Evening sportsfans!! not alot i can say about today to be honest.. the nap being left 20 lengths at the start which is all well & good in a 3m chase but over a mile at lingfield.. game over! you can read as much form as you like but sometimes these things happen im afraid. the NB managed to get us a little back placing but all in all very disappointing.. so onto tomorrow..

showed he was coming into a bit of form on his penultimate start over C&D when third behind tom sawyer & is weighted to turn the tables on monsieur jamie here. hes got a win & two places now from 3 starts on the fibresand so clearly enjoys the surface and a little respite from the handicapper since his last start is also a welcome bonus.

you may think me a tad crazy putting this one up as he hasn't tasted success for over two & a half years & also has question marks about the trip but i'm happy to give him one chance as he tries the fibresand for the first time here & that really could make all the difference. his sire proud citizen has a 28.1% win s/r & a 46.9% place s/r on the surface & thats massive stat wise. hes now on a career low a/w mark & young george buckell is able to claim 5lbs in this apprentice event so if ever he was going to run a big race again it surely has to be tomorrow.

interestingly drops into a C6 event for the first time since his last win & to be fair hes as slow as a boat so this extra trip could well be in his favour. he has no concerns regarding the surface & this is an absolute wank bag of a race that won't take alot of winning at all. hes dropped a handy 5lb below his last winning mark & similiar comments apply here to the one above, if he cant get involved in this then its lights out im afraid.
