact that all his better runs have been when fresh he looks the value call here.

17/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! time is against me this evening but here are tomorrows selections..

1pt e/w BAPAK MUDA 2.35 lingfield (nap) 16/1 paddy power

taken a bit of a flyer here but the drop back to 6f could just work the oracle. the booking of super jim crowley also catches my eye replacing claimers that have ridden him in his last three runs &hes the least exposed in this field.

1pt e/w EMERALD WITNESS 3.45 lingfield (nb) 12/1 bet365

hes a bit long in the tooth now but still performs with credit & he doesn't look badly treated at all here. his length second behind alfred hutchinson has been franked with that rival following up off a mark of 92 in a handicap next time out. hes now slipped a handy 3lb below his last winning mark & could well be the value here.

0.5pt e/w double.

thought i'd have a little tickle on the C4 races for followers so i've dug out an e/w lucky 15 but i wouldn't go mad with stakes..

highland retreat 1.50 ascot 11/2 william hill

thomas crapper 2.25 ascot 10/1 betfred

grandioso 3.00 ascot 8/1 betfred

days hotel 3.35 ascot 12/1 stan james

e/w lucky 15 (2pts in total)

15/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! hope the warning to keep stakes to a minimum was heeded today after drawing a blank on what was an awful days racing to be fair. tomorrows a/w action isn't alot better but at least i can say i quite fancy these two.

1pt e/w BLUE NOODLES 7.30 wolves (nap) 10/1 bet365

looked to be on a workable mark on his penultimate run & then lost all chance at the start last time out when stumbling leaving the gate. he does have the fav to beat but hes as exposed as this fella in all fairness & this lad looks to be the value call to me.

1pt e/w RAKAAN 7.00 wolves (nb) 8/1 ladbrokes

an old favourite of ours & hes done us proud to be fair to him. he remains on a winning mark & whilst he is probably in decline he could well still be good enough to land this with adam kirby on board.

0.5pt e/w double

14/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! a nice return today owing to the NB landing at a tasty 14/1 advised last night but we couldn't find anything to go with it unfortunately which was a shame. onto tomorrow & it really isn't exciting in the slightest & a minimal stakes day is recommended to be honest but we'll see if we can find a winner or two. on days like this i like to go back to basics so to speak & see if i can find a few C&D winners that have fallen to workable marks again & hopefully snaffle a bit of value as well..

0.5pt e/w HILL OF DREAMS 5.25 kempton (nap) 8/1 bet365

still a pound above his last winning mark but the return to the saddle of super jim crowley catches my eye & he does love the mile here at kempton.

0.5pt e/w WELSH INLET 6.55 kempton (nb) 12/1 paddy power

dual C&D winner now 5lb below his last winning mark & showed enough on his penultimate start to be of interest here.

0.5pt e/w ERMYNTRUDE 4.25 kempton (iwac) 12/1 bet365

blew the cobwebs away last time out & this multiple C&D scorer should be spot on for this. has now slipped 4lb below her last winning mark & this will be the weakest race shes contested during her career.

Monday 13 January 2014

13/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! not alot i can say about today to be honest.. the nap being left 20 lengths at the start which is all well & good in a 3m chase but over a mile at lingfield.. game over! you can read as much form as you like but sometimes these things happen im afraid. the NB managed to get us a little back placing but all in all very disappointing.. so onto tomorrow..

1pt e/w MOORHOUSE LAD 3.25 (nap) 10/1 william hill

showed he was coming into a bit of form on his penultimate start over C&D when third behind tom sawyer & is weighted to turn the tables on monsieur jamie here. hes got a win & two places now from 3 starts on the fibresand so clearly enjoys the surface and a little respite from the handicapper since his last start is also a welcome bonus.

1pt e/w NOBLE CITIZEN 1.45 southwell (nb) 14/1 william hill

you may think me a tad crazy putting this one up as he hasn't tasted success for over two & a half years & also has question marks about the trip but i'm happy to give him one chance as he tries the fibresand for the first time here & that really could make all the difference. his sire proud citizen has a 28.1% win s/r & a 46.9% place s/r on the surface & thats massive stat wise. hes now on a career low a/w mark & young george buckell is able to claim 5lbs in this apprentice event so if ever he was going to run a big race again it surely has to be tomorrow.

1pt e/w WEST END LAD 3.55 (iwac) 10/1 bet365

interestingly drops into a C6 event for the first time since his last win & to be fair hes as slow as a boat so this extra trip could well be in his favour. he has no concerns regarding the surface & this is an absolute wank bag of a race that won't take alot of winning at all. hes dropped a handy 5lb below his last winning mark & similiar comments apply here to the one above, if he cant get involved in this then its lights out im afraid.

12/1/2014

Evening sportsfans!! its taken me a while but this is my first post of the new year so i hope you all had a happy xmas & merry new year! if i'm honest i've been a bit lazy blog wise but i plan to go back to doing the blog daily now. tomorrow also sees the start of a new venture that i am involved with & you can read a bit more about it below tomorrows selections.

1pt e/w MIDNIGHT FEAST 12.15 lingfield (nap) 14/1 bet victor

lee carters has his string is decent fettle recently & the drop back into C6 company can work the oracle here. hes now slipped a pound below his last winning mark & mark coumbe is good value for his 3lb claim which is also a big plus & all seems set for a return to the winners enclosure.

1pt e/w CLUB HOUSE 12.45 (nb) 9/1 bet365

another jockey whos well worth his claim is this lad george buckell & the 7lb is massive here. he was only stopped in his tracks last time by the progressive run it twice & he looks the best treated in what isn't a strong race to be honest.

1pt e/w SPEEDYFIX 3.10 (iwac) 10/1 bet365

hasn't done alot for the past 6 months but he was to high in the handicap, simple as that. alot of these horses have a level that they perform at & thats as good as they are & this lad falls into that category. now hes slipped a pound below his last winning mark (has decent placed C&D form to his name off higher marks) he should be more than able to get competitive here.

e/w trixie (2pts in total)

tomorrow sees the start of a new venture between myself & @anon_gambler. as many of you know i have my own private handicap & this will be combined with speed figures provided by jay to produce a/w ratings on a daily basis. it is aimed at people that take there punting seriously & are looking for another angle to give them an edge. speed figures are essential to any punter in my opinion & i can assure you that this guys are top drawer. there are many angles to look at when analyzing a race & whilst winners are what we all crave when the figures tell you a fav is vulnerable in this day & age the punter can explore every angle & profit accordingly. three things that are gauranteed in this life are that men lie.. women lie.. but figures dont!!! ;-)
jay specializes in maidens & my forte is handicaps so the coming together seemed a natural progression & with the combination of the handicapping & speed figures it is certainly something to look forward to!!

anyone interested in getting involved please tweet @flashfigs with the hashtag #flashfigs & we will point you in the right direction.

many thanks for taking the time to read my blog & best of luck with whatever you decide for your money tomorrow.
